Reviews of St John the Apostle Catholic Church
If it weren't for Bishop Eamon Casey's vision and determination - this church wouldn't exist today. It was part of his "Meitheil" church building scheme of the 1980s, which also gave us the Sacred Heart Church in the Westside. Unfortunately, events conspired and Dr Casey had to quickly retire, so to speak! Knocknacarra Church now is a fitting tribute to this great man; a monument to his steely determination, but sadly his last ever erection in Galway. Apologies, that last line didn't come out as expected - no innuendo or double entendre intended.
Well kept, well run, say no more.
Lovely church in Knocknacarra, but car-park is a nightmare
I love the family tree on a display wall.
