Really good honest service. I was due my NCT mid December and had two front tyres that were well worn. Most places would have convinced me to change the tyres and took my money. They explained the minimum thread depth, showed what that meant in practical terms and left the decision to me. I decided to chance it and the car passed the NCT saving me incurring an unnecessary expense till Jan.

I've been here twice and Mick always looks after me. Never a long wait either. Absolute gentleman, and the other lads are efficient too.

The staff and management explained to me the problems and the cause of the problems that were affecting the running and safety issues I was having with my car. They replaced suspension and steering parts aswell as a rear bearing and tyre. After tracking, balancing and allignment was complete I was not 100% happy with the cars stability and they took it straight back in and came to the conclusion that the after market alloys on my car were too wide and affected its performance. I put back on the original alloys and the lads alligned and tracked them at no extra cost. Car is so much better now and feels safe and steady in all conditions even in the realy heavy down pours lately. I recomend them to everyone, there after sales is second to none.

This is the only place to go to in Athlone for tires and mechanical fixes. The lads will do everything possible to fix rather than replace parts. Never over priced I guarantee the service.

i was traveling in a rental car through Ireland and was having trouble with the windscreen wipers. I stopped at Athlone Tyre depot, fully expecting to buy new wiper blades to fix the problem. instead, they cleaned the windscreen with some sort of solution and a bit of newspaper, and the problem cleared right up! The service folks could have taken advantage of my american accent and lack of local knowledge and charged me 50 euro and I would not have even known. I greatly appreciated their kindness in this, and the gentleman wouldn't even accept a tip! I could not recommend Athlone tyre depot more.
