The downside of mothering when you know very little about cars is knowing who to trust so after getting stuck twice in the last 2 weeks and having to call the AA rescue to jump start my car I was told I needed a new battery. I put a post out on social media looking for recommendations!? O’Connell Batteries we’re recommended a number of times and after going there, I can see why! They’re so professional, honest, helpful & friendly. Explained everything to me & had a new battery fitted for me in no time, at a reasonable price. The Battery on my boat was a cheap nasty make and the lugs we're never making a proper connection. I heard about O'Connell Batteries and I contacted them. Andrew put on new positive and negative connections and I bought a deep cycle battery. I have had no trouble since. You need good batteries when you're in the open sea, as it's keep you in radio contact. It is an essential piece of safety kit to get back to dry land. Well done and thank you for sorting it out for me you certainly know your stuff.

Fantastic service!! The guy I dealt with was named Tadgh and was extremely helpful. He tested my own battery first (for free) and quoted me a price of a new battery and fitting. I left, and after making a few phone calls to other businesses I came back the next day and had my new battery fitted by Tadgh. He was very helpful and quick and I would highly recommend! My Volkswagen Golf was getting harder to start and one of the Women at work said it could be the battery. She said she had the same problem and she brought it to O’Connell Batteries and they checked it before replacing it and she’s had no trouble since. I called to them in the Marina Commericial Park and they ran a diagnostic on my battery and it was weak. I went for the best battery I could get and it was very reasonably priced. Our leisure battery in our motorhome died a death whilst staying in Cobh. Contacted O'Connell batteries about a replacement and they confirmed they had a replacement in stock. After enquiring about increasing the power of our off grid capabilities they installed two batteries including wiring and securing them whilst we had some breakfast at a local cafe. Service and price were second to none and I can't praise them highly enough. It's so heartening to find a company where honesty and customer service are at the heart of the organisation. Friendly to the extreme they couldn't do enough to help. Many many thanks, highly recommended.
