Amongst the best Middle Eastern food in Cork, and best wraps and kebab with the delicious lamb in all its varieties. Excellent customer service. Very personal, and the staff and owner go out of their way to ensure the best experience and maximum satisfaction. Cannot recommend enough. Sisha and coffee for after your meal too!

So nice to be out eating authentic, delicious Syrian food on the terrace at this gem of a restaurant, after 5 long months. We ordered the Syrian stew and Lamb Mansaf. Finished with a knafee that was an indulgent but fitting way to end the meal! The owner was lovely and service was unpretentious. Please go support this lovely local establishment nestled in the historic Shandon neighbourhood.

Really tasty Syrian food. The shawarma, baklava and (local Maher's) coffee is wonderful. It's lovely to have a nice cafe in this peaceful courtyard to hang out. The staff are incredibly friendly. Can't wait to try more of there food out. The current restaurant is new but kept the previous restaurants name.

Delicious food. Had the Mashawy mixed grill and Kofte Kebab with a side of Syrian bread. Everything was perfectly cooked. Will definitely have to return and try out other bits of the menu. The stews sound yummy. They also serve wine and Heineken.

I can't say enough good stuff about this place. I'm big into Arab food having lived in Dubai before and this place is the best in town imo. I brought a lebanese friend with me to check it out and she was genuinely impressed. They're not super busy yet because they're new management or have just reopened or something but I can only presune they will be soon. The food is so so good. Their falafel and baba ghanoush are perfection. Loads of vegan options, especially in the starters, but also loads of vegetarian and meat options for those who want that as well. The waiters, manager and chef are all really lovely people and the service was just really nice. Had a great conversation with the manager about learning Arabic and he's a lovely human. They're also situated right in Shandon's historic area with beautiful buildings all around and with a really gorgeous outdoor seating area in a quiet square beside firkin crane. They have shisha too. Oh and they serve gigantic amounts of food. And did I mention it was delicious? It's my new favourite place to eat in Cork. Also, FYI It's a byob situation.

We were visiting from Dublin for the bank holiday weekend. I was craving for some middle eastern cuisine and absolutely delighted that we found this gem. It might look tad bit underwhelming from outside but the food was sheer heavenly! It's incredibly authentic and reminded me of home food. Recommended to try their kabseh, syrian briyani and the knafeh for dessert is a must. The service was also great! Best restaurant in Cork so far. Highly recommended.

I was very glad to hear that this bistro was reopening under completely new management. As I live nearby, I'd always regretted there wasn't a decent restaurant here. well, now there is. I stopped by for a late lunch today, and thoroughly enjoyed my grilled sea-bass with all the mediterranean trimmings. At last, this lovely space beside Shandon Church and the old Butter Exchange has the restaurant it deserves.

Culinary Delight. So pleased to see the 4 Liars Bistro reemerge under new ownership like a phoenix out of the ashes. Our meals were authentic Syrian cuisine skillfully prepared from scratch and served with artistic flare. I had a peek in the kitchen an it was spotless. Staff was very friendly and professional. We had the falafel and kibbeh dinners, and our plates were filled with an assortment of scrumptious flavours which included hummus, baba ganoush, tabouli and salads. My taste buds are still dancing after that delicious meal. This restrurant deserved 6 stars. We'll definitely be back since the menu was filled with many more options. Word has it that the burgers are also excellent.

Wow, there's a new cafe running within the bistro called the Goldie Fish Cafe. It was open during lunch time and the staff was really sweet and helpful. And the coffee was excellent. It was a great stop after visiting the bell tower at St Anne's church and the butter museum. I highly recommend.
