Peace, tranquility and a place for prayer. My grand and great grandparents are at rest here. I just feel close to my beloved Mother who unfortunately is not buried here, but always loved Carrigrohane.

What a beautiful old church. A real piece of history. It's just absolutely gorgeous inside. You can just about get a feel of what it must have been like a couple hundred years ago. The graveyard is mind boggling. There are graves going back to 1700's, you can just spend ages walking around trying to read them all. But the church itself shows the architecture of the times. Smaller windows and smaller doorways etc. It's worth taking a stroll around this historic place. And, a credit to the yards-men and the ladies who were cleaning the inside of the church.
