C. O.Had such an absolutely amazing experience here this morning. Decided to book a cut and blow dry for myself late last night on a whim, got an appointment for this morning. In other hairdressers I've found even if you arrive at your appointed time, you can be left waiting, even upto 30 minutes. Not the case here. Was seated immediately, which was great.
The chairs for hair washes have an amazing built in massage system that just gently massages your back, nothing too vigorous or painful at all, just pleasant.
Staff were all supremely professional and helpful, especially my stylist Jo. She clearly had an abundance of knowledge and loves her job. Personally, I've always found it a joy to watch someone doing something they're skilled in and it was obvious from the get go she is brilliant at what she does. I never felt like her competence was condescending or that she was making any of the decisions for me however - she was so conscious of checking in with me throughout, keeping me updated and ensuring she was listening to me, while offering gentle and informed advice about what might work best for my hair (which is thick and curly).
Overall had such an absolutely fab experience. Though pricey compared to the usual hairdressers I've been to before, I felt it was absolutely value for money and I'll definitely be returning in future.
(As for the outcome, I've never seen my boyfriends face light up so fast as when I walked in - we both love the style, shape and cut. So happy!)
P.Always go to Peter Marks O'Connell St branch as its where uve been going for years. I've never had a bad haircut from here ever. The stylists are incredibly hard working and very attuned to the customers needs and hair style that best suits. It's a fantastic store and the staff have always been amazing. I felt soo down and depressed and hadn't taken care of my hair in months so I went in and had my hair cut and felt soo much better even for a nice pleasant chat its definitely what I needed. Thankfully I'm feeling much better than I was and have taken better care of myself also. Now I just need my nails done... You will not be disappointed they're soo friendly and very professional. Have a brilliant day everyone 🙏
