Stayed here after Christmas with my family. The hotel is lovely. We stayed in the family suite which was like a little apartment. One room with double bed second room had a kitchenette with breakfast bar with double and single bed inside great for families. The food was delicious and the kids clubs was great for the kids with two separate age groups. Will definitely visit again.

Room was basic nothing special clean and comfy but no fridge.
Good pool facilities including jacuzzi steam room sauna & children's area.
Noticed games room for children supervised by staff.
Stayed for dinner in the restaurant which served excellent food 10 out of 10. Hotel breakfast usual cereals and full Irish as choices also good. Plety of car parking available. Front of house staff very helpful as was everyone else. Only small negatives the room were very warm and no information about the hotel or visitors attractions.

Fantastic stay. Hotel is so modern and the atmosphere was buzzing. Staff were friendly, attentive and so helpful. Room was very clean with a lovely view of a football pitch. Had dinner on the first night followed by a few drinks and a delicious breakfast on both mornings. Short walk to the city centre with a regular bus on the doorstep. 10/10 would certainly return again!

Staff were friendly, food was nice and could stay in swimming pool as long as you wanted. Shower and sink in bathroom in room could have been more child friendly. Definitely recommend 👌

Lovely family break as always at Christmas we have been coming for years. Restaurant bar and reception all done up lovely. Cosy rooms as always. Food was lovely and staff friendly. The pool was lovely temperature and changing rooms cosy. All covid compliance

Had our day 2 wedding celebrations here jan 1st just gone... Sarah flaherty looked after us and she was absolutely fantastic.. She had the Ryan Room looking so fabulous and was there throughout the whole day/night. She is a true asset to the Connacht hotel & deserves a mention..
Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable also

We were overwhelmed at how amazing this hotel is. Huge family suite with separate rooms, kitchen & hallway.. incredible pool, kids club morning & evening, decor was outstanding and the staff were 100% wonderful in everything they did to make our stay perfect. They left a goodie bag & cards to our daughter as my daughter chose Galway to spend her Communion weekend. We loved it so much, we rebooted straight away, when we were checking out!!! Can't wait to go back! Xxx

Modern and clean. Beautiful hotel. Friendly attentive staff. The food let's it down as will probably have to go to the chipper after eating there as portions are absolutely gorgeous to taste but very small.

Rooms and staff where great. Really enjoyed the Xmas weekend. Kids had a ball.
Biggest letdown was the restaurant. Especially for breakfast. The food was fine but having to que outside every morning for at least 20 minutes was a joke. And to make matters worse when you finally get to the top of the que inside there are any number of free tables. Really annoying.
If I was the manager and seen a que like that everyday in the hallway I would go nuts.
Also took forever to get the food or drinks.
Otherwise the hotel is a great place for families

I would highly recommend this hotel the best Hotel I have been in a long time staff are very helpful and welcoming 5 star service the pool is fantastic for the whole family 👪

I had a very nice coffee break there innthe lobby, the young man (i think his name was Mark was MORE than helpful, they had an unusual named brand of coffee... I can't remember but it was one of the nicest tasting coffee's in a long time.

Friendly and attentive staff. Room clean and well presented. Food in the restaurant was fab for breakfast and dinner. Pool facilities were good. Overall a most enjoyable stay! Will be back!

Go too for Galway. Kids love this hotel. Fabulous place friendly staff. Not luxury just really good standard. Restaurant menu needs work bit disappointing but over all this is our favourite Galway hotel. Great Breakfast

On arrival I taught I would be asked for a covid cert, but no. I expected to be asked when entering the bar or maybe the restaurant or leisure centre but no. That was disturbing. The hotel itself was very clean, with a hand sanitiser on every table and on the entrance. but what good are they if nobody entering is checked? Overall my stay was good, and I would recommend the Connacht.

Lovely hotel, bed was enormous! Great gluten free options on the menu and behind the bar too!! Tasty breakfast the next morning with plenty of choice

Great hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms. Highly recommended.

Had my breakfast there, the staff were friendly, attentive and so helpful especially the receptionist and breakfast manager Bernie (not sure I hv correct spelling). Bernie has 5 star customer service, definitely will come back again & bring my partner along before Christmas.
On top of that, the receptionist did ask for my Covid cert and ID once I arrived and the I hv shown it to breakfast manager too.

Went in for breakfast as we were passing by. Lovely clean and bright dining area and even though it was coming to the end of service there was lots to choose from. Friendly, helpful staff also
R. L.
The staff were Lovely as was the hotel and rooms were fab but the food was absolutely terrible, only good thing on the menu were the chicken wings. 14 of us in total and the almost all the food was untouched. Ordered cocktails on Friday and had to send back as everything was just sour and acid. Gave them another go on Saturday, different cocktail, same sour taste, undrinkable. Not good when your paying 12e a drink.

Excellent Covid measures, hotel spotlessly clean. Friendly efficient service. Triple room was good size, very comfortable beds. Excellent location. Plenty of parking in front and also an underground one for hotel residents. Food was lovely. Swimming pool & restaurant/bar food/breakfast have to be pre booked so keep that in mind as slots fill up quickly.
W. O. D.
Very friendly staff. Excellent food. Very clean. Would definitely recommend it .Brilliant Hotel

Stayed 3 nights, thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Room was perfect, food and drinks were fabulous. I would recommend Caesar Salad & Wings in particular - delicious. Staff were excellent, especially during a very busy time and shortly opening after covid. I would 100% stay again, lovely hotel & staff.
Thank you!

We stayed here for my father's 70th birthday and the staff were extremely accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure he had a fantastic experience. Highly recommended.

Just returned from staying here with my husband and 4 children. The hotel was stunning, and the rooms were just as nice. Plenty of room for us all. The food was outstanding and the staff were lovely and friendly. The pool was lovely and clean and even with the new regulations in place we had a great stay. We will definitely be returning.
A. W.
Hotel was extremely busy. There were a lot of children running around the bar area and up and down the corridors to the bedrooms until after 10pm. Our son found it difficult to get to sleep.
We couldn't get booked into the pool as all the slots had been pre-booked because of Covid regulations. The room was very spacious and comfortable and suited us as we were just stopping over to break up a long journey from Kerry to Derry. The food at dinner and breakfast was very nice but we still had to queue for 15 minutes to get into the restaurant for breakfast, even with a pre-booked slot. They seemed very short staffed but the staff who were there were very helpful and were trying their best to keep things moving. I am glad that we were only staying one night.
D.
Beautiful hotel, very clean, excellent staff. We had some very loud, late night neighbors but other than that I highly recommend.
M. L.

Beautiful hotel very popular bar has everything you need, pool, big carpark not too far from Galway city in a taxi less than €10 for 2 people
G. R.
Lovely hotel in great location in Galway city. Rooms were spacious and all staff and facilities were family friendly. Could not fault.
N. M.
Nice hotel but some things a bit worn. Plenty of parking. Food menu is limited not too much choice. Food wasnt anything special. I got the chicken burger and it was two chicken tenders inside a bun.
E. C.
Very nice hotel and good food.
Large rooms.
Table service in the bar left a lot to be desired 2 orders lost or mislaid and waiting approx 50 minutes to be served .
Polite and friendly staff.
I would return but not in high season due to delays in service
D. G.
Went for dinner after a christening. Very nice staff, good food and service. Decor is nice. No complaints.
L. B.
Super child friendly. Variety of room types. Children's Club available n nice pool. Totally recommend for family.

Could be a more friendly front off house on arrival a bit more practice off meet and greet won't go astray and it will make the guests feeling very welcome

I have not checked in yet, but the website had said no availability for the dates I selected and when I called to question it, I had the most amazing friendly woman called Amy on the other side of the phone who got me availability and was very helpful and also very funny, I was very impressed with the customer service on Amy's end of the phone and it greatly improved my mood of staying in this hotel, I will leave another review after I check out but I am sure it will be 5 star like their customer service
H. M.
Enjoyed a lovely break, beautiful hotel, friendly helpful staff and great food.

Very nice hotel, only had a drink in the bar but was impressed, bar staff very friendly

Overall good, food amazing and staff are wonderful but covid restrictions make breakfast times and pool use times unreasonable for the most part.

While I did enjoy my stay and would go back, there were a couple issues that bothered me. Arrived on a Friday left on Sunday and every meal was accompanied by a seriously long wait, 20+ mins for the food and drinks to arrive. I noticed on the Friday that one of the public toilets had an over flowing bin - it was still over flowing when me and my family left to the point of hand drying tissues falling onto the floor. We left a "Please freshen my room" sign on the door Saturday morning, just for bins to be emptied etc and the cleaning staff ignored it, we had to ask a member of staff hours later and we were supplied with fresh towels and bins were changed. We visited the pool and we're only told when about to step into the pool that swimming hats were needed, we were not informed of this when confirming our slot for the pool with staff members and had to buy them from the hotel. Myself and others have been in hotel pools since the pandemic started and we were never told swimming hats were mandatory in any of those so I feel like we should have been informed of this with the original booking email or when we cofirmed pool times during check in, luckily we did have money with us, otherwise we would have missed out on our time in the pool as it was too far from the room to redress and go get money considering we had to walk around the outside of the hotel to get to where the pool was. Afternoon tea was a disappointment, not only because of the time it took for us to get the food but also because the sandwiches had been left out aka were not fresh, to the point were the bread had begun to harden, very unappetizing.
S. M.
We had a very enjoyable overnight stay. Lovely breakfast and staff very helpful and attentive.
D.
Great hotel but no experienced staff in the bar no leadership ,staff standing around chatting, not very friendly or chatty. Couldn't fault the hotel in regards to amenities and food was top notch.
D. D.
Great hotel. Has great facilities, friendly and helpful staff and has organised its running well under covid restrictions. The pool was great and the kids loved the kids club.
C. M. G.
Lovely hotel have stayed many times over the years but this was a bad stay. unfortunately this trip will be our last time to go elsewhere. Bad service waiting for food and drink , I considered going to the spar at one time for food. communication from staff was poor and some unhelpful . Hopefully just teething problems from returning to normal
S. Y.
Great hotel food and staff were perfect location wasn't great but loved my stay!
B. M.
Needs signs giving direction to everything to help guests. Wait staff energetic, well managed. Need a few more servers forlarge groups.
J. B.
Apartment style rooms can't' be beat. Good views. Good room. Lots and lots of amenities. Pots pans dishware trash bages fridge microwave kettle etc. Front desk staff were great also.

Very good Hotel with some amazingly helpful staff. Have stayed regularly on business trips and would definitely recommend it.

A good location, clean place and great food. I would highly recommend. Lovely experience

The Connacht looks fantastic. It is redecorated internally. I had to drop something off there last week and I was delighted to see how well it looked. I had a sneaky coffee with my friend Niall and that too was tasty! They're ready for you!

Dave the Barista is one of the best, always makes a decent cup of coffee and hot chocolate

In for breakfast, lovely, nice atmosphere and well looked after.

We just spent 2 nights at the connacht and having stayed here previously I was very disappointed.rooms need updating especially the bathrooms.the service in the bar was awful and waited 25 mins for service just to get a drink.other customers had the same problem. At one stage I was having to ask staff to goto other tables as ppl were sitting a while and no staff approached them.more training is needed in customer service as in staff constantly checking on customers to make sure they have drinks.meda (service supervisor) was excellent and seemed to be doing the job of all the staff.

A modern hotel only a stones through from the city with a homely feel.
P. S.
The spa area is great for kids. And for the galway races festival they have shuttle buses provided which is great for transport
H. A.
A very nice hotel. I recommend it to everyone.
A. C.
Very cheerful and bright Good food and drink Pleasant staff good service.

We booked the Connacht as a last minute Saturday evening night away for ourselves and four children. From ringing reservations to the departure on Sunday evening everything was absolutely perfect and made our stay as stress free with four small kids as possible. We were accomadated in the restaurant for our meal Saturday evening and for our breakfast Sunday morning with such short notice and the service was second to none, so attentive and such a pleasant experience.. The kids loved the swim in the leisure centre the only downfall was the time limit on the swimming pool we had very little time upon leaving the pool to get everyone showered dressed and out but understand that this is a covid requirement and not down to a fault on the hotels behalf. We will definitely be returning again for a mom and dad night away without the kids..
M. G.
Big hotel. Our room was on the far side of the far side. They have few car parks (at the front, at the back and also underground). Would have been nice to be able to access into the building from the back car park. Instead of walking a lot every time (to the car and back, or even to the exit).
The hotel is child friendly. They had programs for kids in a kid's room.
The hotel also has a 24hrs gym and a swimming pool which is not 24hrs.
You have to book in everywhere and for everything. Then you have some limited time there. For example in the swimming pool 45min. In the gym 1 hour. The start times are also set. Unfortunately we couldn't use the facilities as we wanted because some of the days were fully booked, or the available time slot didn't suit us (like going to the gym during the night). The swimming pool was nice. Unfortunately the sauna and the steam room off.
We couldn't go to the (resident) bar during our stay. We could get a drink only with our meal. That was a big turn off for me. Also had to book in for every meal in advance. Service was okay. They couldn't put the bill on our room, so we had to pay every time. The restaurant was nice. The food was good. Staff members were nice. Also at the reception staff members were nice and helpful.
The car park is free.
Overall we had a good time, even tho we were constantly restricted and couldn't use the facilities fully.

Beatiful hotel clean friendly great rooms will definitely return

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Ireland. Friendly staff, fantastic facilities, great location and so accommodating for the needs of a family. Any request we had was never an issue.
I highly recommend and look forward to our next visit.
J. D.
Highly recommend this place. Not the first time we are staying here.Place is changed since the last time we stayed here ,redecorated and looks amazing, perfect for family with 3 kids.We had 1 suit with 2 bedrooms which was very comfortable and we had space for ourselves.Pool is clean, with 45 minutes swimming sessions, safe distance everywhere.Have to book slots for swimming, breakfast and dinner.Food was ok,similar breakfast as everywhere, served to your table.Dinner was ok,didn't like some dishes and the other ones
Didn't use the kids club at this time.At first busy weekend after reopening the staff coped well. The reception area is very relaxing to have few drinks or a cup of coffee in the morning.
A. B.
Great hotel. Very clean and well presented. The only down side was that there was not enough staff on at the bar/restaurant which meant you were left waiting with any empty glass for a good while. The staff that were on, were very friendly and helpful.
M. D.
Overall nice. Can be a little noisy. Very nice restaurant.
J. B.
Clean. Friendly. decent breakfast n great bar food. Fabulous Staff. Good location.

We've stayed at the Connacht several times and it's been a lovely experience every time, but particularly this time after the renovations. The pool is beautiful, staff are friendly and lobby areas are comfortable. Only negative is the breakfast, which was disappointing, but overall very happy with our stay.
L. B.
I actually never stayed at the Connacht Hotel, but the service that I have experienced from the hotel has been outstanding. I was supposed to stay for two nights for Easter, but due to corona, this was not possible. Despite the fact that the booking was non-refundable, they allowed me to reschedule for October - and were super kind throughout the process. Last week I contacted the hotel again asking if a refund would be possible, due to the quarantine rules of Ireland, and once again they were very friendly! And they gave med a 100% refund. I will indeed stay at the Connact Hotel, when everything is back to normal.
S. C.
4 stars for this 3 star hotel. Had a wonderful 2 days will be back very soon for a longer stay. All the staff were excellent. Excellent food. But would have liked the restaurant open in the evening
M. H.
The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff are all helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant is good. The downside is that it's a very busy hotel and is sometimes very noisy with banging doors. The plumbing is a bit of an issue as I was disturbed many time during the night with banging pipes.

Really beautiful hotel. Bar and restaurant very pretty. I didn't eat in either so I'd assume the food it good. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment. Really nice and warm welcoming. Bed very comfy.

Great stay, lovely staff, great food, rooms are very nice and beds are very comfy.Would love to stay here again. :)

Dad was in hospital across the road, the hotel were accommodating and patient with us, the apartment we had was spacious and very comfortable, but it was the lovely staff that stood out for me and Mum, highly recommend and will return again 😊
B. M.
Great hotel. Very family friendly. Staff were great. The gym is big with lots of equipment and is accessible 24 hours a day. The pool is clean and child friendly. The bed was huge. The room was spotless. Food in the bar was great. Myself and my partner will definitely be coming back.
P. H.
Staff are very nice and friendly Rooms are good and clean.. but have to say this morning at breakfast it was only mediocre.. egg was definitely cooked 30 to 45 minutes before being plated. Now I know the sausages pudding and rashers can be pre cooked and then flashed before being served.. but not egg. It was like rubber..
Would I go back .. maybe but without the full irish.. maybe the vegan option..
M. P.
It is lovely and very clean indeed, unfortunately is loud the noise coming from the corridor and parallel rooms.
Is not that someone was having a party of anything, just the normal corridor traffic is actually easy to hear.
P. D.
Lovely spot, very near the city. Spend a Friday night here. It was very busy but that looked the norm for this hotel. Bright and very spacious. Music in the bar and a very lively crowd. Breakfast was lovely and loads of choices from hot to cold plenty of fruit and a good choice of breads. I will definitely be back. Service with a smile.

Totally family-oriented hotel. Designed as child-friendly. Staff also knows how to interact with children. Extremely responsive guest services - had an issue with our original room and the team was really quick to respond and resolve. Great food and brilliant restaurant staff. Really friendly, efficient and helpful. Had breakfast and dinner in the hotel every day during stay and it was very good every time. Pool and kids club definite pluses. Room decor is a bit dated, and a bottle of water in the room would be a positive move. Ideally located on the edge of the city. Will definitely return and would recommend for any family.
T. C.
Lovely food, with great service front excellent staff
T. C.
Hotel is fabulous, reasonable and great for families.
T. S.
Very nice. Good meal. Good atmosphere.
M. W.
Pros; staff is friendly and courteous. Food was decent for the price. Drinks were reasonably priced. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Cons; the noise never stops. Early morning garbage trucks (started at 7am), the gym is right below us and have been blaring music ALL DAY. Early morning the cleaning crew stood outside our door just loudly talking. Didn't feel like we were actually able to rest, day or night.
J. M.
Quick efficient check in. Reasonable 3 star hotel.
M. L.
Nice comfortable hotel with good facilities and a 10 euro taxi ride from town.
Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable but bathroom could've had had more attention. Extraction fan continued to emit a noise throughout the night.
Staff were professional, yet friendly.
Food was of a high calibre for evening menu. Breakfast was as expected bit self service. Leisure facilities although I didn't use were included in the cost of room and are decent I believe. Front bar and lounge were welcoming and active, yet not intrusive. A positive experience however overall. I would stay here again and recommend it.
F. w. F.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Very attentive and would send tea out to me if they noticed me in the lobby as they noticed I loved my tea. The pool is lovely and very child friendly. Hotel is spotless and breakfast is one of the nicest I’ve ever had. Only bad thing is the pillows are very hard they need to invest in softer ones. Lunch was reasonable and tasted delicious. Staff including Jenny Cain and Lisa are happy and all work there since my last visit witch is always a good sign
F. S.
Me and my girl had a really good experience here, all the staff were absolutely lovely, especially night reception staff and restaurant staff shoutout to Clodagh who took care of us. Room was clean, parking was perfect, the food was lovely. Overall had a really relaxing weekend
S. C.
An average hotel experience. Very affordable which was good, but there are some sacrifices that come with that. I found the hotel beds to be rather hard and uncomfortable, and the general room cleanliness to be average. There was lots of loud noise in the corridors late into the night (well past 00:30) that repeatedly woke me up with a start. Breakfast was acceptable for 9 euro but nothing to write home about. Hard to beat the price!
