D. H.Disappointing experience.
I had the fish and chips. The chips were the best part of the meal (freshly cooked while I waited as they had run out). The fish was a good sized portion but was let down by being luke warm.
My wife had a quiche and chips which was good value but only OK.
The kids food was really poor. We ordered chicken nuggets and chips and while the chips were good (again freshly cooked), the chicken nuggets was the smallest portion I've ever seen. They were also inedible. Avoid ordering them if you can.
Facilities wise, the outlet is quite good. There are jugs of water available just past the payment points. There is also a microwave for heating bottles / baby food if needed. Both of these are great ideas for travellers through the airport.
There are dedicated toilet facilities (incl. a baby changing facility). The facilities were a good size and accommodate travellers with baggage. The facilities were very clean.
The staff (who I chatted with since it was rather slow at the time) didn't seem very enthusiastic about working there.
In summary, has all the ingredients to be a really good outlet but execution seems to be lacking. Shame really because Cork airport is small and has the ability to really focus on the customer.
