A. M.We had the most delicious breakfast/brunch here, we even came back the next day before we left Donegal. We only wish we had discovered it sooner! I had the platter with avocado, poached egg and the most delicious brown bread with French toast and berries. It was absolutely delicious! The second morning I had the platter again as it was so amazing with the fresh pancakes, lovely berries and avocado with poached egg. They were out of this world! They even had chai latte which was unreal! My partner had the platter with eggs Benedict and the avocado. The second morning he had eggs with mushroom which were out of this work. If we could rate them higher we would. The staff were lovely and so accommodating. You know it’s going to be good when it’s full of the locals. Couldn’t recommend it enough, I’m even making myself hungry thinking about it 🤣

The breakfast menu was over but I really wanted the pancakes and the chef was nice enough to make them for me! They were so good.
Staff were friendly and the coffee was also good.
The interior is really nice, very comfortable and really clean.

D.Nice place to visit. Staff is very and place is Very clean. What I am missing a bit is atmosphere. Food is good. Is not amazing but there is nothing bad about it. The menu is a bit short especially if you look for a vegetarian or GF option you may consider different place. The prices are just acceptable in compare to the food quality

Food is not to-die-for but it’s good, fair portions for prices.
LUNCH: I’ve got FALAFEL SHASHUKA because that was the only one vegetarian lunch dish apart from salad.
It was delicate and well made.
Not many vegetarian options.
DESSERT: Cookie dough - absolutely delicious, sweet, warm, delicate with ice creams on the top. Worth waiting 15min, not worth paying 8€.
Clean bathroom & tables. Excellent decor, bright space.

We had a delicious breakfast; service was friendly and efficient and portions were generous and the food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Good value for money. Lovely clean (and quirky) toilets. Plenty of parking.

E. R.Friendly staff could not make up for the cold room, drafts. We dined with children who were treated very nicely and who enjoyed their food. The fish gouging were good and served as fish fingers to children. The pasta dish was ok. However the burger was destroyed by being charred too hard on the BBQ. Burning the name of the restaurant into the top of the undistinguished bap just added to the overwhelming taste of burned food.

E. W.After a long day of travel, we checked into the Gateway Lodge and just went to the restaurant next door. We were pleasantly surprised with an interesting menu, good complimentary wine (with an entrée, from the hotel), and a casual, but elegant atmosphere. We ordered two appetisers, a main course and a dessert to share. Each dish was presented beautifully and were delicious. The Pea and Watercress Soup was creamy with the surprise crunch from the iberico crumbs and the contrasting softness from the perfectly cooked egg yolk. The house cured salmon dish was made from very fresh ingredients which complimented the salmon very nicely. The John Dory dish came with broccoli that was a tad overcooked, but the fish itself was moist on the inside and tasty with the garlicky sauce and fresh squid ink pappardelle. The we finished off the meal with a delicious banana sticky toffee pudding. The service was good overall, but they were a bit slow at the end in bringing the bill and processing our payment. Overall, a wonderful experience that we would recommend to anyone in Donegal Town.
S. C.We arrived and we're looking forward to eating a good standard of food. Well what we served was truely amazining. We only ordered a starter and main meal but we were given "tasters" which I had never experienced before. I would class myself as an experienced diner and I have eaten in some very good restaurants. Every single item that was served to us by two very polite and knowledgable staff, was simply perfect. Each dish was presented like a picture and it was very clear that a lot of thought had been put into its creation. Colours, flavours, textures and smells all came together perfectly.
Only newly opened with a menus that is still being developed, our experience was Devine. If you haven't eaten here yet then I suggest you do so as quickly as possible because I am sure that to get a seat here in the near future, you will have to book weeks in advance.
The chef took time to come and speak to us and explained his plans and what he wanted to achieve. To all you experts and foodies, I urge you to go and experience the delights Blas has to offer. Even though we live over 90 miles away we WILL return and again indulge.
To Rory and his team I wish you the very best of luck and I am honoured to have been there at the beginning.
