We were on our cycle from Belfast to Dublin and my rear wheel decided to buckle. We planned to head to Halford’s but came across Quay Cycles. Quay Cycles took me in and sorted my rear wheel / life out within 15 mins. Couldn’t recommend anymore.

Having been shopping with Quay Cycle for 20 years. Austin and Dom are great and very knowledgeable about their job. Always a helping hand and time for a chat . (Even a cuppa)🤣. Austin is friendly and will only sell a bike he knows will fit your needs. I always get my bikes repaired and serviced yearly and never waiting around. Austin helps with bike accessories and clothing and very helpful with cycling tips. The shop is Like a museum with all the signed bike shirts and photos, showing how Austin is liked and loved by his cycling peers. Austin having done Tour De France back in his day shows passion for the shop and towards every customer that enters it. I would go no where else , A shop with a friendly family atmosphere. Anyone looking for a good bike drop down to Quay Cycle and ask for Austin , the best around!

The best bike service in Drogheda , in two hours gear repaired and wheel without appointment. I highly recommend, very nice staff:-)

Bought a racing bike here over 10 years ago. The help and assistance in picking the right bike was second to none. I’ve brought the bike back every time for a service etc and found the service excellent, punctual, thorough and reasonably priced. The flexibility in meeting my timings was very much appreciated. I would not bring my bike anywhere else. I also have brought two mountain bikes to Austin for service and upgrade which got full care and attention. When the time to change my racer comes, soon, I know where I will be going. And for those worried about Covid19 precautions, Austin is implementing them in full.

Great service I had an issue with my gears rang them and was seen immediately and sorted out straight away. Highly recommend quay cycles. Thanks Austin 😀 Christine Donnelly

Austin went over and above the call of duty to help me get my bike back on the road and for that I'm so grateful! He was so generous with his time and patience and the level of service he provided was excellent and of little cost to me! I would highly recommend him.

Love Quay Cycles always a pleasure to deal with Austin and his friendly helpful staff. We have been using Quay Cycles since our Children started on bikes 25 years ago as we found they recommended the correct size and model suitable for our family. Highly recommend.

Just got a great pair of new wheels from Austin. At the last minute before race. This is the best cycle shop/ museum by far I've ever seen. Impeccable choice of all bike types and prices, good honest advice, very friendly and welcoming family business. If you're a real cyclist, it's paradise. Austin has been recommended to me by cyclists all over Ireland and I do the same! Great wheels Austin..we won the team sprint 😀👍

I always bring my racing bike to Quay Cycles for maintenance and repairs. Austin is a great mechanic and always very helpful. I never ask the price until I pick up the bike as I know he will always be fair and honest with me. He also gave me a great deal on my son's first racing bike recently .. A great shop and nice people to deal with. I wouldn't go anywhere else

Highly recommended. Excellent repair turnaround time, Austin went out of his way to get my bike up and running at the best price. His passion and love of bikes shows. A cyclist himself means he knows his stuff. I was happy to do the hour round trip to have him work on my bike even when I've a bike shop 300 yards away !! A1

Great local family run bike shop. Austin has always sorted out any issues with my bike; seat posts, brakes, cassettes and tyres all done quickly and reasonably priced. Austin will give you honest advice and provides a great service. Passionate about Irish cycling history it is also an impressive museum of a who's who of Irish road cycling.

Got my daughter a bike at Quay Cycles and the patience and time they made to make sure she had the right bike and the one she wanted was really great. Also they took the time to make sure it was the right size and set up for her. Great friendly professional service.

The home of cycling in Drogheda. Quay cycles have been around a long time and for good reason. A family run business headed by Austin Walsh and competently assisted by his dad Tommy. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys. Whether you want to buy a bike, clothing, accessories, need a speedy repair or even hire a bike this is the place to go. There is a passion in this place you won't feel in any other bike shop. Even if you are not in the market for any bikes or gear a visit is a must just to witness the vast amount of photos, posters, jerseys and even the odd very famous bike from the history of professional cycling that adorn the walls. One could easily lose an hour wandering around in here. I called in one day and ran into Nicholas Roche!! Having bought a number of bikes from this store over the years I can honestly say I have never had a problem. Service was excellent, advice was spot on and after sales service was always there if needed. Quay Cycles are open every day except Sundays because this is the day you will meet Austin, Tommy and staff out on their bikes. You see, they just don't sell it, They do it! That's what makes the difference!

Fantastic bike shop, Austin has always been very knowledgeable and helpful with regard to cycling. A great bicycle shop that I always come back to, I would highly recommend this bike shop to anybody else who is either looking to buy a bike or needs bike repairs. I have always had excellent service from this bike shop in all the years I have brought my bike here for repairs. Highly recommend.

I ordered rear wheel for my trek bicycle and Austin made for me the most strongest wheel ever. I was over 110 kilos weight, my daughter in the child seat was around 20kg and there was child trailer attached to the back of the bike with another two kids. Despite such a load, the wheel Austin made for me was working perfect. Also thanks to Austin and Drogheda Homeless Aid I got my stolen bicycle back. The best shop and bike service ever. I can recommend to every one.

Friendly professional service!!!!!
Just want to say thanks to Austin and Dom for getting me back on the road.
The frame of my Ridley broke 3 weeks ago and they have me back on the road,, safe pair of hands!!!!
I am going into Quay cycles since 1991 and never looked back.
Keep up the good work and Tommy too.

I got my TT bike serviced in preparation for an upcoming Ironman race and couldn't be happier with the experience. Austin is very experienced and provided lots of advise and guidance. From the moment I rang up to book my service and through to collection the customer service was brilliant and what I was promised was delivered. The cost of the service is also very good value for the level of knowledge and experience that you are getting for your money. I couldn't recommend Quay cycles highly enough if you are thinking about getting your bike serviced.

Incredible Customer Service.
Bought a Road Bike from Decathlon online and dropped it into Quay Cycles with a jumping gear issue. Spoke to Austen, who was absolutely brilliant, said it would be ready next day, and would also fitted the SPD pedals I had bought from another shop. Went to collect the bike yesterday and Austen made sure that I understood how to clip onto the pedals as I'm a complete novice to road riding. I can't remember experiencing customer service this good before, nothing was too much bother, he checked my height on the saddle and also swapped out the cleats I had bought as they weren't the right kind, he even came out to the car park to look for me as I had forgotten the instructions for the Mini Pump I had bought. The shop itself is and Aladdins Cabe of Cycling history and memorabilia, Stephen Roche"s Tour de France Bike amongst others and there isn't a bit of wall or ceiling space that doesn't have a book or signed cycling vest on it, you could spend a whole day just looking around.
I can't recommend them highly enough, a brilliant experience from start to finish, they have, yet another customer for life.

Great shop and Austin, the owner is fantastic to deal with. He has an awesome knowledge of all things cycling and has built numerous bikes for me through the years and I have a set of road wheels he built over 12 years ago still going strong....
The shop also has an amazing museum of Irish cycling.. photos, jerseys and bicycles once owned and ridden by all the Irish greats.
Well worth a visit...

We have been using Austin's services for many years for purchases, repairs and advice. I couldn't recommend it more. Professional, solid and really there is no better bike shop in Drogheda and surroundings. Owner is passionate about bikes, knows a lot about them, and being a small shop makes sure every customer is valued and treated in a very personalised way.

Great friendly family run bike shop. Austin has always sorted me out quickly when I needed repairs on the bike; pedals, brakes, tyres all done quickly and reasonably priced. I have purchased my last two road bikes here plus lights, helmets and locks when they are needed and they are all good quality and price. It's great to see a family run business surviving in Drogheda centre when so many have closed due to competition from the big chains. I would advise anyone looking for a bike in the Drogheda area to drop in to Austin and he'll give you honest advice on what will suit you.

Austin and his team could not be a more helpful bunch if they tried! Have been to this shop many times and always walk out smiling. Such a huge range of bikes to suit everyone and anyone and the customer service and knowledge of the lads is second to none. Would always recommend Quay Cycles to anyone and everyone! Keep up the good work guys!

I have dealt with Austin and Tom at Quays cycles for a long number of years. I found Austin and Tom a pleasure to deal with. Austin is very helpful he is honest and has a great knowledge of all things cycling. His shop has a museum of irish cycling which include photos jerserys and bicycles used by great Irish cyclists of the past. If you are looking to purchase a bike or have your bike serviced drive to Quays cycles where you will get top class advice and service for your bike. I have no hesitation recommending Quays Cycles to anyone.
Keep up the good work Austin and Tom.

This is a fantastic family-run business who obviously have a real love of cycling and want you to experience the same enjoyment. I went in with a certain bike in mind but although the bike was available Austin encouraged me to also try another less expensive option. I loved the cheaper one and I'm really happy with it! I've no hesitation recommending this place, if only more businesses were like them!

Great shop! I have been getting Austin to look after my bikes for 15+ years now and I would not recommend anyone else. Austin is unique in that he will sell you what you need rather than what you think you want, even if what you buy is cheaper than what you intended to buy. This is very rare but very much appreciated and if I could give Quay Cycles 10 Stars, I would!

Over the years I have bought two bikes for my son, two for my daughter, one for my wife and finally two for myself. I have also recommended Quay cycles to family and friends. That’s because this is the type of welcoming family run business that gives you the confidence to go back again. Austin’s knowledge of bike mechanics is 2nd to none. He literally knows what bike is best for you before you do!!!!!.

Recently bought a mens cannondale hybrid bike and girls bike from quay cycles, nothing was an issue for Austin the owner, or Dom his right hand man, both very experienced and know what their talking about. If you dont see anything that takes your fancy in store the lads will source what your looking for.
Very impressed by their after service, two weeks after getting the bikes, the guys insisted on bikes being returned to ensure brakes and gears were efficiently working, as these can slip initially and not run as smooth as they should.
Quality, friendly, family run professional service.

Very friendly and professional service. I’d have no problem recommending these guys for any of your cycling needs, whether it’s your child’s first bike or something very advanced. 5 stars

Austin at Quay Cycles in Drogheda has been a great help to me every since I started cycling. Be it with advice on products or servicing mine and my families bikes. He is incredibly knowledgeable, with a fantastic store and a historical collection of bikes that I enjoy taking time to look at. It’s a credit to you and Drogheda Austin. I have and will continue to recommend Quay Cycles and Austin to family and friends

I would highly recommend anyone looking for great service & excellent value when buying a bike to go to Quay Cycles. Austin will offer advice & assistance in a very easygoing way, with no pressure or hard sell.
Definitely the friendliest & most helpful bikeshop team you will ever find.

Probably the best bike shop experience you'll find anywhere. Incredibly knowledgeable owner (Austin), very helpful and welcoming. Sorted a bike to work order for me in minutes having called up the day before to make an enquiry. Also, worth having a browse through the displays of racing memorabilia from the past decades. Thanks for all the help!

I've been shopping here for nearly 30 years. Great service. Great collection of old bikes and clothes. One day was chatting to Brendan, a lady came in with a bike. She bought if from another chain store. Asked about the problem and Brendan fixed it straight away. She wanted to pay but he said no charge. Typical of the family. I have always found him to offer great value. I've always recommended him to friends.

Austin and team always so helpful and friendly. Great place to purchase a bike / or get one fixed cause it's what they have knowledge about and will always go over and above for you.

Wow. What a pleasure to find this establishment. Drove up from Dublin to pick up a beautiful 30 year old bike. Austin was so helpful, knowledgeable and honest. Delighted with my purchase. The shop is a wonder. History on every wall, every patch of ceiling, every nook and cranny. So much to see it would be worthy of an entrance fee!!!! If you are looking for a bike then drive to Drogheda and shop here. You won't be disappointed. Chapeau Austin and Tom.

There were five of us on a two week bike tour in the Northern part of Ireland and a bit of Scotland. It was day one and we left Dublin in the early morning, and we were 7km North of Drogheda when the shifting button on my Campagnolo rear shifter broke off in my hands. The following day would be a Sunday, and I needed my bike fixed now. There was a cycling event happening in the area, and a cyclist mention the best shop around was Quay Cycles, so I and another of us rode back to this shop while the others went on to our daily destination.
I couldn't believe my luck that Austin just happened to have a used Campy shifter, and he put aside his busy morning to accommodate me. I cannot thank Austin enough for getting me on the road.

I've been using Quay Cycles for over 20 years, and have bought bicycles and components from them. Austin the owner is always available to provide good, sound advice . Additionally, Austin has assembled a.fantastic collection of racing bikes and memrobelia from Irish and international legends of bicycle road racing. If you're into retro bike tech tbere are some great examples of Campagnolo, Mavic, and Shimano on display.
