Came in looking for shoes that I could do some running in. Didn't really know what to look for, but after speaking to someone inside he directed me towards these Merrell "trail glove' I tried them on and they fit like... Well a glove. Have been using them the last week or so and I couldn't be happier they're comfortable and provide great grip on the trail I walk. In fairness they didn't just show me the most expensive ones but actually asked what I was doing and then showed me the best suited ones for me.

Has to be my favourite outdoor clothing shop in Limerick. Their is great deals and well fordable clothing . I got three jackets and three jumpers from 2 years and ago for skiing and the quality hasn’t changed at all . Still feels like the clothing is brand new . Not only is the clothing fantastic the service is top notch . They are extremely kind and are very approachable. I only buy my jackets from Emerald Limerick as they have so much brands to offer and my experience from the past

Went in looking for hiking boots for walking with my son in areas where there is a lot of hard stone as well as plenty of wooded areas and forrest floor. The man I spoke with in there really knew his stuff and recommended wonderful hiking boots. he was very thorough and did tests with my feet and sizing my feet before I left. I have been using now these boots non stop for over 1 year and they are fantastic and I'm sure will be lasting me for another while yet. I highly recommend this place for if you need high quality boots for long hikes. Also huge thanks to guy who helped me there. Will definitely be returning if I ever need more boots.

Great selection, great knowledgeable staff, but no refunds and that's not good at all. I bought a pair of Columbia Titanium boots there which I didnt like but the only to fit my wide fit, after a few days taking short walks the upper membrane is coming apart and the left side boot makes noise when walking....not happy at all. 🌟 I was contacted by Emerald and they exchanged the Columbia boots for Merrell moab walking shoes. The Merrell boots are very comfortable, water proof, lovely fit. My only problem with the Merrell boots are their grip is very poor especially in the wet on rock surfaces. Thanks Emerald Alpine.

Very friendly staff. They really know their stuff, from bags to tents, hiking shoes to ski boots and loads of other stuff. They offer very good advice and can tell you exactly what you need. They'll even let you know the weather forecast for where your going. I've purchased two Deuter bags, two pairs of Merrell hiking shoes, a pair of skiing gloves and a rock climbing helmet, with the help of the staff and am very happy with it all.
