Ate there in 2016. Had the Builder's Breakfast...an Irish breakfast feast. One of the best breakfasts I've eaten anywhere, and I'm a man who had eaten a lot of breakfast. Mostly locals here, friendly staff, wonderful food. Plus they serve breakfast all day until dinner time. Worth a side trip off of M7 for a bite.

Virtually zero genuine vegan offerings. Apart from this, nice staff, clean and comfortable. Pleasant pedestrian friendly location. Spring/Summer terrazzo would be nice.

The food was lovely but unfortunately there was no choices for vegetarians excepta goats cheese sandwich (which you get everywhere). In the end we had to choose to have a 'create your own breakfast', as I said no specific special veggie breakfast. We I ordered the 2 breakfasts (of hash browns, beans, mushrooms and scrambled eggs) I asked to check the order and verified it was correcton the paper. When my son received his there was a large piece of bacon on the plate. This was taken and the food replaced. The food was lovely though and the restaurant was really well furnished. I really wish there a few options specifically for vegetarians to make it a more rounded and special menu. I myself am not a vegetarian so the choice for me was good, although as I had seen good reviews for this place. I had brought my son in expecting something a little special for him. I would go again though and bring him, hopefully they will have increased their options by then.

Walked around for a while looking for somewhere to eat lunch. Was recommended to The Ugly Duckling by a local and glad we went. Food was very good. Large selection. Quaint surroundings. You could see the locals frequent this place. Much variety amongst other patrons. You won't be disappointed.

Delicious sandwiches! Very large, make sure to split them among two people or take one half home for later. I'd recommend the number 1 - oven baked ham, Irish cheddar, sliced tomato, onion, and the best part: ballymaloe relish. Then make sure to get the carrot cake for dessert.

Lovely food and lots of it. Iam delighted to hear they have opened up an evening restaurant Thurs Fri Sat and on Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend
