Lovely atmosphere
Fast service
We were in Athlone for the day and a friend recommended Coffee Haven as the go to place for a bite to eat.
Nino - owner - showed us to our table (nice the way the restaurant is split into sections) and talked us through the background of the fascinating pieces on display - Italian pieces from their family as well as vintage miniature cars
We were served promptly and were delighted when the food arrived - delicious carbonara, chicken wings, chicken burger. Tasty and filling.
I would have taken a photo of the carbonara but it was too tasty to wait!
Recommend for great food if you are in Athlone
t. M.Had a lovely breakfast, with my mum and my friend ,the cafe/ restaurant was clean , toliets clean , they have inside or outside dining so if your in athlone it's a must, they do full Irish breakfast and kids menus as well recommended
J. M.Food was OK, nice coffee. Waitress was efficient but not friendly, been here a few time before and always felt welcome, unfortunately not this time.
B. M.We got breakfast here afew weeks ago and we were amazed by the quick and friendly service. The food was just amazing, words can't describe the quality of the breakfast we had. The customer service was brilliant and compliments to the chefs.

Omelette is so fuffly, there was a generous amount of feta cheese and olives in the Greek salad and we are on Keto diet but we tried the carrot cake and didn't regret, was worth cheating for a cake that is so good. As for the staff, they were all wonderful!

M. R.Wonderful atmosphere - for some reason it reminds of Central Perk from Friends, very cosy, an ideal place to relax with a friend or to read a book. The prices are typical cafe rates, although the coffee is slightly cheaper. I have only ever eaten a club sandwich which tasted pretty good and the portion was fair. I mostly go for the coffee, which tastes very good, and the atmosphere.
The staff are very friendly, especially the owner who seems to be a very warm character.
Probably my favorite cafe in Athlone.

C.Amazing value breakfast, and everything super tasty and the addition of French toast to the veggie breakfast made this a perfect hangover buster, especially when tea/coffee and an orange juice were included in the price. A little cold if you sit too close to front door, and floor was a little slippy but to be fair it was lashing out that day. Staff wonderful, friendly and accommodating.
f. h.Lovely atmosphere. Went in there with my 2 daughters on fri 14th august. We had dinner. The owner,well I assume he was the owner was so friendly chatty, gave my youngest girl an extra helping of choc milkshake. He hadn't any sparkling water left, so offered me a soda water instead no charge. Food was delicious will be there again.

W. Q.Coffee Haven is a great place for breakfast, lunch and more. The staff are great here and always friendly, maybe this is why you always feel welcome here. It is handy too with ample parking opposite the door. Well worth a visit, comfortable seating and relaxed surroundings. One of my favourite places, specially if I want to go have good food and stay for a chat afterwards.

S. W.This is probably the best place to get a coffee in Athlone. Their food is amazing, it's regular Irish cuisine but they have such fresh ingredients and offer so much choice. I have been here numerous times and whether you go for coffee or breakfast with a friend or to just relax reading a paper, it's a great place with a beautiful building. The staff are amazing, friendly and fast. I cannot recommend this coffee house enough. 10/10. GREAT PLACE
S. M.I thoroughly enjoyed my Eggs Benedict here. The Manager is a lovely friendly professional guy with a great sense of humour. This is a very reasonably priced restaurant and I definitely will be returning here 😁
C. P.I always enjoy the blueberry pancakes here. The Full Irish looks great as well, and they have great portion sizes. Sometimes the coffee can be a bit slow to arrive, but it's always worth the wait.
R. H.Over indulged on a grand scale here. Food, cakes, coffee, all of which was superb. Host is a legend, chatting away to everyone and telling stories. Epic coffee machine on site too, returned. Putting out great black stuff! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Coffee made hot and strength to my specification - amazingly good coffee!
Meal I ordered was a fresh cod. Mushy peas were amazing - really tasty.
Salad fresh and chips are chunky and fluffy
Cod batter was nicely seasoned only a tad less of oil and itd been the best ive had in a long time but ill admit im a bit picky as regards that side of things so take it with a pinch of salt. Cod itself perfectly cooked.
Definitely worth a visit - you will be looked after
