Reviews of Burns Butchers
Kieran's grandmother taught me in Primary school, a lady, brilliant teacher and cook. Delighted her legacy is carried on. Sneem/ Burns Black Pudding is the best I always bring back some with me to Kilkenny. Keep up the good work.
We normally live in NZ and called into this local butcher whilst passing through with our camper van. The black pudding is the best I have ever had (family recipe) and the bacon and sausage was totally awesome from locally sourced meat. Go there.
After visiting the area, we had tried the white pudding for breakfast. Lady at cafe told us to pop to Burns. Bought some to bring home, but ate the lot! Absolutely fabulous, just wish I had bought more - would defo recommend.
Second trip we took to purchase t bone steaks and pork chops. The aged t bone steaks are lovely. Much better quality than back home in the US.
Best of the best - black pudding is incredible, we bought 2 slabs and all the way back to Dublin talking to people in pubs that heard about it , we managed to get a small bit home , a chef in ennis got a chunck and made us a dinner with it as a thank u - if only they diliver to Dublin /Australia
You can try some of their meat at D O'Shea a few doors down.
Amazing produce and service you can't beat local
