I've been visiting here long enough, so I figure a review is in order! Excellent quality drinks are on offer here, whether you want a basic espresso or (my usual) a latte macchiato, and all with quite the variety of sandwiches and desserts on offer. Breakfast, lunch, a quick bite to eat before you head home for the evening, Guud Day offers that with honestly some of the most friendly staff I've ever met. There has hardly ever been a day where I've went in and not been met with smiles and pleasantry, a far cry from the majority of coffee chains around the city. Needless to say, there's many a reason to stop by.

Delicious coffees, lattes, cappuccinos. I recommend the cinnamon scone. Kind staff! Nice place to get a coffee with friends or work on your laptop when you're fed up of working in your room all the time.

I absolutely love their coffee! The food is very good, and the location is in the centre, so you can enjoy a cup of coffee without worrying about time, because everything is close. The shop looks really nice and aesthetic as well.

Food was good but was wrong then when we asked for what we ordered they still got it mixed up, someone at the table beside us had the same issue, we gave up. They did get busy very quickly and they where very apologetic maybe a better ordering system is needed in busy times

The place is cozy and at the heart of the city center. Nice place to have a Hot chocolate. The staff is friendly and follows all the covid 19 prevention guidelines. Keep it up.

Very comfortable place to sit back, people watch or just relax having your drink. Not to mention the internet is FAST which I love being from America. I got coconut smoothie which was very coconut which is yummy but it isn't a cold drink bit overall good. Lastly, love the music & overall vibes. Reminds me of being home. I'll be back!

Lovely place, calm! Music was amazing. Food is great and coffee is one of my favourites. Located at the heart of the city centre. People dropping off at city centre from Northern Ireland or the airport may find this place next to their stop (Upper O'Connell street). You can't miss this place as it is next to the Holiday Inn.

Great coffee, came here for breakfast two days in a row. Had a swimming pool size mocha. Delicious sandwich croissants. Ok muffins. Located close to lots of sites, easy to walk to and from. Very close to buses to/from the airport.

A nice oasis on O’Connell Street (5/5 green stars) I’ve been to a few branches of Esquires, and have visited this branch twice. I like this café – it’s very cozy inside with nice decor, but also has lots of light and an outdoor seating area. I find their espresso drinks (€3.15 for a small latte) to be good and would rate their food as quite good (some room for improvement). Their cookie (€2.75) was fine, their apple turnover (€2.75) was a bit deflated and soft, and their scrambled egg & pretzel was tasty (but portion was a bit small). I’m also giving them 5/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on these reasons: • All of their coffee is organic and certified Fairtrade. • Ethical Consumer ranks Esquires as the second best coffee chain – just below Soho and well above Starbucks. • It’s worth mentioning that some independent cafés offering direct trade, sustainable coffee may have a better overall impact. So I wouldn’t rate them as the most ethical café but they may be in the top 20%, so that means 5/5. • They tend to do a good job at encouraging ceramic /personal cup use. • Food is also served on ceramic plates with metal utensils. • Their sugar is also Fairtrade certified. • I’ve forgotten to get many details on food, and their website has no information on anything beyond the coffee. • For now I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt on the food but they should provide more info on sourcing. Free range eggs?
