K. L.I have been a loyal and frequent customer of Mocho Beans for years. Discovered today that this particular branch has decided not to serve eggs for breakfast anymore. Eggs! This struck me as a very odd decision but maybe I am behind the curve on some new trend. Anyway I will be eating breakfast elsewhere.
F.This is the best café I have ever been to. Basically lived there during my semester abroad.
The staff is incredibly friendly and creates a welcoming atmosphere. Besides that of course the coffee is great and I especially loved the food as well - does not matter if it is breakfast, lunch or just a sweet snack.
The only bad thing to mention: there is no mocha beans in austria and I really miss it!
M. M.I really enjoy going into this mocha beans. The staff are really helpful, always smiling and I even experienced a Karen trying to get the staff into trouble but the manager turned it around.
Smiling, she was asked to leave to chat away from customers and when Karen left the store she was politely asked to leave. It was impressive!
The staff work really hard to get your order just right, give them the benefit of the doubt if they make a mistake. They usually correct the mistake and end up not charging you for the item that was wrong. Give retail and hospitality staff some slack people!!!
Anyways, back to the point at hand. Mocha beans food and beverages are great. I love going there on Friday morning to watch and smell them roasting the coffee beans.

M. M.This Little restaurant has some letting rooms. I was attending the Hospital in galway and was there for 10hrs. The A& E dept was crazy. Accommodation in galway was at a premium and nothing near was available. My daughter looked on line and managed to get myself and my husband a double room. They gave a code for the main door and the bedroom. It was a spotless room with a lovely double shower with complimentary toiletries. A very comfy bed. The only down side was road noise as it was front of house. All in all a very reasonable and comfortable stay. Would return and recommend.

J. D.I remember when this place was McManus's post office. The place has changed completely. The food is simple but there is plenty of it. The choice is good but not extensive meaning that you can be sure it is done for you. The staff are very pleasant, I would guess most are students from the University across the road.
My only issue was the white chocolate cheese cake and raspberry topping... I wouldn't be writing home about it.

F. E.(Translated) The breakfast was great. You can choose from the breakfast menu or the coffee menu. The selection is very rich and the quality of the food and drinks is great! It's just a shame that you can only choose 1 dish and 1 drink when breakfast is included. For breakfast there is the daily newspaper to read for free.
Now to the accommodation: it is located above the café and is accessible via a keyless system. This means that you will receive the code for access to the front door and room door by email before arrival. That was a bit new for me and took some getting used to, but it soon turned out to be a very good idea, as you didn't have to be careful with the room key when you were out and about.
It was a shame about the whole thing, however, that there was no real check-in and therefore no direct contact person. At check-out you could have just left without paying and no one would have noticed, because you don't have to hand in a key.
The room wasn't that special. The double bed was very high and there was hair on the sheet when we arrived. There was dirt on the pillow as well (looked like a shoe print). Behind the bedside table was still rubbish from the previous guests. There is no TV in the room, which would cheer up the sadness a little. The bathroom was very spacious, bright and clean! What you shouldn't expect in this B&B is that someone comes to clean the rooms. Only the trash can is emptied and the towels are changed. The price / performance ratio is not so good, but this accommodation is one of the cheapest in Galway. The mocha beans are okay for 1-2 nights.

Das Frühstück war top. Man kann aus der Frühstückskarte bzw. der Kaffeekarte wählen. Die Auswahl ist sehr reichhaltig und die Qualität der Speisen und Getränke ist super! Schade ist nur, dass man sich bei inkludiertem Frühstück nur 1 Gericht und 1 Getränk auswählen darf. Zum Frühstück gibt es die Tageszeitung gratis zum Lesen.
Nun zu der Unterkunft: sie befindet sich über dem Café und ist über ein Keyless-System zugänglich. Das heißt, man bekommt vor Ankunft per Mail den Code für den Zugang zu Haustür und Zimmertür zugeschickt. Das war für mich etwas neuartig und gewöhnungsbedürftig, stellte sich aber bald als sehr gute Idee dar, da man unterwegs nicht auf den Zimmerschlüssel aufpassen musste.
Schade bei der ganzen Sache war aber, dass man keinen richtigen Check-in hatte und damit keine direkte Ansprechperson. Beim Check-out hätte man auch einfach ohne zu zahlen abreisen können und niemand hätte das bemerkt, aufgrund dessen, dass man keinen Schlüssel abgeben muss.
Das Zimmer war nicht so besonders. Das Doppelbett war sehr hoch und es waren bei Ankunft Haare auf dem Laken. Auf dem Kopfkissen war ebenfalls Schmutz (sah aus wie ein Schuhabdruck). Hinter dem Nachttisch lag noch Müll von den Vorgängern. Im Zimmer fehlt ein Fernseher, der die Tristesse etwas aufmuntern würde. Das Badezimmer war allerdings sehr geräumig, hell und sauber! Was man in diesem B&B aber nicht erwarten darf ist, dass jemand die Zimmer sauber machen kommt. Es wird lediglich der Mülleimer geleert und die Handtücher gewechselt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist nicht so stimmig, aber diese Unterkunft ist eine der günstigsten in Galway. Für 1-2 Nächte ist das Mocha Beans okay.
