Reviews of Le Petit Perroquet
A. I.
Great small place with French vibes in Dublin city! Great pastry, a place to sit for a cup of coffee alone or with a friend. Definitely recommend!
A. T.
It's a nice little cafe but it's very cramped to sit. We only came for the tarts as the food seemed overpriced. The tarts were very lovely. We had the chocolate and lemon tart. Service could be better. We were at the till about to pay when the lady at the counter started yelling at another girl that just came in for having a starbucks drinks. Obviously it was another employee but way inappropriate to react like that and especially dealing with a customer. She could have waited to say something after dealing with us. But looking from the other reviews here, that's the norm apparently. I would suggest to do takeaway.
M. N.
Fabulous artisan treats. Only place I found in Dublin, where desserts were not too sweet or with toffee/fudge (no worries, there are toffee/fudge desserts as well :))) It is a small place, so I recommend takeaway.
T. T.
Cute little place, lovely decoration. Nice selection of main dish and dessert. The staff could be a little more attentive.
C. B.
Quaint tucked away little cafe. Pricing is a bit on the high side but the food is good for what it is. Perfect for a single person or perhaps two but the table situation does not lend itself for big groups. Service was attentive and even ga e recommendations.
M. K.
Love this place with fab food and really nice& friendly staff!cakes are amazing
R. R.
A dash of France in amid of the Ireland capital. Tasty coffee and various types of french and european deserts. Quick service, friendly staff, fresh and tasty food and drinks. Great for a short lunch brake, morning coffee and convinient for couples as well. If you are wondering what to do before ypu visit your next attraction, La Petit Parisien is the place. #dublin
r. s.
Warm, cozy and one of the frenchiest places in dublin. Great for a sunday afternoon coffee. Good coffees and good cakes. The chocolate cake was delicious but the lemon cake was not that great. Overall a good warm place to have a catchup with someone.
N. H.
This is one of the best breakfast pastry stops I've had in Dublin. Really enjoyed the croissant and the little treat they give you with the coffee.
I tried an americano and then an espresso. They were both good but not quite as spot on as some of the other area spots. Stick to the other breads and pastries.

It is what it appears to be -little portal to escape into the “Past of Paris”. Old Parisian Classics most of which that were popularized by the cinema of the 1940’s through 1960’s. To avoid the mania of crowds it’s best to come before 9am.
A. D.
If you want a proper French café away from France; come here. Staff are attentive but busy. Menu is enough as a feast. Gallic quirks and banging coffee.
K. K.
Amazing, small French bakery. Delicious desserts and coffee. It's worth to spend some time here.
N. S.
Great atmosphere and lovely music. I love be way it’s so cosy. The baristas were lovely and let me stay for an hour even bough all I ordered was a peppermint tea.
M. B.
I really liked the cafe. The staff was lovely and the food was really nice. A little pricey but perfect for a brunch treat. I'll be going back again.a
J. O.
Excellent menu with some wonderful dishes. Everything you'd expect from a good French cafe.
L.
loved the atmosphere and the food, however the service was a little slow...
D. T. P.
Fab, great atmosphere- excellent food, friendly service. What's not to like!!! If Calsberg did Cafe's..
IMO The best place for a light lunch in Dublin....
J. G.
...fantastic little spot in the middle of town, great place to have some gorgeous sweet things, and to watch the world pass by with a coffee... heaven at eleven... ☕️☕️☕️
A. R.
Friendly staff, excellent cakes, lovely coffee, like Paris but with smiles 😂😂😂
D. A.
This is a small French bakery in a fairly touristy area of the city. I thought that the staff were very friendly. The service was prompt and I enjoyed my breakfast. Coffee was decent too. It is a bit pricey for what it is but considering the location it is justified I think.
H. P.
Great atmosphere, nice food, nice desserts very good background music.
T. V. M. D. l. N.
Amazing and chaeming place, like being in París! Great música too.
V. O.
Lovely little place. Can get crowded and the tables are tiny. Makes for an uncomfortable experience if you're more than two. Tarts have a nice buttery crust. Clearly they don't use lard. A bit pricey but with it for an occasional treat.
C. B.
I have bought from this coffee shop many times and have finished one of their loyalty cards and am half way through my one now. The staff always greet me with a smile and excellent service each time i have gone. the food and drinks are delicious every time and i wouldd highly recommend to anyone!
T. S.
Lovely little place for breakfast! The staff is super friendly, and the premises is very cozy. I waited 40 minutes for my Croquet Madame to no avail. Had to leave without my food, but great espresso! Very authentic French place :)
R. N. H.
I've been in here a few times, it's a great little spot. Wonderfully decorated, reminds you of an oldy-timey tearoom. Service is good, the menu, both sweet and savoury, is excellent, as is the coffee. Particularly the French toasted brioche with syrup and bacon. Only complaint is it's small, so it can be hard to get a table! But that's not really a complaint, is it?
M. A. R.
I like the location. Very good coffee. Quite place
M.
Gorgeous interior, very cosy and has a nice Parisian left-bank feel. Staff is quite attentive and atmosphere is relaxed. Food is delicious and high quality. Lovely way to start the morning with a pastry and coffee!
F. B.
Super tasty nibbles. Good coffee and great atmosphere. Hard to get into at times because it's so popular. So relaxed. Great for reading a book. Thoughts of my next visit make me happy :)
i.
Good service and good lemon tart!
L. D. B.
Good coffee and good tarts!
Service polite except for a woman (about 40 years old, long dark hair) that was quite rude.
I used to go there regularly but I stopped after that.
m. d.
we had a fantastic breakfast here of the croissants and the quiche lorraine. we had tarts to follow... everything was perfect and well priced. the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was wonderful. can't complain. :)
A. E.
This place offers French breakfast options as well as more hearty meals of the Irish and English variety. It's furnishing and ambience comes quite close to actual Parisien cafés.
Unfortunately, this place uses non-ad-free internet radio. During our stay of about an hour, the piano music was interrupted twice by a loud radio announcer, thereby ruining the mood.
We were very satisfied with our food and the staff was considerate, yet not overly enthusiastic.
E.
One of my favourite places in the city. Step out of Dublin and into gay Paris for an hour. Designed to emulate a classic French café/patisserie with vintage 1920s - 1930s decor reminiscent of the Café Society era. Check it out, the pastries are gorgeous.
W. S. M.
What a lovely little bakery/cafe right in the middle of the most beautiful district of Dublin! It's very small, you feel like in a little nook, so cosy and warm. Very nice staff and the food is definitely French !
g. s.
Excellent sandwiches and cakes, good coffee. A little crowded and sometimes requires waiting, but worth it. Feels like a little French bakery and very nice service. Beautiful toilettes!
M. W.
Lovely French world where I spent a nice afternoon with buddy.
s. V.
The food is incredible. A bit expensive but justify by the quality.
The big black point of this place is the customer service!!! Both in the counter and in the restaurant, the worst you can find in Dublin.
Im making my point after at least 6 visits to this place. Each time, customer service has been terrible.
A. M.
Very good! It's a sweet surprise to find it while walking in Dublin...
E. P.
Had coffee and lemon tart. Let me just say I love good coffee. I cried when I had this coffee. The tart was just to die for. Yes this was an amazing place and no im not ashamed of crying over the best cup of coffee I ever had.
C.
Fabulously French. Friendly small atmospheric cafe with great value lunch deal. Love the pastries for a coffee stop too. Like a slice of old Paris. Highly recommend a visit.
D. F.
Good little cafe with beautiful tarts and sweet treats and some of the best coffee in town. Some items are a tad overpriced also service can be hit or miss at times which is a pity because the cafe itself is beautiful.
A. a. M. A. V.
Love the pies and the ham&cheese sandwich. The service is seeing improvement as the new staff is much nicer. Is perfect for a saturday late lunch.
Suggestion: open a new place :)
L. M.
This place is AMAZING don't hesitate to come if you are in Dublin and want to have a cup of tea or coffee.
The service is incredible and the sweets are great, try the Chai Latte and the chocolate biscuit.
R.
Tarts are good! But portion of breakfast and lunch can be a lil small with the price you’re paying
It can be cramp during busy hour too
I. M.
Had a fantastic lunch in here today. Like stepping through a wee doorway to Paris. Staff are great and food was amazing. Recommended.
A. H. y.
Perfect brunch
H. P.
Very fine cakes and tarts, nice service, but a small cafe and one is lucky to get a table. The second time we wanted to go, we just walked out due to the cue.
D. M.
Food was okay and staff friendly, you get free water with your order. The decor is lovely. But heavily overpriced, I would not go back again.
R. H.
What can I say about this place! Gorgeously relaxing, warm, friendly, beautiful coffee, epic pastries and cakes, wonderful staff. Always happy to let a couple of hours drift away here. Gem.
F. B.
Wonderful place, warm and extremely comfortable. Delicious food, well presented and well served. delicious and hot coffee. Service excellent, fair price.
A. C.
One of the BEST Hot chocolates I've had in the city. Not hot and made with great chocolate.
Customer Service is great so friendly and fun
m. d. l.
Delicious food and very kind staff who are helpful and very tolerant of toddlers as some places really aren’t. I was made to feel very welcome and will definitely return.
P. M.
A beautiful little venue with an authentic French ambience, staff and music. Food always great. It can get a bit crowded by times. Long may it last.
A. E.
A lovely place to have lunch.
Very reasonably priced, great pastries and coffee. Definitely worth visiting.
A. J.
Wonderful little spot of France in the middle of Dublin. Good coffee, average quiche lorraine. Drop by, if for nothing but the coffee and atmosphere.
J. O.
Wanted a place for a quick bite to eat for breakfast. Was best ham and cheese croissant I have ever had, and great coffee.
O. T.
Excellent pastries (some of the best in the city) and good coffee. Nice decor but can feel a bit cramped sometimes.
K. C.
Food and beverages are fabulous. Staff multilingual and very friendly. One of my favorite places to stop off for a bite to eat.
D.
The best strawberry tarts!...seating outside a little cramped, but ok.
Tea was mediocre. Customer service, okay, nothing special.
Although, I'll be back for, the strawberry tarts!
H. P. F.
I wish the service was half as good as the food and coffee. Always a dilemma because I love the food but the service is as snoby as it would have been in Paris.
A. C.
Nice little french-style cafe, fine pastries and tarts. Breakfast is good, but not excellent (omelette was a bit dry).
N. S.
Had pastries for takeaway and they were as authentic Parisian as you will get here in Dublin. Anxious to go back for some proper baguettes.
B. R.
Great little French restaurant, this place was packed when we came in and I know why. Great food and atmosphere.
S. G.
I felt like I was in Paris!!! The food is great, the ambience even better. I went there three times while in Dublin it was so , what is the word??? I loved it!!!!!!!!
J. “. E.
It is a lovely cafe, but the quiche wasn't great. I was expecting something amazing and it wasn't. It was tiny, dry, like it was sitting out for a week.
S. O.
Cute little cafe. Literally no faults. The staff were very nice and the tart was divine!
D. J.
Great place to grab a pastry or a sandwich while you're in Dublin. Seating area tends to be crowded, but you can also grab something to go.
C. C.

Cozy coffee shop with a wide range of coffees and pastry. Nice service and lovely atmosphere... A little bit of Paris in a shop.
M. G.
Love the place great food nice staff but so small
J. R.
Very good quality French food snacks and cakes. One downside is that the elevator music needs to change.
T. W.
Fantastic food though the interior isn't much to my liking and the wait is almost always long.
C. P.
Fabulous place though small and quite dark. Food and service were top class.
H. R.
Coffee is good and locale nice, can't say much more.
S. R.
Really frenchy atmosphere. Good Coffe and Croissant. Highly recommend

Good sandwiches with fresh products. But the bread is average quality, not French quality standards.

(Translated) Pretty little bakery which obviously recalls Parisian bakeries. The setting is pleasant, fast service. We were even lucky enough to have a French server. The dishes are generous. I enjoyed the quiche with salad and soup.
Only downside, the prices are a bit high for my taste.

(Translated) Le Perit Parisien is a place where time seems to have stopped passing by. Its decoration is ostentatious and attractive.
I really liked the different options on the menu. It was difficult to choose something!
It has nice background music, and the waitresses were all very friendly.
The only thing I didn't like so much about this place is that it is somewhat small and the tables are too close together. But that's it. I would go again without hesitation.
