K. C.Nice enough hotel. Very geared towards weddings rather than individual guests, especially ones travelling with young children.
The room was of a good size and was clean, but required a few little bits of maintenance here and there (sizable area of paint chipped back to the wood on back of bathroom door, handrail in bathroom needed repairing, TV kept freezing/bad signal or connection).
There were two or three signs in the rooms saying if you take this/if you do this you'll be fined xx amount along with a price list for replacement towels/dressing gowns etc in the bathroom which I thought a bit unnecessary, surely just mentioning that items taken will be charged for, in the hotel info would be enough?
We were allocated a 30min slot for breakfast which I understand is due to covid but is near on impossible to stick to when travelling with a young child.
We dined in the restaurant the night of our stay as we didn't fancy dragging our 15mth old child out again to eat.
Whilst the food was nice it was very overpriced for what it was, and the restaurant/bar also seemed quite crowded.
Would we stay here again? Probably not, as during our staycation we've stayed in hotels that were equally as good for a fraction of the price
M. K.Really enjoyed our stay here. Only problem we had was tv didn't work right. The evening meal was very expensive as the portions was quite small. But could not fault the breakfast. Would have expected a little more from a 4star

H.We were there last night for dinner 4 adults and 3 children , it was the last night of our holi, the food n ambiance was fab, the service of food was great, we ordered 4 pints n a jug of blackcurrant, the waitress came down with all on the tray, she spilt the two pints over me, n I was wearing white trousers, I do not blame her, the manager came down to apologise, but made no jesture, did not remove wet chair, or wet napkins from table or did not mop plastic table cloth. Just think the management lacks a bit oif customer service .

K.Got dinner here after long drive around Kerry, I guess being late in evening there was reduced choice on the menu, still had a great feed, on the more expensive side if you're price watching, was two others eating with me, of the 3 meals ordered mine came out wrong and had to wait extra time, if the waiter used pen and paper instead of his memory there would have been a tip but not on this occasion on my part, food was top class but I'm not sure I go back for the service, nice hotel decor added to the experience, overall enjoyable but only 4 stars for this visit

K.Not a bad hotel. Felt it wasn't really worth the price we paid for two nights. The price on Google was cheaper after I had made the mistake of booking direct. We looked for somewhere close by and 4* as we'd just come back from hiking and wanted some comfort. The check-in/out staff and process was direct and the peoole we dealt with were lovely. The rooms were clean with plenty of sockets but our room was very dark. The TV was awful (I know majority don't travel to watch TV but we were exhausted that evening and just wanted to chill out). We had plenty of towels, soaps etc. Breakfast was included in the fee. This is where the major issue was. The staff dished out food which is fine but there was no glass or cover over the cereals and some of the foods which I didn't feel comfortable eating as with Covid someone could have been touched prior. We were not given tea or coffee and felt despite being left last in the breakfast hall that we were rushed out. We didn't return the following morning to eat. We did however attend the restaurant on the first night. My partner had a roast which was delicious and I'd soup but wasn't anything wow. The dessert selection was fantastic and worth trying. Better measures were taken for Covid there and staff were very prompt and helpful.

Bar food , Lunch and Dinner here is generally quiet good but we have noticed long waiting times depending on the time of week and the time of year that you visit. The Hotel entrance and lobby is beautifully decorated and the hotels location on Killarney's Muckross Road makes it a very busy place for bar food and accommodation. .
J. W.One of the favorite places to stay while touring Ireland. Nice size rooms, clean. Nice bar. Walking distance to shops, restaurant, sites not bad for anyone in decent shape. Maybe a mile or so to town. Really good eating establishments in town. Easy to obtain taxi if needed. A wonderful buggy ride in town is a great way to see historical preservation area. The drivers of the carriage are friendly.
A. B.I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and it’s staff. I reached out to the hotel before staying, asking if they would decorate our room with rose pedals and a sign asking my partner to marry me. Not only did they do so, free of charge, but they gave us a complimentary upgrade to their suite room, left chocolates on the bed, and sent a congratulatory bottle of champagne to the room afterward. The staff was incredible and the room was gorgeous. Thank you so much for everything!!

H.Have not stayed here if I'm to be honest although I have eaten in the restaurant, the food was stunning here and I have visited the bar! 🍻😁 Always great service here at the hotel, and although this place looks well enough on the outside it does no justice at all to how it looks on the inside! It's a gorgeous looking place! Located close to the National park you do not have to travel far to see some of THE most gorgeous views and scenery you could wish for!

a. c.Top class lunch once again today in the Killarney Oaks Bar & Restaurant. Food and service is always second to none and hard to beat with excellent attention to all covid safety standards. A special note of thanks to Kirstie who gave us a wonderful welcome with her beaming smile and friendly chat we felt spoilt.
D. M.Just back from a two night stay with 7 adults and 6 children. Everyone really enjoyed their stay, the staff really made our stay as they couldn't do enough. I understand they had new staff in the bar and due to this there was a short wait for drink, there was also a bit of a wait for food but they couldn't have been more apologetic. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are a little small but clean. It is a perfect location if visiting the INEC as it is just a short walk down the road. It's also only a 8 minute drive to the town and a 5 minute drive Killarney National Park. The only issue we had within the hotel was during breakfast there is landscaping going on within their gardens, the table we sat at was covered in dust and you could see that it had not been cleaned. Other than that I would recommend this hotel if you're visiting Killarney.

S. F.The hotel was nice, rooms were small but comfortable. No air conditioner in the rooms. The staff here were not friendly at the restaurant nor the front desk. However at the Pub Lawrence and the quest singer Ivan were amazing. Very friendly and really made the time here nice. You must make sure you bring adaptors as well to charge things or use your computer. The hotel is about a 2 mile walk from the town so another can ride to get to town. Also this place would benefit a shuttle car to take you into town. The town is beautiful and lots of little shops and many Pubs. We did see the Celtic dance show in town. I think it was 30 euros.. the show itself wasn't bad Irish dancing and singing however it's small and very warm inside the theater.

J.Lovely hotel! Stayed here for a concert in the INEC, which is just a short walk down the road so a perfect location for that. A little bit out from the town though, so you would need a taxi if you’re planning on heading into Killarney. Ate at the bar and the food was great. Staff are also nice.

I've dropped it 2 stars because 2 visits ago they took double the money off my card by accident ...they took money for food and then same again in cash back when I didnt get cash back . I luckly noticed a few days later and they were very slow getting back to me and eventually paid it back but hardly a apology....
Then l I went there just before christmas and they made another mistake on the bill..
I went there again today and everything was 100%
Other than this it's a lovely place to go at Christmas,,, the decorations are fab and food is really nice

Always friendly staff waiting too greet you at reception. The food and service in the bar on busy Sundays when we would visit was just outstanding. The hotel would be buzzing for food on Sundays. The staff would be under so much pressure but they never let it show on there faces. From managers right down too the bar staff would be helping each other out which is lovely too see.<br/>Our wedding day:Eilis (wedding co-ordinator) is an absolute asset to The Kilarney Oaks Hotel and I hope she is highly appreciated for all her hard work. For her amazing people skills and organisation. Our wedding day is like it was her wedding day she makes every single bit of it amazing and run so smoothly. The phone calls through the year wondering was everything going ok , did we need help with anything really put us at ease. We could pick up the phone at 12 noon or 10 at night and she would still come on the phone the same joful and super motivated to help in any way to reduce stress from ourselves. We can't thank you enough for making out special day so fantastic.<br/>The hotel also let us stay on the second day which we had finger food with music outside the reception room. The double doors were open and it was a great space for our crowd.<br/>I can hand on my heart say if anyone was too book their wedding day right now with eilis she would look after you both 110% and that the food , accommodation, decor and staff would be perfect. <br/>I will be recommending every newly engaged person I know and also clients that come into our salon in cork to go down and see your hotel.<br/>We wont be strangers definitely. D. H.The bar was very clean and the staff was very helpful and nice. Unfortunately a few taps ran dry which was disappointing but they stated they had a large event the night before so understandable. Had the fish and chips and they were quite nice.
ד. ל.Pleasant place, not unique or anything, but a good place to stay if you'd like to visit Killarney park (which is a marvellous place by itself, and well worth the visit), because it is outside the city and very close to the park entrance. Prices are fair. Nice restaurant in the hotel itself, which saves you the trouble of getting into town to eat.

Firstly the good, great food fantastic table service even though our waitress completely forgot to bring my latte we waited approx 20minutes for it but as we were not pushed for time it was not a problem and we had a laugh with her about it and also got a biscuit for the delay.
Now for the bad over charged for an extra main course we didnt get unfortunately we didnt spot it until we were on the way home and had to return to get it sorted we were refunded however it did upset our experience.

B.This is a beautifully located hotel on the picturesque muckross road in killarney, our youngest girl will be married there in June 2021 so we decided to go there for lunch and a look at the hotels facilities, lunch was very nice, and the manager was very nice and friendly and professional as she gave us a guided tour of the hotel, it is beautifully decorated, especially the very romantic function room for our wedding, it epitomizes the beautiful day you expect for a fairy tale wedding, staff were very nice there as well.

F. R.We found a place for the car and the pullman (o come cazzo se dice). Is near the road and not too near the road...obliously a mini-road...certainly not a mini-mini-road. On the other hand they have a large biodiversity: indeed you can find small tree, medium tree and big tree. Think that there are also giant tree and enormus tree in the huge park. There are particulary tipes of tree or better mini-mini-tree that are very similar to plants.

C.(Translated) The Killarney Oaks is located directly on the National Park, which can be reached on foot. In fact, it was for the quite harmless price a small surprise on our tour. The lobby is indeed luxurious and the rooms are very spacious and smartly furnished. The staff was very helpful and friendly (Thanks to Ellen from the front desk! You were great!) The hotel has a bar and two restaurants, which makes finding the evening supply easier. The food was very good, the bar cozy and overall it was a nice stay. Plus point: A nice, large parking lot in front of the house.

Du warst großartig!) Zum Hotel gehören eine Bar und zwei Restaurants, was einem die Suche nach der abendlichen Versorgung erleichtert. Das Essen war sehr gut, die Bar gemütlich und alles in allem war es ein schöner Aufenthalt. Pluspunkt: Ein schöner, großer Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus.

Für die Lage würde ich eigentlich gern noch einen halben Stern abziehen, das Stadtzentrum ist leider zu weit weg um es zu Fuß zu erreichen. Aber die super wifi Verbindung und der Service macht dies wieder gut.

Wir waren hier für 2 Tage mit einer größeren Reisegruppe (Rundreise). Zimmer im Erdgeschoß. Sehr warm. Keine Klimaanlage. Fenster konnten wegen Einstiegsgefahr (Erdgeschoß) nicht offen gelassen werden. Bei offenen Fenster drangen auch sehr starke Küchengerüche ins Zimmer. Also Fenster zu. Da dieses Hotel auch ein Hochzeitshotel ist, und an 2 Tagen auch 2 Hochzeiten stattfanden sehr unruhig. Durch diese Umstände schlecht geschlafen. Essen durchschnittliche Qualität. Kaffee schmeckt nach gefriergetrockneten Pulverkaffee. Zum Abendessen durfe man zum Buffet erst nach Aufforderung. Obwohl keine Gäste am Buffet waren wurde man zurück an den Tisch geschickt um dann auf die Aufforderung zu warten.
