E. H.What a super stay! Very comfortable room, great shower, very clean, delicious food in the bar and at breakfast and very friendly and attentive staff. Within an easy drive of all amenities in the area and handy for getting back on the motorway home. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Everything was spotless, and staff (particularly Anthony, I think that was his name) could not have done more to ensure we enjoyed our meals.
The food was lovely, an original twist on some of the dishes and plenty of everything.

Room was serviced when we were away, but never left proper supplies for next day, no soap, no bath towel, no milk, ..
The staff were lovely, ud have to say, and even tho they had plenty staff, we were left waiting for coffee after dinner. It was when the head waiter came to clear the table he asked did i not get my coffee... breakfast on both mornings was also great..

Staff should be allocated sections to avoid confusion like most places.
No net curtain on room window (bottom floor)
Door had oil running down it and spring hinge was broke. Television had 3 big fingerprints and tea tray had tea stained coasters.
The main redeeming factor about our stay is that I could see that there was a lot of new inexperienced staff that were asking each other what to do, so given time I think these small issues will be sorted.
Overall this is a beautiful modern hotel with friendly staff.

Hotel is great location close to shops McDonald’s next door, pizza place across the road. Hotel bar is beautiful with lovely bar food. Gorgeous restaurant which we ate in one night, really nice.
What makes this hotel exceptional is the staff, so welcoming, friendly and can’t do enough to help you. Rooms are lovely, and without a doubt the most comfortable hotel bed we’ve slept in.
Looking forward to our next visit.

The hotel is fabulous inside and out and only a short walk from shopping centre. The food is yummy and the portions are huge. Would definitely recommend 100%
G. M.From start to finish, the service I received from the staff was better than expected. And on departure myself and my colleagues were on a first name basis with all the members of staff. The room was fantastically tidy and pleasantly comfortable.
Despite only having the breakfast and lunch only the food in which I had was very tasty, with members of staff happy to accommodate in changing my order to suit.
The Oakwood arms were also fantastically compliant with the current covid 19 restrictions in place and all areas of the hotel were cleaned to the highest of standards.
Despite coming down for business, I will return with my family on a holiday and couldn't highly recommend this establishment to anyone headed to Shannon to stay.

R. G.We are just leaving after 2 nights staying at Treacy Oakwood Hotel. It is above & beyond any hotel we have stayed in Ireland. From the reception staff to the bar staff we were greeted with smiling faces & fantastic service. We felt very safe & social distancing & cleanliness were at the highest standards. Our family room for 5 was the perfect size with very comfortable beds. The food was absolutely excellent 👌 we ate both nights in the bar & breakfast was delicious. Id also recommend trying one of their cocktails 🍸 💯 movie nights for the children every night from 7.30 is a big hit with the kids. We look forward to visiting again and thank you to all the staff for making our staycation so enjoyable. From The Nolan family 👪 ❤

P. M.My family had a 4 night stay in Traceys Oakwood Hotel. Hotel Staff couldn't do enough for you, very friendly. The rooms were excellent, cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Only let down is the location, if you are in Co Clare to visit the Cliffs of Moher or other cultural sites, expect at least a 40min drive.

The decor may be a little brash for some tastes, however, it is modern and fresh.

S. G.Wow! A nice place surrounded by wasteland, half an hour outside of the civilization! An almost stylish hotel with great reception area, and modern rooms. It is a bit stretched and we actually had to walk a minute to the room, but it was quiet. No noise really. The restaurant was okay, but nothing special. Still, we are talking Shannon here so there is not much else available with the local car wash being the central point of entertainment.

T. D.This hotel is just a few minutes from Shannon Airport and just off the Shannon to Limerick road. Loads of parking, with easy access.
The Hotel is newly refurbished with rooms finished to a very high standard. They are spacious and spotless clean. The food in the restaurant served up without delay, and very good value. The breakfast was first class.
For a mid week night there was a great atmosphere in the large comfortable bar, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
This hotel has just been awarded a 4 star status, and rightly so.

D. J.Lobby and public areas were nice and modern. The room was shabby, dated and the bed was small but surprisingly comfortable.
And for €95.00 for a 3am wallkin and a 8am checkout was a bit rich.

P. G.What a wonderful stay...... this wee gem of a Place is so nice and has been brought into the 2000’s very well indeed. We had a late arrival time and were greeted with a warm welcome.... 2 tired parents and three sleepy kids..... 3 days in a very well located place.... right beside, garage, Mc D’s, a lovely pizza place and 5 minute walk from shopping centre.... staff were very nice and extremely helpful.... nothing was ever a bother.... breakfast was very nice and even the room service food was lovely.... which is hard to get at 9:30pm. Only one down side was we had to ask to get bed clothes changed but once asked it was always done thereafter. Defo stay here again when in the area.

j. m.This entire staff was inviting , helpful and overall amazing. The food here is beyond what I expected and the bar and lounge area made me feel like I was right at home. Room was a nice size and clean. Breakfast that is included is very good, not your typical continental breakfast. If you need a taxi make sure to ask for Bob at the front desk you won't be dissapointed with his Irish hospitality.

I'm here every week for the last few months (working in the area for a while) and never complained. Food is very good as well, except my greedy face always wants more than the normal human serving.

Breakfast had a good selection at the buffet and omelet was very good. The rooms were a bit worn, the beds were soft and did not provide a hair blower or wash clothes. Convenient location to the airport.

M.This review relates to the bar and the location. If you are in town for business or waiting for a flight, this is a perfect location. The bar is nice as it is frequented by locals and not so impersonal and the food is good too. Great choice in the Shannon area.

H. W.Hadn't been for a while so after landing on a flight I called in to meet up @5pm with an old friend a month ago . Looks newly refurbished. Bar & Dining table area classy. My friend did well with the Chouder & enjoyed it. Maybe I took a duff menu choice. The Vegetable soup was initially boiling & scalding. So when I eventually tried it, it was indistinguishable & rather tasteless as a Vegetable Soup. To be fair the lady exchanged it & said the Chef had done a new batch but sadly it hadn't improved much. I chose the Pork Terrine. Again wasn't great. So I'd come again & use it as a meeting venue but steer clear of those menu choices. The coffee was fine.

There's Lidl, Dealz, Iceland, and Dunnes Store at Skycourt Shannon Mall for daily needs. There's McDonald's just next to the hotel, 2 mins walking. Several Asian restaurants within walking distance.
c.I stayed here for work over 2 months and used many rooms, Rooms are ok. Some need work though. I always had the problem that the shower was to hot or cold which needs sorting out. Fire alarm went off a few times...I got told it's because of the shower. Apart from the things that were wrong. The staff couldn't of been better. Always very helpful. I enjoyed the food, did think was abit over priced though. Oh and the gym needs more. Few running machines and back press and that was it. Needs dumbbells.

J. H.Stayed here for one month, each week was a different room. Really loved the hotel, the staff will greet you every time you come within yards of them, always friendly. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced,all the comforts of home including TV, WiFi and ethernet connection in every room, close to Shannon airport and Shannon industrial estate. As a smoker I was afforded a smoking room which was ideal. Highly recommend the hotel.

F. K. (.Okay so at first glance I was a bit apprehensive. From the outside the hotel looks like a pub. We arrived on a Thursday and it was late so we decided to go for bar food. I went for lasagne. It's was terrible. I brought it to the attention of the staff and they were so apologetic. They offered us a desert and a drink each as an apology. We decided not to have a desert but they insisted we don't pay for the next round. They actually looked after two rounds for us. So we went up to the room. The room was clean. Shower was fine. Mattress was a small bit sunk in the centre but was nonetheless comfortable. Breakfast each day was buffet style and in fairness it was great. Irish or continental was available. Dinner was another level. Absolutely outstanding quality. To finish. The stay here was thoroughly enjoyable. Staff were excellent. Food with the exception of bar food on night one was great. Last thing. The Guinness was not great. I think something should be addressed on this front as the pints tended to die too quickly. 4/5

This is a very nice, tidy, well appointed venue with the nicest washroom facilities I have seen in Ireland so far (I'm living here 15 years), but if I'm judging this venue on food, then sorry, this is not something I'd care to relive... It's been my experience on quite a few occasions, that corporate functions bring out the weaknesses of the hospitality sector, from the first step through the door right up till the taxi home, and by and large, I can forgive much of it, but where I can't get over it is poor food, in terms of portions, preparation and presentation, and this is equal to other hotels that I've been to, so I'm not singling out this hotel for 'special treatment'... Food out is a treat for many, and as such carries the establishments reputation in its wake... A private dining experience might present a wholly different picture, and I hope it does, but for myself, I can only praise the venue for being clean, tidy and well appointed....

R. H.10 months after initial review I'm sad to say standards have slipped. We had late lunch/dinner and it was very average.. my wife's salsa chicken tasted like they used a jar of uncle Ben's sweet and sour and my steak was underwhelming with an insipid pepper sauce...

K. J. J. B.Coming here over 25 years now and to be honest I was dreading the changes Treacys was going to bring to my home from home. I had nothing to fear. The hotel was and still is being transformed tastefully to a modern look yet retaining its charm. Staff are fantastic food is amazing (try the pork belly) and of course breakfast will not disappoint. Shannon is not always a destination of choice for a break but mainly for business or stop overs but that should not be the case a break here puts you a close distance to Limerick City and Ennis not too far from Galway either oh and try Foynes a lovely village and a flying boat museum. Shannon people are friendly and love a chat especially in the bar. If the locals go here then its good. Give it a go and may be I'll see you there cause I'll always be going back.
