Reviews of Carluccio's

Fabulous restaurant serving beautiful fresh Italian style food. Excellent staff who are very friendly and attentive. Food amazing as always, a few pics below of our food choices. We booked an inside table online. Our vaccine certificates were checked and were told the indoor dining procedures in place whilst in the restaurant. Great peace of mind knowing the staff are fully aware of the importance of asking for the cert and checking it too! Well done to all at Carluccio's Dublin.

It was my second time at Carluccios. I really like their food, hospitality and the ambience. For indoor seating, they just asked for the covid certificate and we got the table. A little expensive compared to other such joints but was worth it !
W. L.
Came here for brunch and unfortunately the service was very lacking that day. However the service was super apologetic and friendly and the food was really good so I definitely would give it a shot again!

5 star service 5 star food.
Incredible evening here with my Mrs. The staff were Incredible the food was as Incredible. There isn't more to say only well worth a visit 😊 we will be back
K.
Fair priced pasta and they make a strong peach bellini. Their spinich vegetarian pasta is tasty although too oily. Tiramisu is fantastic.
P.
A perfect afternoon...a good fair priced plate of food with a pint of cool beer sitting outside on a great street watching the world go buy. A real highlight of my weekend.
C. M.
Staff was very attentive and helpful. Nice place to eat with a lot of outside seating. Good food.
J. P.
Good service and nice food. Selection of vegan and vegetarian options. 😋😋😋
J.
Love this place. Both indoor and outdoor seating is very decent, especially when the suns out. Food has never let me down, always 10/10 authentic Italian cuisine. The staff have always been very good and the building itself is very nice. Easy to reach by public transport and right in the heart of the city :)

I was a little bit disappointed with the quality of the food. We had sirloin steaks which were not very tender or flavoursome. Also had seabass and the accompanying 'roast tomatoes' were straight from the fridge. The staff were very pleasant and attentive but couldn't really recommend the food.

Had family lunch for 6 in Carluccio's today. Really fantastic menu but especially great as hubby is vegan. Amazing choice and taste. Really nicely presented. Very efficient service even for a busy day in town with the All Ireland final. Would highly recommended going there
S. M.
Good food, but a bit pricey and the menu isn't very big so maybe check in advance if they have what you and your family like.
J. R.
The food was divine, and the customer service was top notch, Javi looked after us and was very respectful and courteous, the ambience was incredible, overall the only thing that let us down was the size of our stomachs! I would've gladly returned anyway, however with a 20% discount for January if you keep your receipt? I will 1000% be back
L.
Pretty good food - lasagne, carbonara, and penne were all nice. Bruschetta was very fresh and tasty. Bocconcini was tasty but small; focaccia was also tasty but had a very different texture than usual.
Service felt a bit pressured / rushed. The menu was also not consistent in labeling things as vegetarian (and wait staff was also unsure or confused). I think especially with cheeses (eg one mozzarella marked as V and another not), it would be nice to be consistent across the menu.
Overall a fine establishment but there are much better Italian restaurants in Dublin.
B. B.
Wonderful eggs benedict /eggs royal/pancakes and eggs florentine maybe even superb. Lovely staff. Perfect after Christmas breakfast .and Very reasonable . 20% off in January 2022? .

This is our regular haunt whenever we are planning a night out in Dublin. The authentic Italian food never fails to impress.....on our recent trip here I discovered that they now serve Guinness. It now ticks all the boxes.
F.
The food was nice. Not amazing, but nice. Not too mad about the roadside tables... they are literally on the footpath. But government guidelines, etc etc... COVID! The gift that no one wanted...
The staff are really lovely. The waitress was amazing. Really lovely lady. The 5 stars are for her. And my perfectly cooked seabass!
D. M.
Had a lovely lunch in Carluccio's. Food was delicious and the staff were friendly and professional. Our server was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
A. N.
I genuinely love eating here.
Easily my favourite Italian spot in Dublin.
The food is excellent (spoiled for choice!) while the staff and management are on the ball, super personable and have always made me and my friends feel welcome.
On my last visit, I dropped in with an old buddy for his birthday, it’s become somewhat of a tradition to meet him here. We’d a great time.
Having said that, I can definitely recommend Carluccios for couples, groups and family. Highly recommend!
(Thanks again for the great service, guys!)
A. K.
We visited Carluccios for our anniversary lunch and had reservation for a table. They accommodated us even though we missed our time slot. Loved the food here and specifically loved their tiramisu. The croquettes are also worth a try.
K.
A nice place with polite and friendly staff. The food was good, though it didn't meet what I'd heard about the place. The mushroom risotto was slightly oily and hard to finish, the side of foccacia bread was also okay but once more, nothing special. When we went the place seemed to be in short supply of food, with the tiramisu and lemon meringue dessert both finished up. I don't know if this is a fair reflection of the restaurant on a regular basis though. We were also seated alongside the road and in front of the side door, which at one point was opened and banged into my friend's chair as staff were trying to get outside to throw stuff out. The place closed quite early, at around 9 or so, though we did arrive at a later time to eat. Regardless, we had a good night, not sure if I'd come back in a hurry as there are plenty of other great Italian restaurants around.
E. D.
Good Italian food. You don't necessarily need a reservation, they will try to accommodate you. Very suitable for two people dinner with a choice of low and high tables. There is a shop downstairs if you want to bring some Italian delicacies home. Average to high price of a la carte meals but good choice on a set menu if you want to go cheaper.
D. Q. B.
Been here invited for dinner first time very busy place for Saturday. Staff was very nice been waiting for a few minutes to get a table. Even was very busy we were served quick under 10 minutes. Coffee good. Food very nice taste and flavour not too heavy well done. Tiramisu was not my taste too much cream on it. The ice cream was delicious risotto and pasta water and salad☕😍#nicefooddublin#dublineats#dinnerindublin#excelentfood#healthy

We loved it! We came with our 2 kids, one needed gluten free menu and they had everything we wanted and food was great! Chicken risotto and pasta carbonara 👌
G. L.
The location is great, the place was clean and the staff were so helpful, attentive and kind.
I had eggs Florentine for brunch and were really good. Good quality, great taste, perfectly cooked. I’d highly recommend it.
A. O.
Absolutely delicious meal and excellent service to match. Highly recommend a visit 👌🏻
N. D.
Wonderful place!! Staff are fab and food is delicious. Well worth a visit 🌟
S. B.
Lovely food and service. Really accommodating staff. While the taste was great... i thought the portion size of the cod was small. At least they include Mussels.
L. M. P.
Nice outdoor experience, especially that it was impossible to find a place to eat without booking. The heaters kept us warm and street was quiet. Carbonara was nice, wine also good and exceptionally lovely staff ❤️
R. C.
Visited carluccios for first time to celebrate birthday. Food was delicious and staff were so nice. Will definitely return.thanks Richard
V. S.
Fantastic restaurant with gluten-free options in Dublin! I went there for breakfast which was delicious and also for dinner.
Both times the service and the food was excellent. Specially the gluten-free dishes where amazing.
C. L.
Fabulous staff, quick service and great food!!! Best lemon meringue pie I have had in ages!!!! Amazing Italian
S. R.
Carluccio’s definitely feels like an authentic Italian restaurant! Went here for my birthday lunch last Saturday and was blown away! The staff are so friendly and the food is delicious!! I got the seafood linguine and it was superb! The portion size is very good and the amount of seafood you get is very generous as in some restaurants you barely get any seafood!! My dad got the salami/meat board and was stuffed!! We also got olives to start which they were very tasty but the portion size seemed a bit small. Overall really good place to eat if you’re around the area!!
D. K.
Friendly staff and really nice food. Menu options were very good including vegan options.
A. R.
Nice and tasty Italian restaurant. The food was good and the quantity/quality according to the price. The staff was nice, although it took them a bit long to attend us. The pasta was well cooked.
L. W.
Starter portion was very small, ie 1 slice of bruscetta for €7.50.
Other than that food was tasty and staff were friendly
L. D.
Amaizing waitress, a funny kind man , I was there with my boyfriend and we come back soon ...
M. S.
Excellent food and service. I have been here multiple times and it is consistent in its delivery of tasty food and efficient service. Their brunch is delicious, and the mini hot chocolate drink is to die for!
L. G.
Authentic Italian food. The spinach and ricotta ravioli with sage butter was incredible.
M. k.
Love breakfast in this place. Very friendly atmosphere and tasty nibbles
M.
Amazing breakfast spot!! Comfortable sit, really good food & friendly staff
L. Y.
The first time that I visited I bought the Chocolate Panetonne, and since then I buy it every year (the best that I've ever tried) today I went for dinner with some friends and it was delicious, the waiter was really friendly and I loved the atmosphere. They have vegan options as well and if you just want a coffee the milk selection is great ;)
E. R.
It's a cozy and lovely place where you can enjoy with friends. Friendly people. Highly recommended
E. N.
Tasty italian foods and nice drinks. But the service needs an improvement. Plus staff members couldve been more polite. Me and my friend waited around 20 mins to get the bill.
j. b.
Great food, lovely staff. Ive been a fan if this Dublin gem for years and I was so excited to visit again. The standard of food was excellent as always - their pate is a particular favourite of mine. Aperitifs were fresh and bubbly. Our waiter was very friendly and seemed to be really enjoying the buzz of a busy restaurant. Looking forward to eating here again very soon.
T. H.
Nice atmosphere with an excellent service. We went there after the lockdown and enjoyed it very much. We loved the lasagna, slow cooked beef pappardelle and tiramisu. Calamadi was ok. Than you for a great service!
M. P.
Nice Italian restaurant in the city Center of Dublin. Service could be a bit more friendly. Bit the food is nice and the lasagne is real authentic Italian style and taste
P. G.
It was a lovely restaurant, friendly staff & gorgeous food. Very accommodating to our needs.
L. T.
Nice place for dining. Good variety in the menu. They have a lot of staff so you won't be waiting forever
A. H.
Lovely lunch today. Great atmosphere as it was Blooms Day but the highlight was the Lovely friendly staff and delicious food! Will return and recommend Carluccio's
J. G.
Enjoyable place. Has additional seating upstairs. Tiramisu is delightful. Wifi available. Go to the Duke next door for a Guinness afterwards.
R. M.
Amazing experience, food, and attendance! Christmas panetone dessert is the best!
J. F.
Amazingly friendly staff, not very busy. Very quiet place and perfect for a dinner for 2.
Great food. Pictured is a Lasagna with Peroni Gran Riserva.
A. F.
Very good and tasty food at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend it
e. c.
Central location, service was good.
The food was better than the average.
Large choice for vegetarians, I liked their soup and the special veggie milanese steak.
C. S.
Lovely food and staff. Very organised for covid procedures, felt safe
E. G.
Great food and fast service.
T. A. H.
Taste food, for a fair price and the best waiters in Dublin. Will be back always
C. M.
Excellent food and service, very polite and helpful man called Niall was a pleasure to meet
A. D.
Oh my God. The panettone French toast they have is a must try. Staff were really friendly and place is cozy and cute. I'm definitely coming back. They have a good offer in the morning for a pastry and coffee as well.
d. r.
Excellent coffee very friendly staff and lovely food served on carluccios
D.
Amazing food, nice place and very good service.
J. G.
...super swift staff and service, no messing about here, brilliant authentic Italian food, if I had to choose a last meal (heaven forbid), the lasagne here would be right up there... awesome...
m. b.
Nice and cosy place but there is no excuse to get this kind of flat white.
This actually is my first review as I don't make them( I'm working 19 years in this industry) but there is improvement to be done to keep the standard. All the best!
S. C.
Super friendly staff, tasty food.
R. M.
Very nice food but slow service.
D. M.
Fabulous food and really nice and attentive staff. Will definitely be back!
J. G.
Staff beyond belief. Food was fab and very good value.
V. G.
We had an excellent meal. Four different choices and each of them delicious. The experience was greatly enhanced by our waitress Elena. She was informative about the menu and friendly without being obtrusive - an important quality in a waitress. We will definitely be back.
A. M.
Very good food. Portions could be slightly bigger.
S. W.
Stopped by for dinner on what was a busy night in the city. The service was really good, food was delicious, and I enjoyed the sparkling rosé.
My friend had the lamb and I did the seafood linguine. There were a lot of options to choose from and special menus for Valentine’s Day. I liked that the atmosphere was cozy too (I though it was cute pastry shop before noticing the full restaurant in the back). Will be back!
R. M.
Carluccio's is always a nice place to dine. The waiting staff is very and attentive. Service was fast, and the food was delicious. You can dine inside, or out. I decided to dine outside because it was a beautiful day. The food was a delicious as always. I'm not giving it a 5 star rating because the portion size had gotten smaller from the previous year in which I would dine there weekly. My overall experience was s super.
M. B.
Very clean fresh lively place to sit and soak the atmosphere in. The food is just gorgeous and the staff are so nice and helpful. Definitely go back there again.
S. M.
Four of us went for an early dinner. Even though place was full and we had no reservation we were seated promptly. Service was very friendly and efficient. All appetizers and entrees were delicious. Desserts were even better. No white table cloths here, focus is on authentic Italian food. Will be back again, loved this place.
m. k.
I have been here twice. The staff is humble and good. They mistook my friend's order and served a meat dish to a vegetarian, but they really took entire responsibility of the incident and reciprocated in the most hospitable way. Good selection of beers, wines and cocktails!
E. R.
The staff are lovely. I had the tuna and mozzarella salad, it was nice but needed more flavor
l. h.
Great food,lovely friendly service
G. F.
Wonderful coffee wonderful staff wonderful location all over all fantastic
J. W.
Loved the gluten free menu options here! Super friendly staff and great coffee!
M. T.
Love Carluccios! Very nice authentic Italian food and always great service.
M.
They can make sepreat check ..they will make one bill for all which embarssing
N. P.
Great egg options for a lazy brunch. Always so tasty. However the service can sometimes be a bit hit and miss, not with wrong orders but just leaving you sat there for ages waiting to order or forgetting you asked for your bill.
C. C.
Nice atmosphere and a really good lunch. The soup was excellent, the sharing platter was generous and top quality. The service was friendly and prompt. This restaurant is my favourite of this type of Italian in Dublin City Centre.
L. C.
Enjoyed a lovely evening here with my husband and mother in law. We each ordered a starter and main, and all dishes were delicious.
I had the burrata for starters which was one of the best I've eaten.
We were very impressed with the menu which included a lot of new dishes.
Will definitely go back for more.
D. I.
Although there was a queue for a table, we didn't have to wait very long. The restaurant itself has a great vibe and is a cool place for a date or for a group of friends. The staff were very friendly and we were seen to very quickly. My food was brought out fairly fast also. I ordered a tomato sausage pasta. It was quite nice and although a little on the pricey side, I think I'll go back because my overall experience was positive.
N. L.
I've had many carbonara's but this one is the winner! Gorgeous food at reasonable prices, a must visit
J. V.
I work in a very busy clinic and I am always booked up but when I have time I use carluccios as my sanctuary to get way from the craziness.
Staff are always so friendly and the food is very good.
Recently had breakfast here very early and was lovely and relaxing
K. O.
Great place for a delish breakfast!
f. s.
Great energy and decor in this place. I go there for coffee and a croissant every now and again. It's very cheap compared to a Starbucks and it's a much better location. By far the staff here stand out. All of them are enthusiastic and energetic to serve customers. No wonder this place has customers returning.
N. S.
It's an okay Italian restaurant. Went on Thursday evening and it was easy to get a table. The food was not seasoned well but had good chunks of meat. We ordered seafood linguine and the crab lobster fettuce which could've done with more seafood flavour. For desserts we went with Chocolate and bread pudding, flourless chocolate cake and passion fruit meringue. The pudding was the best of the three and the meringue was the least favourite because it was extremely sour.
C. D.
Very professional and quick service, staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great (I recommend the spinach risotto if you're here!) and worth what you pay for it. If I had a criticism it would be that the menu is a bit more limited compared to what I'd expect from an Italian restaurant, and a broader range of options might improve the experience. Overall a very nice place to eat though.
D. B.
Great service. Checked covid Certs and photo
R. D. L.
I went to Carluccio's to meet up some friends over tea/coffee. The coffee was good but the service wasn't great. We wanted to order croissants too. Unfortunately they didn't have any type of pastries (which we understood being the 26th of December) but we were rushed to leave the table because we hadn't ordered any food. I am not sure I will go back.
G. S. N.
One of the nicest places for a cuppa coffee and dessert... the ambience is perfectly romantic. the menu is great.. taste is great. Would definitely recommend... although one less star due to the staff... but other than that everything is good.
C. F.
Lovely lunch, super tasty and friendly staff.
R. K.
Jorge looked after us really well this morning and the food was divine!!
T. H.
I cannot express my joy for this restaurant enough, in particular, the garlic foccacia. I have not been able to stop thinking about that garlic bread in the week since Ive been, it is so delicious. The vegetarian mains are also really good aswell. Huge range of drinks choices, and both food and drink is really reasonably priced. Location is great, service is excellent. I cannot wait to return and pig out on that garlic bread.
T. E.
Fab food, friendly staff, highly recommend it!
K. T.
Original restaurant with beautiful decoration, it has also a store with Italian food and books (3 stars average standard food quality because is "expensive" for what you really get) It is a good spot for having a fancy breakfast / lunch / dinner / but that's all... I am not fully satisfied because despite its professional service and upscale environment, it needs to improve the customer experience. Now, I will mention what I did not like. Waiters speaking its native language (It could be Portuguese/Spanish instead of Italian / English). I am a bit disappointed because I found too many staff for what's going on inside in peak time. This business can be managed with less people. I worked as a Restaurant Manager in the past for many years and I just can say that I would like this place could become one of my favourite in Dublin. However, I had not the feeling to even take pictures of the food served or do a research "who's Carluccios" This review is written from my purest best intention to the business improvement. Cheers
B. D.
Carbonara and lemon tart are to die for! Service and atmosphere is great.
I. S. V.
The food was decent, but not spectacular. Nice salad for starter but the chicken milanese was boring, a bit better when I added some mustard. However I waited 5 minutes for it. That was the other problem, services was very slow, the waiters tried to be attentive but through bad planning or understaffing they didn't deliver. And the place wasn't half full. The olive oil was good though, I might pop back to buy one or two bottles from their selection.
H. D.
Very attentive and knowledgeable staff, good facilities, eclectic Italian menu but few of the staples so the three in our group could try dishes that were previously unknown to them. A great experience all round. Good value too
J. M.
Nice staff. Food is great. Reasonable value. Can be very busy though. In my case we were 30 minutes waiting even though we had booked for a set time. It was Christmas week however so probably their busiest time
D. C.
Food was good but they were extremely understaffed for lunch. Pasta arrived before our bread basket and our sides arrived 10 minutes after that. We had to ask three times before receiving the portion of balsamic vinegar we had ordered. Waitress was very friendly despite this, she just needed more help.
M. S.
Love the Coffee with ice-cream from here!!
o. 1.
Always great food and great waiting staff, I really enjoyed my dinner there. Though it was busy, I never felt that I was being over looked. With every query or need met with a smiling face, I felt pampered and I can't wait for my next meal there.
N. M.
Beautiful food and good wine. A great spot for a bite of lunch.
E. P.
I am yet to eat in this delicious smelling Italian dream but love to peruse the shelves, looking at their excellent range of olives, meats, breads and cakes. Last night I purchased a last minute gift there of a box of chocolates, and, feeling a little guilt, I asked if it could be gift wrapped. When the woman said yes, I watched as she perfectly, patiently and with care, wrapped this box in clean white paper and a red ribbon. She was so patient and asked nothing in return. I wanted to tip but had no money on me. Thank you for adding the final touches to a lovely present!
m. m.
We were here for a 21st celebration last Saturday, and the staff were very pleasant. The food was really tasty, and good value. They let us bring in our own cake, and made a nice fuss of the birthday girl. I can't wait to dine here again.
M. H.
I was looking for somewhere to eat on a Saturday night and ended up booking a table at Carluccio's not knowing much about the place.
I have to say I was extremely pleased with our experience there. The food was fantastic. We had the big sharing platter between the 2 of us to start which was packed full of great tastes - my wife commented that it was almost too much!
Mains were just as good and the wine list seemed well stocked too! Tiramasu for dessert topped it off and the service we were treated to was top notch as well.
Very pleased, will definitely be going back and the price while high, was reasonable for what you got and how you were served!
C. F.
Great Restaurant! Great Food! Friendly and efficient Service! We ate here for the first time last night and came back again tonight!
I’m definitely coming back here next time I’m home in Dublin! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
E. O.
Nice staff and lovely food, more Italian style. The scrambled eggs are lovely and staff is really nice. It was nice and quit when I was there, so enough time to read a little bit during breakfast! :) lovely start of the morning!
S. B.
This place is always a sure thing when searching for a delish but quick lunch. I had one of the specials, peach and prosciutto salad. It was so fresh, the best mozzarella and prosciutto, washed down with a peach Bellini. Yum! Go here.
A. D.
Great food, great service
P.
Carluccio's is a great spot for breakfast and brunch. The staff are beyond helpful, very friendly, and the food is top notch. I've never had a disappointing experience here. Reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food.
Recently renovated, and situated close to Dawson Luas stop, this is the perfect pre-shopping pit stop within striking distance of Grafton Street and Stephen's Green.
L. S.
This is a lovely restaurant. Definitely worth the visit.
A. D.
Tasty, inexpensive food, they also have a good kids menu and lovely staff. The service is consistently really slow which would be fine if we weren't going with kids who can only contain themselves for so long in a restaurant.
J. L.
Their food are great but a bit pricey, I'll recommend more the desserts!
C. K.
Fantastic food, fantastic staff and what a location. Everything about Carluccio's is amazing. Highly recommend eating out here.
N. A.
Visited Carluccio's twice as they had a gluten free menu. I was left less than impressed both times that I visited.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and the staff were attentive.
C. M.
By the standards of central Dublin this is not an expensive restaurant. It has a comprehensive menu, a good atmosphere and really attentive and pleasant staff. Food isn't fantastic but it more than acceptable and I often have lunch there when in Dublin.
K. T.
2 of our party had the Carbonara, which arrived in reasonable time but was only just warm - not hot - and was quite dry. Staff were authentically Italian (or at least pulled off a convincing impression) and attentive, but the place lacked atmosphere.
S. P.
O Good. In the early morning get a delicious and hot pasta. That's I'm really not expecting. And more than one type of pasta and bread. Yummy. 😋😋😋 Definitely recommended if you looking something different - not traditional Irish breakfast. 😎
a. g.
Used to be great place for food and price wasn't too bad. They do nice Chicken focaccia sandwiches and pastas, however recently focaccia slices have shrunk by 30% :( Hmm if restaurants are going to take grocery stores approach - same price less weight, their days will be counted. Period
C. R.
Food: amazing focaccia, very nice carbonara. Lasagne is passable.
Price: reasonably priced.
Other: service is always very slow.
6/10 Recommend.
J. M.
Great spot great value for great food...
M. B.
A lively, cheerful city centre restaurant with obliging, friendly waiting staff. The couple of large tiled steps at the entrance make it a little awkward to access if you have mobility issues, and the food on offer can be inconsistent on occasion - I've had some really excellent meals here, and one or two that were indifferently cooked. Overall, a fun place to eat, and very conveniently situated, between Grafton Street and the Nassau Street entrance to Trinity College.
W. S. M.
Absolutely loved it! The food was well presented and delicious, and the staff was best in class! They went way beyond our expectations for the birthday night we had planned. Will be back there for sure, I highly recommend it if you want to have a great night!
t. c.
The breakfast is magnificent. Normally not a major mushroom fan, but... wow. Excellent staff, service and prices. Professional. Good range of cakes and snack options for coffe also. Can get busy at lunchtimes, toilets upstairs. Handy is you are visting any of the nearby bookshops
D. M.
Excellent food served by efficient friendly staff. Overall would highly recommend. Will be back.
C. G.
This is very nice Italian restaurant, the service is just perfect! They really took care of my food allergies in the best possible way, I definitely recommend it
N. M.
Excellent food and service. They didn't have one of the dishes ordered so they gave us complimentary selection of olives and bread and another meal which is usually more expensive, but we got it for the price of the ordered one.
S. P.
Always one of my favourite Italian restaurants in Dublin. My friends organised my 40th birthday surprise party here and the staff played along to make me believe it was only a booking for 2 people 🤣🤗🤭
The waiters are very nice a d helpful.
At the entrance they have a shop selling Italian products, some are seasonal like pandori and panettoni at Christmas. When the weather is good, the sun shines on the tables outside from about 5.45pm-6pm to about 7pm-7.30pm depending on the table (make a note of these times).
Please note they don't have pizza on the menu.
Try Aperol Spritz, risotto and Chicken milanese.
L. F.
We’ve been to Carluccios twice in Dublin and once in London and what a dining experience! The food is delicious and there is a varied menu and vegetarian options that are to die for. The cocktails and desserts are absolutely fabulous. The staff are so friendly and the atmosphere (music, decor, lighting, noise levels etc) is perfect! Thank you staff at Carluccios, we’ll be back soon! Very deserved 5 stars
M. M.
Relaxed atmosphere, tasty food, staff were wonderful. Happily accommodated a large group during a busy Christmas period (thoughbooking was essential) - we were not rushed out in any way at all. Would definitely go back.
M.
I only know that I get a quickly made rich roast cafe latte + a heated up panino for around 8 euro. And it hits the spot. I always get this to go. Service is fast. Exactly what is needed before an appointment, class, or to have as a picnic lunch in St. Stephen's. The selection of Italian foods in the shoppe is quite good; some high end and authentic products. Never tried lunch or dinner so cannot comment.
M. L.
Okay for a coffee in the morning, otherwise just very busy. And don't make the mistake of going for a choice around lunchtime as the smell of mediocre lunch food was very off- putting. If you can get a seat downstairs maybe better.
A. K.
One of the best place for breakfast. I just love their French toast. Taste yummy 😋, always wait for either of the weekend to be here.
A.
Sitting outside in this place enjoying food and wine during irish heatwave really brought us all the way to Italy. We were there twice in a space of a week, both time happy with food however had to wait a good while to be served.
T. C. N.
I wasn't the biggest fan of Carluccio's but visited with my mum and was very impressed by their attention to detail and friendly service. Food was very tasty as well, with a great selection available. Not sure why I avoided the place for so long. Wouldn't hesitate returning.
M. F.
The menus are different, we couldn't find what we expected in an Italian restaurants. We came for a breakfast but there were not lots of options available. It was OK. But we usually come to the good breads, desserts and cheeses to take out.
M. M.
LOADS OF GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS!
Food was really tasty, staff were great and price point was as you'd expect, not too expensive. I enjoyed it and would recommend, especially for coeliacs looking Italian! 😁
N. P.
The bread on the menu is not the same that was served.
Food good but not so good service, good number of floor staff but long time waiting for the menu, orders... I thought it would be better, not sure if I back
m. d.
Great food and service.
A. M.
Consistently good food and great service. Wide menu (food & drinks), conveniently situated, good seating and a purist food grocer to boot, this has to be one of Italian Dublin's favourite sons.
F. D.
Gorgeous coffee, full menu also available. Staff are so nice and helpful. Had breakfast with two children and food and service second to none. Highly recommend
L. W.
Lovely fresh pasta in city centre restaurant off Grafton Streetwith lots of seating upstairs and outdoor seating for good weather. Soups good value at lunch. Friendly staff.
P. C.
Service was good. Dessert was fantastic but the rest of the food was rather bland.
R. B. O.
A nice place to go for a good meal out. The menus are very nice and the food tastes well. Unfortunately the digestion didn't go very well, so maybe there was some ingredient in the food that wasn't great!
T. R.
Love the fact I can get gluten free pasta out and about. The food in carluccio's is consistent no matter where you are (eg. I ate in the Dubai branch and it was just as good as here, though they have better views in Dubai). There's a decent menu choice and the staff are usually very helpful.
K. F.
Food was so yummy!! Great price too.
D. B.
Great tasting food at great value
M. J.
Extremely slow service, overpriced, coffee is not great (but then again, Dublin is a terrible place for coffee). This review is about coffee and cakes only, I haven’t tried their mains (my boyfriend says they were decent).
A. M.
Great food, celeriac and chestnut soup was excellent, followed by seafood lasagne. Busy around lunchtime but they managed to get us a table. Fast and friendly service.
L. C.
Great coffee and cakes. Service with a big smile :-)
J. R.
Carluccio's is a great spot to grab a nice breakfast or late afternoon meal. The decor is clean and fresh and the prices are very reasonable. Would recommend to anyone looking for some authentic Italian cuisine.
U. O.
Jamie Oliver began his professional career in a restaurant owned by Antonio Carluccio and it's clear to see from the food they serve that standards have remained high.
While the restaurant itself is a little cramped when full (a testament to trying to fit it's many regular customers in), the food on offer is delicious and nicely priced especially when compared to it's equally illustrious neighbour, Marco Pierre White's restaurant.
The staff are friendly and attentive, even during the most chaotic of times, and as mentioned the food is affordable and delicious. Outside of Florence, it's the only place I've found that serves a (practically) traditional Bistecca alla Fiorentina not to mention incredible Eggs Benedict.
Definitely worth a visit .
C. M.
Pastries and coffee were nice. Like the location in D2. Very odd behaviour by waiting staff, 2 of the guys were acting as if they were on a night out. Dancing about the place causing general havoc and dropping dishes! Seemed as if no one was in charge at all! Slow to go back there...
F. S.
Friendly, attentive staff and great food!
M. H.
Good Italian food adapted to Irish taste. Excellent staff. The Dawson Street restaurant has a great location and ambience.
S. F.
The take away pasta at lunch time is reasonably good so I decided to go and sit at the restaurant at lunch. It was very disappointing: first of all, it is not authentic Italian cousine, in second place the quality of food and ingrediants is not of a high level. I won't go back to the restaurant, I will probably have the take away pasta once more.
L. S.
Nice premise, just in the city Centre. Good Italian products. Only problem, staff is not Italian, therefore they cannot actually prepare a proper slice of focaccia with parma ham unless you give them instructions
K. V.
Simple food well made.
P. C.
Good atmosphere, tasty food with a menu which changes to reflect the seasons. Friendly staff. One of our favourites in Dublin for food and value.
C. P.
On the advice of LovinDublin, I tried this italien restaurant during the lunch time. For only 6,95€, you can chose a mix between pasta and risotto. Good quantity and quality for value!
I would recommend to put less cream on the risotto otherwise it was delicious.
J. L.
High quality food if you are willing to pay for it. Very professional, attentive staff. They have cheaper options for lunch take-out too
M. M. W.
Had breakfast there. Both the Eggs Benedict and the Eggs Florentine were great and the latte was just about perfect. Will definitely be back for dinner soon.
Update: Dinner is very good as well.
S. C.
Always a pleasure to eat here .
J. M.
Excellent service with really nice staff and good food. The only downside for us is that because we arrived late with no reservation on a busy night we ended up with a table that suffered from a draft.
J.
Had the chance to enjoy a dinner with work friends there and I'd say overall it was really pleasant. Staff was nice, food was good and prices were fair.
D. D.
Went here for brunch one day and let me tell you something. Order the dish twice because the meal barely hit the spot. Coffee is good though.
C. C.
Absolutely love this restaurant, staff always so friendly and efficient. The food is exceptional and so well presented, would highly recommend.
A. G. R.
Different options for breakfast. From a healthy one composed of cereals, fruit and juice to high-speed one.Even though, is not fatty.the place is very will decorated and you can find a selection of the best Italian bakery
J. O. D.
Great buzz and atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fast service and pretty good Italian food. Would visit again.
M. O. H.
Love it. Tasty authentic Italian food. Nice to sit outside on a sunny day if lucky to get a seat. Fan of the brushetta here in particular!!
C. N.
Great coffee but the service could be improved. By the time my toasted bread came to the table I had already finished my coffee. The waiter had forgotten.
R. W.
Fast,efficient and friendly service.
Excellent food using lunchtime offer menu.
Gluten free options included and daughter commented it was also excellent.
R. S.
Great spot for a coffee great service
c. o.
Excellent food and excellent service.
m. p.
Coffee is great here they have 2 blends Milano and Napoli.
The Milano is 100% Arabica which I love and the napoli has a bit of Robusta for a kick.
Try their Pain Au Chocolat fresh they are crispy and the chocolate melts in your mouth.
Lunch menu is quite good as well and reasonable.
M. S.
Most people go to Carluccio's for some dinner or to enjoy the Italian coffee culture. While the food is lovely, Carluccio's is my favorite spot for take out: gorgeous olives, fantastic! parma ham, egg-based pasta, smoked artichokes and tasty tomato sauces - you will find everything in here for your antipasto and dinner party - with friends or simply by yourself.
E. L.
Lovely atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff and good food
s. m.
A lovely surprise very nice and affordable kids menu . And the ravioli were marvellous. The 2 small cannoli weren't great
F. C.

M. G.
Really good. We have been before during christmas shopping for lunch. Great food. Great service. Great location and atmosphere!!
P. B.
Great Italian restaurant but while the steak and vegtables were excellent the potatoes were cold. I would have said something but rushing to a show. Not expensive.
D. B.
Brilliant food, slightly tight room but the staff do their best with such a busy clientele! Excellent brunch menu
A. B.
Fab food, great service
H. G.
Great Benedict eggs. We had to wait to be served but the treatment was exquisite. Recommended if you're not in a hurry ;-)
J. B.
Great food and atmosphere. Amazing staff as well. Can be a little cramped on busy nights
J. O.
Great food and very friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Genuine warm atmosphere. We'll be back
J. Ż.
Lovely for semi casual lunch... Food was great!
We had to wait a bit for our coffee, but it was understandable in busy time...
D. N. d.
Good Service!
Good Food!
We really had a good time at Carluccio's, Italian Restaurant at Dawson Street, Dublin.
M. F.
Is a really nice italian restaurant in Dublin. I’ve been there and I never been disappointed. They also have a little section where you can buy typical italian products. Great service.
L. L.
What a delightful meal! Very happy with food, location, service and atmosphere! A lovely night had in Dublin!
J. T.
We were lucky to get fry up breakfast on new years day at lunch time, good quality, value, good decor and friendly staff. P. S. Marian loved it too!!!
L. T.
Excellent pasta! Many tasty gluten free options. I highly reccommend the Carbonara and the seafood-pasta dish. Lovely!
C. E.
Excellent food. Very attentive staff. Always enjoy eating here
S. O.
Well managed part of uk chain. A smart place for quick, authentic italian lunch . I wouldn't bring a date here or anything but for where it is among the business of south city center it's perfectly places for business lunches and the like.
H. N.
Great food, great coffe. Luas stop right outside Staff were so friendly no and accommodating. We'll return
N. S.
Good Italian food cooked reasonably well in a fast food environment in the middle of Dublin. Good value for money.
G. M.
Great staff and excellent service...food was lovely. Only criticism is for an Italian restaurant I was disappointed to see that there was no pizza on the menu
T. G.
Charming restaurant and staff. Try the Affogato and the Passion Fruit Meringue dessert. Absolutely delicious, you're not gonna regret!
J. S.
I live and work in Dubin and have pased Carluccios hundreds of times with realising waht a fantastic italian restraurant this is.
If you get here before 7pm you can avail of the early bird menu which is super value.
There is even a small shop selling everything you need for an italian evenng at home.
Dont ever passs by again, stop and go in
B. C.
Busy buzzy Italian in the heart of Dublin city, food is good, service is excellent.
M. B.
Food was tasty and service was good.
B. K.
Very nice place. They had great Tortellinis but unfortunately they don't have it on the menu anymore. But their steak, lasagne and tiramisu is amazing
P. G.
Went here for breakfast last Sunday. (The only place open on Sunday for breakfast in Dublin pretty much). Great food, and amazing coffee.
g. s.
Friendly staff. No longer do takeaways. Enjoyed my liver pate with toast. Reasonable price.
C. M.
Lovely atmosphere. Staff were so helpful and attentive. Lovely food. Will definitely return
D. H.
Great food. Reasonable prices. Would be 5 if. The decor was a little fancier but its good!
J. P.
We visit Dublin for a break every November. We usually go to Brown Thomas Restaurant for breakfast, but November 2016 we were told that there was no hot breakfast to be had. I was not sure what to do, so we went for a walk and found this place. It was simply brilliant, and we are now switching our tradition to Carluccio's!
M. G.
Great value and tasty 2 course lunch. Staff very pleasent and efficent. Nice atmosphere
A. O.
They have the closest thing to Spanish hot chocolate that I have found in Dublin but they serve it in shots! (almost)
It is a pleasant place to meet somebody at that awkward hour of the afternoon when one wants cake and the other dinner.
M. M.
Wonderful attentive staff. High quality food and not too pricey. One of the better Italian places in the city.
A. l.
Fresh and good food, fine épicerie on the ground floor. A lot of choices a la carte. Lunch deals quite intersting. Good place to go with friends
J. O.
Great food, great atmosphere. What a wonderful experience
A. C.
The food was OK, nothing special just OK. The service was poor, they may not of expected as many walk ins as we were, but waiting 30 mins to have our order taken and forgotten mains for the adults dragged the whole experience on far too long for a lunch with two children.
D. T.
Lovely food, really nice house wine and very reasonably priced for the 2 course menu. Very friendly staff
R. C.
Delicious food, we had to wait for a table but we'll worth the wait and charming staff
S. G.
Good place for lunch ...
N. L.

Super Italian food
H. S.
Lovely food. Very efficient & friendly service from an Italian server, but pricey enough.
O. E.
Carluccio's is one of my favorite places in Dublin. It brings in a variety of choices in its menu with an arsenal of authentic italian dishes....
You have to try out the "bicerin" (pronounced "becherin"), it's just too good ....
b. s.
Love this place absolutely, lovely atmosphere , absolutely fast service , food heavenly good ,can't wait to come back...
r. m.
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant but as I my meal came to the table I found out that the lasagna I was burntv on the bottom of the plate
S. C.
The food here is excellent, a lovely menu to chose from, but the service could be improved.
