My 7 year old son and myself are both Irish and came here to experience the Orthodox Church on Irish soil and we found it to be one of the best ones we visited so far. The Divine Liturgy is in both English and Greek which is a great help for people of all languages. Not that this is important but the priest Fr.Thomas is also Irish too.
The Church is small yet very comfortable resembling some of the Greek Orthodox Churches I would have visited whilst on holidays in Greece itself. You are greeted with beautiful chanting, incense and the glow of icons amidst the candlelight. I highly recommend you come here and experience this for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
I have to come back again soon.

This very attractive little church is not easy to find unless you know the area.
The Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation is located in central Dublin, in the Arbour Hill Area and it is beside a Hellenic School.
The late 1990s saw an influx of people to Ireland from eastern Europe. The Russian Orthodox Church began its activities in Ireland in 1999 with monthly liturgies at the Greek Church on Arbour Hill in Dublin. In 2001, it moved to a former Anglican church at Harold's Cross.
Before the building became a church it was a factory or workshop and originally it began as kindergarten school in 1890. One account that I came across states that the building once served as a schoolhouse operated by the British army.
The building was bought by the congregation in 1993 for £80,550, and was consecrated 12 months later after major renovation works.
The Sunday Holy Liturgy takes place from 11am to 12pm.
