I recently visited AlgAran in Kilcar with a group of friends from the USA and Australia, on our way to Sliabh Liag cliffs. We were all amazed and impressed at the wide range of natural seaweed products and Rosario's knowledge of their benefits. A visit to here is highly recommended We are lucky to have this wonderful place in our area in Co. Donegal Best of luck to them for the future!

After three months travelling through Japan experiencing the most sincere & generous hospitality from friends, their families and total strangers. I decided to have a go at expressing my gratitude by sending the most popular type of gift known as "omiyage", a gift that represents a place the giver came from or travelled to recently. Although I grew up in the West of Ireland, London is home now and full of ubiquitous "omiyage". I needed to find something unique and delicious ("oishii") and remembered reading a news article last year about a woman starting up a kelp farm in Ireland to supply the Japanese market.Whilst searching for this kelp farm I came across the Algaran seaweed website and sent Rosaria an email explaining that I wished to send edible seaweed gifts to friends in Japan (Mie & Aichi prefectures). Rosaria went above and beyond what anyone would expect from an online shopping experience! We exchanged a number of emails until she was sure I was absolutely satisfied. The "omiyage" arrived safely in time for the New Year celebrations and my friends expressed they were really happy to receive such delicious atlantic sea vegetables, they guessed that I went to my home country and sent them from there. It looks like I now need to make a confession! Thank you Rosaria, my "Atlantic Godmother".
