Great for plant-based peeps! (4/5 Green Stars) Have been going to Bare Food for a few years now and by brother is a regular there. If you need convincing of the bare food ethos (explained on their website) then just try their scone. It’s vegan and made with dried fruit and nuts to replace the refined sugar that you’ll normally encounter. It’s definitely more nutritious than a regular scone and also won’t result in a sugar crash. Anyway, the food and coffee at Bare Food don’t disappoint and staff members are always friendly. Café seating, both inside and in the laneway, is comfy. A good place to spend some time. I’m giving Bare Food 4/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact for the following reasons: • Lots of vegan and vegetarian options (veggie sausage, tofu can sub for chicken in most dishes, vegan pastries, vegan butter). Eating a mostly plant-based diet is the #1 thing you can do to save the planet. • Tea is from Tea Pigs (a B-Corporation, plant-based packaging, member of ethical tea partnership) and coffee is from 8th Corner (sometimes organic) • Kombucha from SynerChi, made from organic tea in Donegal. Smoothies are made fresh, to order. • Compostable cups, but I do wish they could provide ceramic and glass for customers who sit out in the lane (A strange rule for Covid, I guess, even though it’s not spread by touch). • Would like to see organic food, or some info about sourcing on the menu.

This place is fab - cosy atmosphere, amazing food and friendly staff. I never feel guilty eating here as the food is tailored towards the healthy side of breakfast and lunch - it's clearly all very fresh ingredients. My go to brunch spot!

I try to eat here once a week as for someone who trains a lot, the Bare Food Company is the best place to eat out in Drogheda. Almost all options are guilt free and you know exactly what goes into every dish on the menu. The staff are also extremely accomodating to any other dietary requests. In saying that, they're also super friendly, hospitable, and the actual café itself is beautiful.

Ended up in this place as we were passing through Drogheda and looking for a place to have a late lunch. The food was plain but tasty - the kind of stuff I would cook at home. Nothing special but nice. The restaurant itself was pleasant and so was the service.

As someone with Crohn's Disease, I've developed intolerances when I eat dairy, gluten, and sometimes soy. When I eat here, the staff are always very knowledgeable, kind, and happy to serve someone with such special dietary needs. On top of all that, I've always been incredibly happy with every dish I've ordered here! The prices are fair and the food is always so flavourful.

Really nice and cosy place, situated in the small alley away from crowded main street, nice coffee for a decent price and nice stuff. They serve nice food there and they have a loads of vegetarian and vegan food witch makes it special. They have few tables in the alley so it is suitable for smokers as well.

We were visiting Ireland and thought this was a nice place to stop at. I'm not learned enough to be able to say it was authentic Irish, but it had foods that were different and delicious. It is also great to know that they are more conscious of choosing more ethical ingredients.

Really impressed with Bare. Dropped in for brunch with a friend. Good location in Drogheda and lovely place to sit inside, really comfy couches. Had an excellent eggs benedict with smoked salmon and an orange juice. My friend had a burger with sweet potato fries. Portion size was good and price was reasonable. Will definitely be back!

The Bare Food Company is located in Drogheda just off West street ,hidden from busy street into quiet alley. Place is quite small , but neat with friendly staff and good atmosphere. Restaurant offers alternative for traditional cooking, offering fresh own made raw , vegan food (not only vegan so you can bring friends along :)). There is selection fresh made veg-fruit drinks and home made cakes, so if you fancy for a meal and deser here is place to go. Good to have alternative to steaks and potatos or greasy fish and chips. I rate at five stars because we really need more that kind of places.

I probably had the nicest turkey burger in my life here... it's gotta be tried to be believed, it's juicy solid not made from rag tag ingredients just pure turkey breast. It's called the Justin Callaghan turkey burger.

Absolutely delicious fresh food cooked to perfection. Live in Ratoath, Co. Meath and we were only passing through Drogheda due my son's rugby match there. Stopped in for some breakfast/brunch on way home. Delighted we did. Food amazing. Even the apple juice was freshly squeezed. We will definitely be back. True value for money which is rare nowadays. Trust me, this is no greasy spoon!
