Reviews of Cafe Spresso
Delicious, simple, reasonably priced food - fantastic breakfast/Brunch menu. The Full Irish is delicious and great coffee. I also sampled the pancakes and they were also very tasty. Relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and a friendly, efficient owner-cook looked after us. Highly recommended and will be back again 😊
What to say, this place is a one woman show, and the show is a beautiful well cooked and overwelmingly tasty food, for the right price, and if an italian say so, you must trust me. I wish i could have breakfast there every morning.
Gem in the middle of the city. Home made food for more than affordable price. For the quality of the food it's a steal! Polish, Irish, Hungarian and Italian cuisine so you can walk in with your international friends. Lovely, chatty staff and owner. The place is not big but has some limited outdoor sitting as well. For me a must visit if you are in town.
Was looking for a relaxing breakfast after a late night. Cafe Spresso did not disappoint with such friendly service and locals. Wonderful food and fresh coffee makes it the perfect breakfast, brunch, and beyond. Also have good options for vegetarians! Thank you!!
I was looking for an Irish breakfast and google pointed me to this place and I ended up adoring it. What it lacks in decor, it makes up for in delicious food for such good prices! I always get mushrooms on toast and it's so filling and it's less than 6 euro!! The chai latte is also wonderful. The man who runs it is very nice and serves food very quickly and runs it all by himself. I'd absolutely recommend this place for the great food and prices you can't beat!
Best Cafe for breakfast, food is beautiful
Very nice breakfast.
Large choice of food (Irish and Polish).
Someone told me ages ago to go here. I apologise to that someone for not going sooner. Where do I start? Tables outside so great to watch the world go by. Inside is quieter, sit under the mirror for the best street view. Irish/Polish cuisine. I went in hungry and walked out a happy man. Inside is a mix of old school European and modern. The owner could not have been nicer or more accommodating. No fuss, great food. First of all I got scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and coffee. Now there was loads but I was being an uber-glutton. Then more coffee and a croissant. As I'm heading back for croissant number two the owner suggests a change and from a fridge produces a wondrous sponge cake. He adds cream and now I'm embarrassed cos I'm like Billy Bunter now!! As with everything else the cake was superb. Saw a menu on the wall for dumpling dishes and goulash. Looked to be good value and very enticing. The coffee was excellent. Steady stream of customers. Noted one lady ordered peppermint tea and scone. I stayed ages. This is no frills, fabulous, good value dining. If you're looking for wheelchair access there is space outside and a very low step inside, good space inside for wheelchair users. If you have sight issues same goes, space inside and out. The only drawback would be access to the toilet at the back for wheelchair users, the space is too narrow. If you are using the toilet there is no light switch. Light comes on automatically when you close the door. Oh and one major thing the owner was incredibly kind to a lost soul who wandered in Hats off to him and his establishment. Definitely going back.
Small cafe in cork. We came here for pancakes and they were lovely, well presented. The man behind the counter was very kind. Felt a little bit out of place but still had a nice time.
Food is delicious, prices are fair and service great 🤩
The best way to describe this little "hole in the wall" is breakfast heaven! While you have a foodgasm with excellent prices, you will notice that only one man is the cook, server, cashier, host, and having a cigarrette break all at the same time without causing any extra wait time! Tom has it down to a science, I highly recommend the full irish here, it is a very large portion and the white pudding is excellent.
Amazing food! Highly recommended the large breakfast. Such value for money.
I had breakfast here. The food was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful
Very good food and a wide selection of things to eat. Staff very friendly!
Delicious breakfast. Affordable pricing with good portion. Newspapers are provided for reading while waiting
Excellent mom and pop shop for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert.
A very good breakfast. :) It looks a little bit simple, but meals are absolutely delicious.
Really lovely spot to grab lunch! Great staff.
Great full Irish Breakfast and very friendly staff
Great place to have breakfast and the staff is very charming. Great food
Excellent service, food and a friendly cafe
Friendly owner that seems to make everyone feel welcome as soon as they step in the door. Food was tasty with generous portion sizes and made very quickly! All at a reasonable price. Would make this a regular haunt if I lived in Cork!
Stopped here around 4:00pm for a quick coffee before heading back to Dublin. The gentleman running it was friendly and quick to serve. My cappuccino was one of the best I've had during my stay in Ireland and I'm told by my wife that her hot choclate was delicious.
Quaint, welcoming atmosphere, reasonable prices, friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
The owner is a friendly attentive individual. The food is lovely and the space is accessible for everyone. He just put in outdoor seating. So, it is accessible for everyone.
His shop is a little piece of Poland with an Irish twist. Come down and watch the Maccurtian show.

Went here on a recommendation from another list but we were not at all sorry. Old school cool café where we had had treated ourselves to the all day breakfast (after an active morning). Service was 100% and the clientele were local as could be. Very authentic and loved everything about the place. The food itself was, even for a fry up, amazing. It wasn't greasy, the eggs were perfect, the portion was great and it was hot. Swapped out teas for juices without any problems. It has to be top of my list, anywhere, for an all day brekkie.
Great little place. Great value. 8.40 full Irish. Good service.
It may not look like a lot from the outside but this place really is a hidden gem! We were on the search for the best breakfast in Cork and I think we’ve found a serious winner.
Amazing food and such friendly staff. Ideal location too, right in the city centre. I’d 100% recommend you check this place out, amazing!
Each of the 3 mornings we spent in Cork, my partner and I went here for breakfast, and on each occasion we had a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. The food was extremely nice, plentiful, and reasonably priced; the tea and coffee was suitably refreshing; and the service and atmosphere was impeccable and comfortable. My partner and I would recommend to all without hesitation.
Nice breakfast and good service.
Excellent Irish Breakfast !!! The coffee was amazing !!!
We came into Cafe Spresso on an overcast Saturday afternoon. We witnessed one man masterfully serve a dozen and a half people. He made coffee, he served delicious treats without error and with NO drop in quality. His management of the register and the kitchen was astounding! We could have been the people in here. I'd have paid to watch this master work without even the delicacy. Bravo!
Beatiful food for great prices ,staff are lovely
Friendly staff delicious irish breakfasts
Great food and coffee. And terrific service
Great value great coffee good food
Great food and very welcoming owner.
Hitting that slump on a night out around 10pm, not wanting an other drink ? Convince your friends to go grab a cup of tea and cake :)
Great food, great service.
If you have not visited Cafe Spresso yet, I would recommend to pay them a visit asap. This place truly is a little gem on busy McCurtain street. Menu selection is great and they are very happy to accommodate for dietary needs. Tasty food combined with friendly service, you won't be disappointed
The pierogi was delicious and the coffee was amazing!
I love this spot. Simple, honest and well prepared food (Irish classics and Hungarian specials) with decent prices.
The cosy atmosphere is always nice too!
Amazing hot chocolate (and coffee from what I've heard). It also offers a variety of baked goods (the coconut chocolate balls are worth a try - or five). A cozy little café with a cute atmosphere and really friendly staff.
I had bagel breakfast which included eggs, tomato, sausage, bacon and mushrooms. It was very tasty there was only one guy there doing everything so a little wait for coffee. Relaxed casual setting.
Nice and cozy place for breakfast. The owner is preparing and serving himself. It cannot house a lot of people, so you don't have to wait long for your breakfast.
One of my favorite cafés in Cork. Friendly staff and great coffee.
Great coffee, love the deserts, very warm welcome, open late.
Clean, friendly & utterly delicious. 😊
A cost place with an extensive menu, the owner makes every dish as if he makes it for himself - lovingly with great care. Would highly recommend this breakfast spot!
Had a fantastic Irish Breakfast after docking in Cobh and then getting a train to Cork.
White pudding was delicious and the whole breakfast was very tasty. Highly Recommended
Great coffee, amazing cake, a super freindly owner and a cozy group of regulars. I haven't tried the all day breakfast or the pierogi yet but they smelled amazing.
The Irish breakfast here is so good and great value. Filling and affordable. Also had their mocha, delicious!
Highly recommend the omelette. Delicious. Lovely service. Definitely be back again. Thank you

Lovely little café, in the heart of Cork. It is open late and offers lovely food. The owner is very kind and loves a nice conversation.I will definitely go again.
Amazing English breakfast and a wise variety of polish cousine. Really recommended!
Good ol' traditional full Irish and cafeteria-style breakfast with a pot of tea or coffee.

Food was quite nice, however you'll have to wait because there's only one person cooking.

A little place in Mccurtain, lovely with typical Irish food. And one of the best coffee in Cork (I am a coffee addict and I recommend it!!!). This is not a cheap place but the prices are reasonable (5/7 Euros for a meal and 2/3 for the coffee).

It's run by a Pole and he has skewers, and since he's from Silesia, he has skewers.
Superb Irish breakfast!
Everything was perfect, the service was very pleasant, the owner is very attentive and friendly. We felt like we were having breakfast at our grandmother's house. It's a small cafeteria with a lot of charm, decorated with a vintage feel. In my opinion, a must stop in town.
