I love Lemon Thyme. Me and my husband are regular customers and we have always been very happy with the food as well as service. The open chicken sandwich is absolutely delicious and the coffee comes in cool mugs that keep it warm for longer. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the place is now beautifully decorated for Christmas. I really reccoment this place to anyone who enjoys tasty food in a nice atmosphere.

Food is nice and fresh but over priced. Really nice cosy decor. Really miss a hash brown option with breakfast, they charge u for a portion of beans & only give u a teaspoon of them on side. Everytime we go we are served by the same short haired blond girl that always seems to have had a very bad day (rude obnoxious) All the other girls are lovely so it makes up. Over all..Nice place to eat but definitely twerk up a few things for the 5 star review..

First time to visit this cafe. First impressions not great, girl who seated us gave us a slight grunt of a hello, brought us to the table and walked away. 5 of us put at 4 seated table and an extra chair shoved at the corner. Same girl took payment at the end still no better customer interaction. Next girl who came to take orders was much nicer. Overheard another staff member telling a customer they didnt like putting tips on card bills because it gets awkward with the till count at the end of the day and it can take a while for the card transaction go through. Just didnt sound great. 3 teenage kids got the pancakes, which they absolutely loved and were very reasonably priced for the portion size. Wife got the small breakfast which was very small, didnt look much served on a side plate. I got the large breakfast which was over priced at €12! Swapped the eggs for bacon. The sausages looked and tasted like a cheap supermarket small sausage looked shocking on the plate, bacon was the same very thin. Nothing great to say about it at all. We were sat outside on the decking area even though there were plenty of tables inside. The food went cold very quickly which didnt help the poor show on the large and small breakfast. Would return for the pancakes for the kids but not the fry breakfast. Much nicer places in Ashbourne.

Stopped in weekend before last for a late lunch. Nice buzzy atmosphere. Good covid precautions. Seated quickly. Took a chance on a ham hock sandwich, loved it and would defo have again. Lovely cappuccino to wash down. Service was prompt, friendly and polite. Will head back with family next time, menu looks like plenty for everyone.

Lovely spot. Staff are friendly and the food is good. We used to stop in after a walk in Balrath woods with the dog but he's not allowed on the outdoor terrace since refurbishment. So we go elsewhere now.

Really lovely cafe, staff and food is nice. I've only eaten breakfast. The breakfast menu is short, but with veg and vegan options. Lovely garden centre and shop attached. One star off as I think the breakfast is a small bit overpriced.

Have come here a few times now and it is always wonderful! A small cafe in an eco cabin less than a 5 min drive outside of Ashbourne. The pancakes are delicious and always freshly made, and their coffee is good too. I am yet to try their selection of homemade cakes and treats which all look delicious too!

Don't understand the negative reviews. Was there yesterday quick friendly service beautiful food and place. The owner does all the cooking and baking I believe. Its new and I am sure like any new business finding its feet. As for the picnic tables I am sure if you really wanted you could take a table and chairs out from inside. I love that we could bring our puppy who was on his lead and is well behaved .

Only Because public transport does not leave me close to it, it would be difficult for me to be a regular customer of the Lemon Thyme. But, if i could I most definitely would.
