M.So while I do pick apart absolutely every single aspect of a hotel stay (in this case of was for a Christmas meal and three night stay, with drinks in the bar etc), I really can't find fault with this absolutely stunning hotel. The staff were amazing, they were very covid conscious which certainly put my mind at ease. In our party we had one person with a dairy and severe egg allergy. And I myself am a coeliac. We were in frequent contact with a very helpful, friendly and efficient woman called Nicola, I believe she was the events manager. Nicola was brilliant, she really knew her stuff and sorted us out. She got the allergy menu sorted and whilst she was professional she was always very nice too. The food was delicious, plentiful and of excellent quality. I'd highly recommend the chocolate brownie! The manager, Kevin, really looked after us and it seemed that nothing was too much hassle or effort. He was never too busy for a chat or request whilst also getting around to others without seeming hectic or frantic like many managers of other establishments can be. The suite was really lovely. Nice open plan and tvs in both areas. The bathroom had a shower and also a huge stand alone shower. Completely nit picking here but the shower pressure and heat wasn't enough for me but I also never mentioned this, and I think it may just have been our room as no one else in our group felt the same. The televisions had basic cable which was great, no HDMI ports for a chromecast, but again, I'm totally picking the experience apart and there's really nothing else even slightly negative I can say. The customer service was excellent, couldn't commend the staff highly enough. In particular Ozzy (from the bar, really looked after us, very nice and also very funny!), Chelsea who was very patient and accommodating whilst bring friendly too. The bar had a great atmosphere even though there were a couple of residents who were quite drunk. They weren't there for long though. They had the football on, and the availability to show other sports. Great selection of beer and wine, the cider selection was okay too. On our final night a member of housekeeping team walked in twice well before check out time (certainly could have been more embarrassing though!) No noise was heard in the night. The breakfast was unreal! They had a very good selection of pastries, cereals, yoghurt, nuts, hot cooked food and smoothies along with tea and coffee. The hot breakfast could also be made gluten free, and they had individually wrapped gluten free muesli, and gluten free bread that was toasted separately. The breakfast manager (I think that's who the lady was) looked after me and took my order each morning, and the breakfast chef was also incredibly helpful. Would highly, highly recommend this hotel for events, escapes, meals, bar and restaurant food etc. The room was warm and we had a fan as well as heating. Thanks again!

Good to see vaccination certificates being requested and scanned for meals in the hotel.
Now that it is winter, the lovely Dyson fans have been replaced with oil filled electric radiators in the bedrooms.
Breakfast now can be booked on half hour slots. Previously I could book whatever time I wished.
The breakfast servers vary in portion size, so ask for more if your portion seems a little small..
A nice breakfast selection is still served but there is no water available despite tea, coffee, milk and various juices.

A lovely hotel with pleasant rooms and friendly staff.
Check in was efficient and friendly. Book breakfast at this time even if it's included as part of your stay. Same for any evening meal.
Room was fresh and clean with a comfy bed. Bathroom was spotless and spacious.
My first room had air conditioning and my subsequent room had a Dyson fan which worked great.
Fantastic Covid-19 precautions in place including temperature monitoring here. Quick tip, with the restrictions lift capacity is limited and as such they get very busy. Take the stairs, you'll save much time.
Great car parking here too.
Will certainly be using this hotel going forward.

There is a bar which does food and a restaurant too, you have to book your visits which is fine as to be safe and make sure that the place isn't too crowded. The food at both the bar and restaurant was really nice. We had a junior suite and it was really nice, the bed was comfy and we liked the little seating area where we could just relax, was so glad there 2 tvs in there too. Amazing hotel.

Breakfast had lots of variety and allergens were clearly outlined. Had a filling dinner, about €35 for a 3 course meal.

A. C.I booked afternoon tea for myself and 2 friends. The food was really good, I’d definitely go again. The only thing that was a little annoying was that after I called the hotel and made the booking I subsequently got 5 phone calls in the space of a week from staff asking me to confirm my booking. The day I made the booking I received 2 calls from the hotel confirming my booking then the next day I received another call from a different member of staff to again confirm the booking and to go over Covid regulations for the hotel. Later in the week I received another call again confirming the booking. Then the day before we arrived I received another call which I didn’t answer because I really didn’t want to have to go over it all again but they emailed me instead to confirm.... it was a little OTT but I guess they were being thorough and at the end of the day we really enjoyed our afternoon tea.

On downside we weren't told we had to book bar ifwe wanted a drink.
We booked an interconnecting executive rooms for 4 adults which we got interconnecting bit they were not executive. So much furniture in the room you couldn't move. One of the beds was a fold up camp bed which had seen better days and one of the duvet covers was ripped and badly stained.our booking has robes and slippers but we never got these. Such a shame as it could be a lovely hotel bit the rooms let them down badly.Will not return to this hotel

The property is only 15 minutes from the airport. The rooms are good for the business traveller.

J. O.Stayed here for 2 nights with breakfast and one night dinner. The food was great. The rooms did not meet the expectation of a 4 star. Had to change rooms twice. The first room had an adjoining door which did not offer privacy. The second room bathroom door did not close and the bed side lamps didn't work. We finally got moved to another room. Third time lucky though we noticed all the rooms had the central heating turned off. Each room had a Dyson pure hot+cool link device. So why give a four star? The Dyson device plus the food here was fantastic. As you can see from the pictures, the presentation is exquisite. The food taste good, properly cooked and the waiter was very friendly. Though the first two rooms were not great, the staff were very polite and helpful in changing our room. Kudos for that.

d.This is a fantastic hotel. It is very clean and modern and is located in a quiet area. Rooms are are spacious and comfortable. There is a shuttle bus service to and from the airport with a friendly helpful driver. The reception staff are very professional and helpful also. There is a good choice of hot and cold food served in the bar and restaurant. Again the staff here are very friendly and the service is excellent. I will definitely use this hotel again.

If arriving late on a Saturday night parking may be a bit harder to find as there is normally a function on. During my last visit I ate in the bar on a Saturday night and there was a 40 min wait from the kitchen so Saturday nights just get busy. Food was lovely though. Will definitely stay here again.

The arm chairs were comfortable to write or read in. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of coffee and tea available when we arrived. The room came with a heater. Also, we ordered room service, and the food was really good. It was not over salted but they did provide a salt cellar. The Internet is fast. The only oddity was the photograph of London city at night. No need for that, would have preferred a photograph of Dublin city.

I had to change my reservation at the last minute and the staff one lady called Sarah and the catering staff went above and beyond to facilitate my request. The table was set out beautifully with white linen, flowers and China. There was a large variety of sandwiches and cakes. So much so we had to bring some home. The garden was transformed into something from a fairytale and every aspect of the day was given care and attention. A late lunch at the restaurant was a heaping plate and less expensive than expected for a hotel meal. The bed comfort was nothing amazing but got the job done. Was served the soup for myself before kids food came out so it was lukewarm when we sat down. Stood beside till with heavy tray while staff member dealt with a card issue. Nowhere to place tray to rest. Staff are nice though.

V. M.We recently stayed in this lovely hotel whilst availing of the Stay/Park and Fly package and cannot praise it highly enough. From the moment we arrived and saw how well kept the grounds and landscaping were and then to the welcoming atmosphere at reception, the standard was set. During our brief stay we met Kevin, John, Ray, Brendon and many others who were most courteous and happy to do anything to make our stay enjoyable. This attitude permeated throughout the hotel and is indicative of a management team who respect and value their customers. The shuttle service to the airport is super efficient and friendly. As for the breakfast and the service team.... Simply superb!
D. R.Good hotel and fair prices on the accommodation, but prices on alcohol after 23:00 are very high, because you have to pay for the tray and it's €7.50 ea. Also, night manager is unprofessional and rude.
A. C.As mentioned in a previous review I would have to agree with the slow service. Accommodation was good and room was clean. I had high expectations for this hotel but was disappointed after the first evening meal where service was slow and food was average. Breakfast was self service with plenty of selection so this was most enjoyable and set you up for the day. While most staff were very helpful there were some that lacked enthusiasm.

J. L.Stayed here when missed a connection due to delayed flight. It was acceptably clean. Staff was fine.. Food at the bar was average. They did have beers on draft, so that was nice. I mean, this IS Dublin. There is a very basic gym on the second floor with basic equipment e.g. treadmills, bikes, weights etc. I think it caters mostly to business folks traveling for nearby industry.

G.This is a very nice hotel, modern, clean but with apologies to the fine citizens of Blanchardstown, it is in the middle of no where. Unless you're on a bus tour, you have to drive to get there and make sure that you have a good GPS especially if you come from the airport as it takes you through lots of back roads. We stayed at the Carlton 2 times, arranged by our tour company, bookending our Irish vacation. I thought the breakfast on our first day was the best hotel breakfast i had ever eaten - great variety, made to order eggs and really fresh pastries among many other menu items. That said, all the hotels we stayed at had really good breakfasts so while our second stay's breakfast was good (and similar to our first visit), it was just the same as many of the others.
While the Carlton Hotel was out in suburbia, it was only one bus ride (40D) to downtown which we used twice. It is a 45 to 60 minute trip (depending on time of day), but you really got to see some of the diverse neighbourhoods and landmarks, as well as interacting with some of the locals. This is a really great way to see different parts of the city. Be aware, you'll need coin to pay for your fare.
D. W.I was there for a wedding and the venue was great. Food was good and the staff were lovely and attentive. The added bonus of a bus stop outside to get back home is great when you don't drive.

M. d. M. V. “. C.Honestly would have given it five stars if they'd had USB ports beside the bed. At least a normal socket. It's like they wanted to make it impossible for me to charge my phone beside my bed.
Otherwise reasonably priced, friendly staff, great breakfast options etc. They even had Dyson air purifiers, which I thought was amazing and a really nice touch as I suffer quite badly with allergies. Would recommend and would stay again.
But I would suggest to the hotel management that they consider installing normal sockets with USB ports beside customer's beds.
L.We stayed one night there because our connecting flight got cancelled. Nice somewhat posh hotel far from Dublin's center. Front desk provided us with vouchers for 3 meals and, per request, an adapter for phone charger. Rooms were convenient. Maximum TV volume: 40: too low for me to hear well. Dining room offered a rather good selection. The extras there were too expensive for me. The hostess there was nice at first but then turned sour. I reckon she's about 40 and of South Asian descent. The tea was so dark, I confused it with coffee, but didn't taste overly strong. Perhaps this is an Irish thing.

C. W.My partner and I stayed one night The Carlton before our holidays. Had a dinner in the bar/restuarant the night before our flight. I ordered a pizza and was very dissapointed when it genuinely tasted like bread and cheese, very little tomato sauce, if any! Also, part of the pizza was overcooked and the chef clearly used cheese to cover up the burnt part.
Secondly the airport shuttle, as you can find for yourself it states on the official website the shittle bus runs every 30mins, I regret to inform you that this is not the case. When we got to reception to check in and book our shuttle for the mornig they will tell you it leaves the hotel once an hour, on the hour. And then on return from the airport to the hotel it comes once an hour on the half hour. A slight inconvience since our flight landed at 18:35 and we had to wait almost a full hour for the hotel shuttle. To add to this incovenience, it was 19:35 and there was no sign of our shuttle. I rang the Carlton hotel to see what te story was, reception then said that the bus leaves the hotel on the half hour (19:30) then arrives at the airport at (19:45), so we had to wait an extra bit longer. I would advice that the hotel cease to advertise this false information on their website. This aspect of our trip was not a pleasant experience and certainely the last thing we wanted was to be waiting for a shuttle bus as we had a 2.5hr journey out of Dublin to get home. And a reminder, if you are getting the shuttle from the airport to the hotel ensure it says Blanchardstown and not Dublin Airport. There are 2 Carlton shuttles and we mistakenly hopped on the wrong Carlton shuttle, eager to get home.

A. M.We were there for World Irish dancing competition. Had coffee and breakfast. Took ages to locate personell just to find out they can only pour filter coffee from thermos with breakfast. To get cappucino we need to go to another area of the hotel. Good few people were standing waiting for any coffee at this stage. Young staff member kept just asking people if they were ok... no we weren't.
No white bread at all at the toast station.
20E for full Irish and small kids plate felt unfair for self-service buffet.
Cappuccino was below average when we got it. Just machine with buttons, no skills involved. A bit dated quality for 2019.

M. T.Guaranteed to get your crotch damp. The bathroom sink has been carefully selected to spray your crotch with water. The room was otherwise OK with strange design features like a clock that did not work, a beer cooler type fridge enclosed in a box to keep it warm, two telephones in case you can't get from one side of the room to the other and a bed which had no padding left over the springs. The "Urban" restaurant was over priced with slow and chaotic service. I ordered the cheapest things on the menu and got charged more by being billed for the set price menu. Fortunately there's a nice Thai restaurant next to the Lidl across the road.
N. I.It's a great hotel with potential for 5 stars but the location is quiet and clients are business folk rather than luxury based clients.They are fighting on price vs. client features. The staff are great.

E. K.Room has outlets for German/French plugs, US and Ireland/UK at the desk! Even if you have adadters, this extends the number of outlets available to you. Nightstands don't have outlets, so don't plan on charging your mobile device next to you. I use mine as a clock and alarm, so I found this less than ideal.
Coffee bar is great and the served food is good.
Beds are comfortable, although the pillows are a bit firm. The pillows are very typical here, however. My kettle/watercooker was clean...always a plus. The bath has BOTH a tub and a shower, both well sized.
