I just finished a piece of fried chicken breast with some Quince Chilly Jelly from Crossogue Preserves. I don't think I had a better piece of chicken in a long, long time. It's really obvious that this jelly was made with great creativity and care. The spiciness and sweetness of the jelly has been balanced perfectly and it manages to not overpower the meat's taste, even if it is chicken. It adds sweet and spicy flavours to meat and makes it quite the glorious dish. We have other jams and jellies from Crossogue Preserves in our house currently, and of these, I've only tried the blueberry jam. It was also quite phenomenal, but the quince chilly jelly is the jar that impressed me the most so far. Definitive recommendation, this business.
