Absolutely love the place. Everyone is so friendly, brilliant mechanics and service at McCarthy's. Price is very very reasonable too! They work very hard to ensure your bike is in perfect working order, even those tough unidentified noises are sorted. Really great at looking after you on tight deadlines when you drop your bike in at a moment's notice. Thanks McCarthy's!!!

Really enjoyed my dealings with McCarthys both over the phone and in store. I called around to four bike shops and found people to be a tad abrasive, However "Aggie" was very pleasant and helpful much the opposite to others in other stores. When I visited the store she was also very helpful and assisted me on my journey to getting a bike sorted. Would highly recommend this place, they know their stuff and are great to deal with.

Excellent shop. I brought my 9 year old Giant Defy here for a full service and new wheels. They showed me all the options of wheels, and explained everything so I could decide myself how I wanted to balance price and performance and their advice was spot on. The service on the bike was excellent too. When I brought it on to the road I thought I was cycling a new bike. Excellent price too. I can't recommend them enough. I'll be back.

A 5* review for the 5* customer service and 5* job done on the service of my bike, last week. My bike was "ridden hard and put away wet", literally, and needed a lot of TLC to bring it back to how it was "like new". I chose the "Gold 'Make like New' Bike Service" and had some additional needs (e.g. new cables, wheel bearings, chain etc) catered for. The bike is absolutely flying and feels better than ever. Huge thanks to Luis for his patience and care. I'll be back, for sure.

Could not be happier or more thankful for McCarthy Cycles! My husband and I planned a cycling trip through Ireland starting in Cork, but unfortunately did not initially plan to rent from McCarthy Cycles. When we picked up our bikes from the other bike shop we quickly realized these bikes were not going to do the job (the bikes were basically beach cruisers). We then called McCarthys, explained the situation, and asked if they would be able to do a one way rental last minute. Not only were they able to accommodate our request, but our bikes were top of the line. Our rental also included huge, water proof pannier bags (not provided by the other bike shop), USB chargeable lights, and four water bottles (which we were able to keep as souvenirs). Art (who took care of us) even helped us plot out a better and more scenic route than we initially planned. Their customer service was topnotch and really helped us have the most unbelievable trip for which we will forever be grateful.

Amazing experience. I bought a bike on their website, then I called them cause I had some doubts on the shipping and Eric helped me in a very nice way. This cycle shop was a bit far out from my usual place but my working bike packed up over the xmas period so I dealt with this shop and so glad I did. From the first meeting with John to the follow up with Simon, I was so impressed from the professionalism and expertise shown where everything was explained to a numty about bikes!! Although cost was not an issue to have my bike repaired I was stunned at what it cost compared to others I have dealt with. Worth the extra journey and I rarely write reviews but in this instance, it is truly merited to highly recommend this establishment. All reviews are spot on. Thanks a million.

Despite being very late in afternoon the MC service engineer stopped his work to look at my Shimano DI2 issue. He resolved it within 5 minutes and refused my efforts to pay. Great service guys! You saved my Head to Head trip.

Amazing experience with Louish. I was touring across Ireland and had an issue with my derailleur. We were only in town on Sunday and had to get it fixed. THE BEST SHOP IN CORK! AS SIMPLE AS THAT! Special thanx to Tom and the rest of the team for helping me with warranty claim for my damaged Fulcrum wheelset. While all other stores washed their hands off and "couldn't do nothing" these guys managed to send the faulty wheelset to the supplier and I got a brand new replacement! Thanx a lot for Your effort! I Really highly recommend this shop to anyone. DEFINITELY GONNA COMEBACK!

Ordered a suit for a triathlon that got lost in the post. Rang Mc Cathy's as the triathlon is tomorrow and they drove all the way across the city with 4 versions for me to pick from. Some amazing customer service, will definitely be ordering from them again!
