Just had breakfast in cafe Velo. Fantastic service and met 3 staff, so so friendly and chatty. We ate outside because we had our dog with us. The staff made such a fuss of our dog and even gave her treats and a sausage for herself!!! Will definitely be back again and again. Sorry I didn't get any names but I'm sure you know who you are. Food was top class too.

Been here twice now, will come again. The coffee and service is great. The mini velo needs a sausage, or at least less bread and another item. The roast potatoes with the eggs Benedict were so dry I couldn't eat them. But overall a good spot.

Had breakfast here got avo toast and the wife had french toast. Highly recommended breakfast. The interior design is quite unique and reflects the character of this place. I recommend the french toast if you like the best I ever had. The menu is also unique. 👍

I went at the breakfast time at Cafe Velo, I ordered Salmon plate from their menu and Cappuccino. The Salmon is perfect and the portion is very good and suits perfectly to me. The Coffee taste is very good for me and the staff is helpful and cheerful.

I'd been enjoying Cafe Velo via deliveroo and finally got to stop by in person. Had a lovely mini velo with barrys tea and oat milk, great service! Loved the atmosphere and the indoor chairs are so comfortable!

The staff were very nice, and most of the breakfast was nice. The sausage, bacon x2 and mountain of toast was great. The black pudding was nice, a bit overcooked.The pot of tea was bigger than one could hope to drink!( a positive!) However, the scrambled egg was more of an omelette that flopped. Very solid and a bit congealed. The tomato on the menu was described as "oven roasted", but was in fact just a warm raw tomato. And for €12.50, it just seemed a bit much. From looking around at other diners, the scrambled egg is the norm. My husband's coffee was also unpleasant, with a bitter burnt taste. At no point was I asked if we were satisfied with the meal, otherwise I would have mentioned it. Altogether, it was fine. The people there seem lovely, it's a nice space and the toast is good.

Had a flat white and a chicken stuffing toasted sandwich. Friend had a cappuccino and a custard tart. All were amazing. Staff were friendly and followed COVID regulations well. Waitress asked if we'd prefer to take the coffees off of the tray or if we were okay that she do it. Thought that was a nice touch. Nicely decorated interior. Will be returning!

Previously rated Velo 5 stars however the new menu has causes me to downgrade it to 3 stars. The brunch options have been removed, you no longer can get scrambled eggs after 11:45. Chorizo hash also removed from the menu. In fact there are no lunch options left for under €12, unfortunately the reduction in menu options no longer makes Velo an attractive option for brunch in the city.

Lovely cafe. Take-out or sit-in available here. Staff are friendly and food is very good. Pricing is very good also. It is a popular place which can get busy at peak times, but that said I've never had any trouble getting a table as they have plenty of seats.

Lovely cafe that I come back to regularly. The scrambled eggs on toast is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. Can sit here for ages with the newspaper. Only negative for me was the pavlova that I had recently. Unlike most food here, this wasn’t nice at all - almost inedible! Overall, great spot though!

It was rather busy when we arrived and only 2 waitresses. So everything took very long, starting from the menus to the arrival of the food. A third waiter would have been needed. Our drinks have been forgotten so we got them after we finished the food. The food was okay, but not great. Poached eggs were completely cooked through and not runny at all.

The reason for my 3 stars review is due to the quality of the last full irish breakfast that I had there, after a few months without going to cafe Velo. On this occasion, the rashers were very dry and so was the black pudding. My wife complained about the same and her scrambled eggs were too watery.

The food was good but not excellent (I ordered poached eggs and they came with yolks that were not runny. Call me picky but poached eggs must be runny). The service was great, the place looks lovely. The music inside on a Sunday morning was so loud I couldn't speak with my boyfriend sitting across the table.

Excellent breakfast rasher sandwich on perfectly fresh white toast. Porridge came with blueberry, raspberry and honey on the side for topping. Friendly staff catered to special dairy requirements tastefully and professionally. Overall the café had a modern décor with a bicycle theme but also including low hanging statement lightbulbs and green plants. Also caters for lunch and weekend brunch.
