i visited the Yellow Door today for lunch, and I will not be back. They do not really cater for vegetarians and appear to do nothing vegan. There were no vegetarian options in the specials for the day, so no soup or pasta choice. I specifically asked if there were any vegetarian specials. I had the warm wholefood salad, which was described as having a honey mustard dressing. it came without it, and when I went up to inquire, the waitresses were unaware of this. They said that they would bring some down to me, but then brought me a honey mustard mayonnaise; which is very different. There was music playing, quite loudly, despite choosing a table out of the way. This makes hearing each other more difficult. My mother enjoyed her lasagna. When we wanted to order a dessert, we asked what the cheesecake/gateaux was for today, to be told there was none. The waitress said for us to go to the deli counter and choose a dessert. There were cheesecakes and a chocolate cake. We chose an almond and raspberry square each, which was to be served warmed and with cream. It was barely warm, and had only a tiny amount of cream. On going out, we noticed that there were spicy vegetable pies and chickpea rolls.When i asked about vegetarian specials, I was not told about these. I believe the menu there was quite new, however, I feel that he staff need to be aware of what it contains and also how to put it together as described. Last but not least, I had to use the washroom. There was no soap there, and the hygiene check chart on the back of the door had not been filled in all week, and this was Friday. I feel that part of the reason I was so disappointed was because The Yellow Door has such a good reputation.

Yellow Door have provided the catering for a number of weddings with us. I cannot compliment them enough. The food they provided for each wedding was so varied, to match the preferences of the wedding couple, that you would think that it was a different caterer each time. The only thing that was consistent each time was the incredibly high quality of the food and service. We look forward to working with them many more times in the future, safe in the knowledge that all guests will leave delighted with the food experience.

Beautiful food but so over priced. Paid £2.35 for a sausage! Yes one sausage. On another occasion I got 2 scones to takeaway. Nearly choked when she asked me for £3.90. When asked about the price the lady that served me wasn't the most pleasant.

I highly recommend The Yellow Door for wedding catering in Northern Ireland. They catered our wedding at Larchfield Estate this spring. Elizabeth headed the team that helped us through the planning process and was present at the wedding itself. Staff were professional, helpful, respectful and attentive throughout. They ensured that each of our over 130 guests had the correct meal (dietary restrictions and all). All of our guests were thrilled about the quality of the food and the attentive service.

The main meals were delicious, however, we ordered coffee and tray bakes for desert. The coffee was very bland and the caramel squares were soggy. The waiter kindly replaced them but the problem persisted.

Lovely place bigger than it appears on the outside, good menu, breakfast was beautiful, well cooked lovely fresh bread, more pricey than your average cafe but I would say it was worth the bit extra, lovely cups and tea pots, everything was presented well, I would say 5 star presentation, well done
