Paul and Russ are two of the best guys in Dublin, helped me with a tune up after shipping my bike over from the states and were even more helpful with a rebuild after said bike was sent to the great bike shop in the sky after a run in with the luas. Great craic and even better bike mechanics. Best in town!

My best day in Dublin was thanks to this shop! The owner is the most kind person ever, he give to us two perfect bikes for only 10 € each one all day, with no extra deposit or ID card needed, we used the bikes to go to Howth (in the north of Dublin) and I recomend this experience!

My friend hired a cycle for a three day cycle tour here at great value. The bike had a top-notch Trek frame and excellent accessories and there is a huge variety from which you can hire. Putting it mildly, my friend is an overly demanding customer. Yet Paul the owner had the patience of a nun and was very well-mannered, making any number of small tweaks he requested, even as his coffee got cold. Paul also checked over my own bike before we set out which was very kind of him. He spotted a critical issue that he fixed for me right there and then. He used to run a touring company for a number of years before River Cycles, which meant he could give us tips on some great routes. These were spectacular (a few photos attached). After we had a problem with the bike (no fault of Paul’s own) he also picked it up from the hotel. I feel indebted to Paul for his kindness, patience and good humour. He went above and beyond for us. You won’t get a better place to hire your bike from in Dublin, and it was clear from seeing the many happy customers come into his shop that he’s the place to go to.

We rented bikes and touring gear for 10 days to bike a section of the Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast. Paul was extremely helpful with getting us set up with all the equipment we needed, providing route advice, and letting us leave some stuff behind at his shop while we were gone. Our bikes and rented gear were just perfect for our trip, and we really appreciated Paul's flexibility. Would highly recommend!

I would like to share the amazing experience I had yesterday at this shop. I left my bike in to get my brakes fixed. Paul offered my one of his bikes so I got cycle to work. Very cool. Now, my bike has an annoying rattle that two bike shops have told me will cost around twenty euros to fix, (seemingly the rear wheel and brake needs to be removed to fix it). I collected my bike yesterday afternoon. Brakes were working scarily well, (and he only charged me twenty euros. Amazing). It was when I left the shop and started cycle, I noticed the rattle was gone! So I returned to the shop. “You fixed my rattle!!!”. “Of course”. “But you didn’t charge me!?!”. “I guess that means it’s ‘free rattle fixing day’”. This isn’t just the coolest bike shop in Dublin. It’s the coolest SHOP in Dublin.

Paul was incredibly flexible and kind. We contacted him last-minute on Messenger and he had great bikes available for us the next morning. We rented 2 bikes for a 4-day cycle trip. They were high quality bicycles with full pannier set for a very fair price. The bikes were also very customizable (saddle, bags, etc). Highly recommend!

The owner is so nice. Bikes are perfect. The price is the best and cheapest in Dublin. They do not ask for deposit. It's an old school renting...trust between both parties. Highly recommend 10 euros all day. And he can give you tips on what to do Thanks!!!!

Needed to rent a bike to do a DIY cycle tour across Ireland. After reaching out to several bike shops in Dublin, and doing my due diligence- I chose to work with Paul. After we succeeded in our crossing- I am glad that I did. He provided good quality equipment, efficient customization, great pre- and post-sales service, and a bit of good ole Irish humor. Wow what a life saver this business is absolutely the people's bike shop , I needed a racer asap due to my own bike not being delivered from the U.K, I spoke to Paul the owner who rented me a Cannondale caad 7 light weight racer with handmade Continental tyres and carbon forks , I was absolutely amazed and delighted. I took the bike for 4 days and only cost me €50 not one shop in the world would have such an offer!!! I would highly recommend this Bike shop to all it's convenient and open 7 days per week. Thank you Paul for looking after me with such a great racer.

I rented a road bike from River Cycles for the Ring Of Kerry cycle. Paul was very helpful from my first query. Good choice of bikes and great valu. Paul even provided me with a helmet and spare inner tubes for my peace of mind- thankfully I didnt need them! Definitely recommend if your planning a cycle in Dublin or further afield. Thanks Paul.

We wanted to do a thirteen day trip through Ireland but were uncertained about the quality of rental bikes. Then we found Pauls shop and got even better bikes then our owns! He has a huge number of bikes to choose and is adding all extras you want! Paul is unbelievable helpful, he stored our suitcase, gave tips about which route is the best for bikes and even brought us to our hotel for the first night. I do ultra endurance cycling and audax events( Irish ultra challenge - transatlanticway race & race around Ireland) this shop looks after my bike and builds my wheels I need knowledge and reliability. I am not a very trusting person when it comes to my bikes and am a perfectionist, I always perfer quality this is my bike shop I would suggest you make it yours. I used to do all my own repairs until i came to this bike shop, very knowledgeable person in all aspects of cycling and i believe very good value for bike hire.

I was 18 years old.It was my second day on Dublin looking for a job ,completely alone. It was completely necessary for me to have a bike but i havent so much money. So while i was walking across the river i stoped on this shop to ask for a cheap bike.I asked a man but he only respond me "adios" , in a grossery way.That day i was so tired of looking for a job and a place to sleep and nervous of talking with people in a language that wasnt mine,with any support of anyone.That "adios" made feel so bad to me. SOME irish forget that many of them were inmigrants too. Forget their christian values of solidarity. Be careful the words you use and the way you express because maybe the other person is in a dificult situation. Now i grow up and i learn to lidiate with this people but,i was just a kid looking for a bike to work hard on you country and to survive. I give 3 stars because i couldnt prove the bikes but i think that you have to be kind with customer doesnt matter if the have money or not.

(Translated) Rent a bike in Dublin as a tourist ... Perfect! There is very much like exploring cities by bike, we got a tip from another bike shop, there to rent one. Since we are tourists, we did not need much. Have got 2 good bikes for a total of 20 euros with bike lock and a bicycle bag for 1 day from 11 clock to 18 clock. We were very excited. The owner has also suggested good routes. We did not have to pay a deposit and had a great day by bike ... We will definitely recommend this shop to our friends when visiting Dublin! 😊 (Original) Fahrrad mieten in Dublin als Tourist... Perfekt! Da ist sehr gerne Städte mit dem Fahrrad erkunde haben wir einen Tipp von einem anderen Fahrradshop bekommen, dort eins zu mieten. Da wir Touristen sind, haben wir nicht viel gebraucht. Haben 2 gute Fahrräder für insgesamt 20 Euro bekommen mit Fahrradschloss und jeweils einer Fahrradtasche für 1 Tag von 11 Uhr bis 18 Uhr. Wir waren sehr begeistert. Der Besitzer hat uns auch gute Routen vorgeschlagen. Wir mussten keine Kaution bezahlen und hatten kurzfristig einen super Tag mit dem Rad.... The rent was € 10 for each bicycle a day (we looked elsewhere and they asked for € 15). God two who had over there, they were very well cared for. the change was going well, the brakes too, wheels in good condition, well greased ... he gave us a recommendation of the area and the only thing he told us not to do was put it in beach sand (something logical, since it is nothing recommendable). What surprised us the most was that he did not ask us for anything, not even some finesse, or see our documentation to take any data ... total confidence. At 6 we returned them as requested and everything was perfect. (Original) Todo lo que puede decir de este negocio es bueno. la persona que nos atendio, que supongo era el dueño, nos trato fenomenal. le pedimos dos bicicletas para recorrer Dublin. el alquiler fueron 10€ por cada bicicleta al dia (miramos en otros sitios y pedian 15€). nos dios dos que tenia por alli, que estaban muy bien cuidadas. el cambio iba bien, lo frenos tambien, ruedas en buen estado, bien engrasadas... nos dio una recomendaciones de la zona y lo unico que nos dijo que no hicieramos fue meterlas por arena de playa (algo logico, ya que no es nada recomendable). lo que mas nos sorprendio fue que no nos pidio nada, ni algo de finza, ni ver nuestra documentacion para tomar algun dato... total confianza. a las 6 las devolvimos como nos pidio y todo perfecto.
