Love this place, I wish they were open during the holidays 😢 Try a flat white 2 sugars, you won't be disappointed or an iced Mocha with honey. Very tasty.
M.
Great little coffee shop, love the the inside of the shop, very "coffee'ish"😁
Coffee was great, very strong, but that's how I like it.
G. B.
Coffee is super delicious and the peanut brownies are gorge too! Staff are so friendly :) will be back again!
B. D.
A hidden gem in Dublin city, Shoe Lane is small in size but big in character. The coffee is to die for, and they have a great range for those who like to brew their own at home. The staff are wonderful and would put you in a good mood with their energy and friendliness. If you're lucky enough to be in the vicinity I would thoroughly recommend stopping by.
D. G.
Fantastic little coffee shop in unassuming location. Got delicious coffee & croissant here. Quick service & very flavorful. So much better than tiresome Insomnia coffee.
M. F.
They're open inside again! Just 4 seats downstairs but it's a start. Consistently the best coffee in Dublin and such a cute and cozy space as well. They have cold brew and iced in addition to hot coffee, and I love how up front they are about where their beans and roasts come from.
J. J.
It opens early, great service and good coffee
E. W.
Nice place to take a relaxing meal staff are very helpful and friendly clean and tidy.

Really good chai latte!
A.
Nice service. Great coffee. Great prices. Nice atmosphere for work and amazing music. What more can I say?
F. P.
Great quality of drinks, decent prices, and friendly staff! When I went in the card machine was down, but they served me anyway and let me sit outside with my drink and pay afterwards when they were working again, which I was very grateful for!
G. Z.
I haven’t tried best coffee here in Dublin yet. The special menu is always changing and bringing amazing creative new recipes! If you want to experience a good brew or espressos, this is place to stop by. Place is also real cozy and charming. The staff always friendly and ready to take your orders and adapt if needed. Really recommend this little café in town, it’s a gem!
S. l.
The pastries and coffee are stunning ! I was disappointed for some of their drink such as coffee with yuzu. I ordered it few months ago, i tasted it. It was not yuzu but an orange. I noticed to the waiter that.morning he confirmed that there is no yuzu at all in the drink. I was really disappointed as it was à fake ingrédient mentionned in their board.
L. P.
Great coffee, fair prices, good music.
The cookies are legendary.
P. S.
Nice quiet spot with WiFi. The coffee is very good. It's just coffee and sweet treats no savoury.
J. M.
Could well be the nicest coffee in the city. Professional and friendly service.
J. C.
Great hot oat milk cappuccino 👌🏻🔥💯
P. B. (.
Just had a skinny latte and the breakfast cookie, small in size but big in flavour, I'll shall endeavour to come back for more
T. P.
Best coffee in Dublin. Hands down. Go here. It’s delicious and you have all the options of nondairy milks and more.
P. W.
Great coffee shop just off the quays. The coffee is made with care and tastes great! Definitely the place to go for coffee and a scone in Dublin 2.
S. Z.
Love the coffee here! Quality! Love the atmosphere as well. There are upstairs seats as well.
A. S.
Went there twice during my trip, matcha latte chai latte turmeric latte were so good and their almond brownie omg... Definitely one of the best in Dublin.
M. G.
Delicious coffee, loved it! Super lovely stuff as well!
A. D.
Really enjoyed this place before they changed their coffee beans not nice at all now so disappointed bitter and no taste
N. P.
Cute little coffee shop with really lovely baristas!
C. C.
My coffee (cold brew) was glorious and had a lovely chat with the staff there, they are so friendly. Would return in a heartbeat :)
f. n.
The iced matcha was good (€4) and latte was okay. Lovely atmosphere! ❤️❤️❤️friendly staffs. Design of the plAce pretty insta-worthy! Cute lil coffee shop. Dont think they have toilet tho.
E. D. M.
Lovely little coffee shop with excellent flat whites and friendly staff. Delighted I found it!
D. M.
Perfect espresso, open earlier and later in comparison to other independent coffee shops in Dublin. Very friendly staff.
S. A.
Lovely coffee, cinnamon bun and smiling service.
P. Z.
Fresh roasted coffee. You should taste Flat White here
R. H.
Nice place, good coffee and great cake. Shame the unfriendly staff ruined it.
D. V.
Don’t miss their Thursday’s donuts 🍩 You’ll start with one and then you’ll dream about coming back for more.
Cruffins are still on my list to try though.
A. G.
Amazing coffee! Tumeric ice coffee is my favourite!
A.
A splendid place with good coffee, tasty pastries & supreme staff! Felt very welcomed to come and stay awhile at 6:30am and watch Dublin “wake up”. Only a little sad they didn’t have “to stay” coffee wares, as I don’t love drinking out of a paper cup. Both filter and flat white were too hot, but began tasting better as they cooled down. The staff 100% filled in any doubts I had & were very thoughtful.
Adored the surprise upstairs and old comics in the bathroom. Very cute touches to the decor and design of Shoe Lane!
S. I.
Best coffee I've ever tried. Cofeshop looks very professional 😎. Very nice and pretty baristas. Offer cinnamon and/or chocolate spicing for cappuccino. Cozy wooden interior, more space upstairs. It's calm and quiet. Looks to be a perfect place for inspiring work 💻, read 📖 or just some dreaming time 😊.
J. K. (.
Good coffee, liked the ambiance, not so much pastries. Scone was dull without much flavor or berries though it was a mixed berries scone
K. I.
A very small, but very nice cafe place. Uncomfotable and low chairs
K. G.
One of the better cups of coffee around
V. S.
Cozy atmosphere and good coffee. Also have a nice selection of treats.
M. M.
A really cool place. Nice music and atmosphere for a casual meeting or just to relax. My favourite around here.
Awesome coffee and snacks and lovely staff :)
c. a.
good coffee, place was a bit messy but it’s ok
D. v. K.
What a great place! I can only say... perfect. The Cappuccino awesome and the almond croissant yummie! A must go!
A. B.
Absolutely amazing spot in a Dublin City centre. Great coffee, nice snacks, amazing staff and central location. A must to visit.
K. N.
Amazing coffee and lovely environment to sit down and do some school work with a hot drink
L. B.
They’re really nice and have delicious (vegan) banana bread
S.
Great coffee.. and a much safer environment than 3fe down the street
L. M. D.
Stunning coffee, service and treats!. I noticed they have fully compostable cups which is fantastic, especially as we can’t use our own travel cups at the moment. If you’re into really good coffee, this place is divine - go!
O. H.
Literally the cutest coffee shop with the best matcha latte I've ever had (and I've cafe-hopped a lot in many countries). If I could give it 10 stars I would ☺
F. D.
Great coffee and friendly staff. Feels very comfortable with new social distancing measures implemented. Been popping in regularly enough over the last 2 years and it has always been great so about time I left a review. Support local cafés!
A. G.
The ambiance and hot drinks offered are absolutely unmatched. I come here to study and all the time- it reminds me of home!
D. K.
Fantastic cosy coffee shop, with genuinely dedicated staff. Right beside Tara Street Station - with additional seating up stairs.
S. M.
Their *unreal* coffee & hot chocolate got me through my thesis. Favourite place, recommend it to absolutely everyone.
I. S.
Best coffee in Dublin, hands down. Nice staff too
J. F.
Very good coffee and nice cozy place! But when ordering pastries, they cannot hear them!
A.
Might be the best carrot cake I've ever had
D. K.
A gem in the heart of Dublin city centre, Shoe lane offers solace in this mad city. Great vibes, friendly staff, single source coffee, a creative coffee menu, delicious food & pastries.
R. M. G.
Loved this place so much! The decor was quirky, coffee was nice, variety of dairy-free milk however, food & coffee was a little pricey for how small it is.
C. B. C.
Lovely place. Cozy with a personal touch.
C. B.
Clean, relaxed comfortable spot with amazing staff. They do some lovely vegan options:
Vegan fudge,
Choc chia seed pudding with coconut flakes and goji berries,
Oatly mylk,
Nóbó treats,
Fresh fruit and also the gluten free crisps!
C. D.
Best coffee in Dublin hands down. So many reasons:
1) The actual coffee is good (always a plus)
2) The staff are lovely, all of them. Super friendly. And they make good coffee (trend here)
3) The coffee shop is so cute, love the decor. Upstairs you can chill, do some work or just sit, sip and look out the window and people watch.
Always happy to support small businesses as well.
Tip: try the coconut milk flat white 🥰
h. t.
amazing place for coffee and fantastic pastries, well worth a visit for anyone especially coffee heads!
A. R.
Lovely staff, great coffee and cakes
S. M.
Delicious, hip coffee.
N. R.
Great coffee, and a very cool place!
S. “. r. n. E.
Kind service, good location and comfortable interior. The downstairs may seem small, but there's also the upstairs space, which is also a bit more quiet. The tables and chair are modern and wooden, giving the café a nice touch. The music played at the perfect volume suits the ambiance well. And the coffee tastes amazing!
f.
One of the best coffee's in Dublin, pastries are lovely too. Always pop in whenever I'm in the area.
R. D. B.
Great coffee. Highly recommend!
S. K.
Lovely location. We were there as a large group (12) and it was fine in terms of space. Lovely selection of buns and pastries. Reasonable prices for the area. Atmosphere was nice and relaxed, I would imagine at a different time in the day though it would be very busy.
C. D. R.
As two tired travelers getting off a 5am flight we were looking for a coffee spot. We lucked into finding this place -- it has great espresso based drinks, wonderful pasties, and a great decor. Furthermore, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!
P. R.
Consistently good. In addition to the usual coffee shop drinks offerings, they also have a great selection of hot non-caffeine based drinks. Plenty of dairy alternatives too. Great staff. Central location beside Tara Street train station.
S. B.
I had the best gingerbread hot chocolate ever from this place. So different to your average Costa version; seemed to be homemade, so no sweet sugar syrup.
The atmosphere was lovely too. Upstairs is very cosy - would recommend a visit!
N. M.
It's funny how destination of living changes your destination for a coffee, but that's not a excuse just I'm not so often there as I was before. Shoe Lane coffee shop with nice history behind this story, lovely staff with always nice coffees on a choice. Don't miss 1st floor sits for casual work or a good music on gramophone which gives THAT something to the history walk in your head as you drink your favourite flat white, latte or espresso... thanks for service... 👌👌🧠
S. M.
Lovely coffee and comfortable space.
C. D.
If you love coffee this is the place to be. Coffee is great, baristas passionate and there's a friendly atmosphere.
The place might be packed with people, but sitting, standing or To Go, the coffee is top top notch.
I'm addicted to their smooth, hot chocolate.
Highly recommend!
S. A.
Recommendations of a friend!
Shoe Lane Coffee is one of those places that you just want to stay all day long doing whatever you have to do (Study, work, etc.) It's perfect if you are looking for a place where you can just enjoy a good cup of coffee drinks and comfort to pass your day. When I saw, it was half an hour to close the place.
Staff is friendly, helpful and seem cool guys who make great cups of coffee. My filter coffee was fresh, hot and delicious.
There are plugs, a powerful wi-fi and decorations that match with who they are: Simple, tasty and comfortable.
J.
Perfect hideout on a rainy day
Y. f.
This coffee shop is easily one of the best in Dublin. Their cakes and pastries are delicious. They know how to make the perfect latte (with latte art) and they serve oat milk. They rotate the beabs regularly too so you can enjoy different flavour notes in your coffee. Earlier in the week, the beans were Ethiopian. Currently, they're Guatemalan. ♥
M. L.
This is a great little place. Lovely coffee, nice pastries, friendly staff. What's not to like? Excellent independent café, well worth trying.
B. K.
What a coffee shop!!! Most AMAZING coffee, probably the best in Dublin. Lovely girls and such a class vibe. You can tell someone worked very hard to get this place up and running to the way it is now. I actually get off the dart a stop early to get my coffee here. Done with franchise coffee, have to support our locals!
D. C.
This is a really great coffee shop. The downstairs is lively and the upstairs a great workspace. The coffee is equal to any in Dublin, and they have vegan sambos in their fridge. Only thing I'd say is that the staff could have been friendlier. But an absolute must for coffee lovers, and if you want to get some work done outside of home or the office, upstairs here is the place to go!
E. R. S.
Lovely little coffee shop. This is proper coffee, made per order with so many different options for sweets that I got overwhelmed. Great atmosphere, definitely recommend.
J. S.
Visited shoe lane on a Friday morning as I’d heard good reviews. Coffee was nice however god forbid you ask for low fat milk - they don’t do it and don’t feel the need to explain the other milks they have on offer to you (I’ve no clue about dairy and non dairy milks etc so I felt a bit embarrassed even asking her). Nice coffee, but I won’t be returning due to the unfriendly staff behind the counter.
C. O.
Just visited this morning for the first time. Open at 6.30am (thank you!). Coffee is possibly the best I've had in a long time. The type of coffee that gets you excited about coffee again...like your first 'hit' all over again (careful now). They have a variety of milk (Almond, Hemp, soya etc). Very nice selection of fresh pastries (and at 6.30am), sandwiches etc. Great background tunes and absolutely worth a visit.
I. N.
Love love love!😍
M. D.
Shoe Lane is one of (if not the) best coffee shop experiences in the city! Friendly staff, great tunes, lovely decor and seating area if you want to stop for a bite. Naturally the coffee is amazing and more affordable than a lot of your other premium places in town too.
P. R.
Popped in for a coffee a little while back while visiting Dublin. Absolutely loved the vibe here, great coffee and really friendly staff. Nice little gem to be found in Dublin. Shout out to the blonde girl working there who makes a mean coffee and is an absolute sweetheart. Definitely will visit again when I'm next in Dublin.
E. M.
Coffee shops can be rated by quality of coffee, setting, staff and location. Shoe lane ticks nearly all these boxes. Good coffee, good setting, good staff and a good location. The only downside for me is that although the coffee is good(And it truly is good) there is better in Dublin. It is definitely worth a visit.
L. A.
Great music, great coffee and best of all, some of the tastiest brownies I have ever had! Highly recommend this great little hideout!!
I. Y.
What an amazing cup of coffee. Small little tiny place, with a cozy wooden chairs. A very good place for a good cup of coffee ♥️☕
m. s.
I have been wanting to go the shoe Lane on Tara Street for ages and was NOT disappointed. We revived service with a smile and were served some of the most AMAZING coffees available in Dublin.
M. A.
Excellent,, will defiantly come again.. staff is friendly place is charming.. coffee is excellent
J. A.
Good, proper coffee and a vibe that makes me feel like a cool hipster. They sell apples too. I love apples. I've also always noticed that their staff are so kind and welcoming, too, which has become rare in cafes in Dublin. I'm a big fan.
E. W.
Such a gem! Not only is the inside adorable, so are the presentation on coffee and staff. There’s only one type of bean that they use at a time and they change it every so often but can make anything your heart desires with it. The mocha cappuccino was incredibly delicious. Highly recommend.
N. M.
Perfect. Just the type of place you need early in the morning. Friendly staff and great selection of food and drinks to meet plenty of diet and lifestyle requirements.
S. K.
Absolutely amazing place for coffee lovers. If you in love with espresso, you have to visit this place. Small cozy place with very friendly staff. Variety of the tea, in including vegan stuff. Small bites are also available, so you can have a light snack.
Recommend!
A. A.
I travel to Dublin often for work and have tried a couple of coffee places... Shoe Lane coffee however is a true standout place for me. The coffee is fantastic and espresso perfectly extracted every time. Great coffee and talented baristas, who know how to make the perfect cup. Keep up the great work 👍
D. C.
Very cool and chill spot. Coffee here is good and so are the staff. There's a lot of effort in making the experience great for customers
M. S.
Great coffee. Staff were friendly and the decor adds character. If you're looking for brunch type food, this isn't the place. But they do have nice pastries and bars.
J. D.
Fantastic coffee. So glad that it happened to be open early on the last Saturday before Christmas... lifesaver!
L. A.
Full range of specialty coffee , barista lady is doing a great job !
C. C.
Excellent coffee. Friendly service. Early opening hours at 630am and a good selection of breakfast such as sandwiches, pastries and yogurt. And so good that is is local.
C. U.
Came for coffee and was contented. Quality choice of food and beverages, also healthy ones. Very nice for a long coffee break 👌
A. M.
love this place. very relaxing place to read and have a coffee. My second home.
I. M.
Great coffee (delicious cappuccinos!), tasty pastries, and very cosy setting. They also have seating upstairs so it's a bit bigger than it seems from the outside. The perfect spot to hang out on a cold winter afternoon.
B. F.
This nice little coffee shop is located on Tara street. It's wooden interior is adorned with old shoemaker's molds and knicknacks for the coffee enthusiast, such a local coffee shop map and guide. A large map shows where the coffee is sourced from around the world and small benches allow you to enjoy your drink there, or on the go! The staff are friendly and coffee is moderately priced.
M. K.
Best macchiato in Dublin.
C. S.
Great coffee. Great vibes. Such friendly, genuine staff! Best place in the city to get away from it all for half an hour.
L. M.
Nice cosy little cafe with friendly staff. My Americano was a little weak for my taste but it was still good. Would definitely visit again.
B. F.
Really lovely coffee. These people are dead serious about their coffee. Reusable, branded cups are massively over-priced, though.
O. A.
One of the very best coffee spot in Dublin. Great coffee & friendly service. Highly recommend!
P.
What a wonderful little spot! Had a very tasty Terry's chocolate orange brownie here. The staff is so so friemdly and the decor is very cool!
S. R.
Gorgeous coffee & the staff were so friendly. Nothing was a bother to them. A real gem so close to Connelly & busarus a must for anyone passing through the city.
M. C.
Excellent coffee in a lovely spot. Very small though, with only a few seats.
R. M. G.
Amazing coffee here the place is stunning loads of natural wood everywhere, its cosy and could sit here for hours
J. S.
Have nothing bad to say of this place. Pleasant interior. And nice ladies behind the counter.
m. w.
Fab coffee, charming staff
E. W.
This place is incredible!!!
upperclass coffee.
Atmosphere is hdjsnanjakamsjssj can't describe, magical?
Everything is wooden.
The illumination gives romantic vibes.
Definitely love it
Q. V.
Great hot chocolate and chai latte! The place and the service are great for a quite working session or just to chill.
p. w.
Super friendly staff, cool vibes, good coffee, great prices! Highly recommend ☄
J. H.
The shop in Dun Laoghaire was lovely, the design of the place made it easy to settle. The experience was made all the much better by the staff and the pleasant atmosphere they provided, making the customer feel welcomed with ease.
C. L.
great coffee! very comparable to a good third wave shop in the US, also love that they have oat milk.
D. C.
Great coffee for a fair price. Varieties of milk are offered (almond, soya, coconut and hemp) and there are vegan and paleo options on the sweet treats too. You can go upstairs to relax more and there is a vintage record player with very cool music playing. The atmosphere is quite convivial as the staff were so friendly and nice today when I ordered. I came into Shoe Lane Coffee in a bad mood but I will leave in a good one. Thumbs up!
E. M.
Really good coffee - with lots of quiet seating upstairs... the cake was delicious... deducting one star as have in coffee served in take away cup...
A. O.
Nice coffee tasty snacks - vegan and gluten free options too
A. M.
I've been coming here for coffee since they opened as the shop is on my route to college and I can honestly say that I haven't had a bad coffee here. Sound staff, whopper coffee, groovy tunes and a cosy shop... can't bait it
b. k.
A great little nugget in the center of Dublin. The attention to detail is second to none, and they managed to save what seemed a slightly overroasted blend. Kudos!
K. D.
Very nice coffee, very cool vibe. Lovely cake and breakfast selection. But a little expensive. As someone who likes 3 shot americanos, it's a little annoying that they charge the same price for 4 as 3.
F.
Very nice place. Lovely, cosy interior in dark colours and wood. Upstairs area has classic music playing; I'm listening to Man Eater right now. Nice staff, lady at the front didn't have a problem with letting me sit down inside and eat my own sandwich. They have password protected Wi-Fi for customers. I got a flat white (€3.4) everyone is recommending. I've never had anything like it! Slightly sour-y at first but doesn't leave that awful sour aftertaste at all. Very smooth and full, with nice fatty milk. Has a decent amount of caffeine if my bouncy legs are anything to go by :) They also offer other kinds of milk, like almond and there's a lovely selection of cookies and cakes. I would love to come back someday and try something else from the menu.
R. M. C.
I love it here. Coffee is great and pastries are delicious. Also recommend trying the overnight oats!
M. M.
Coolest coffee place in town. Right off Tara st station
S. K.
Great coffee. Great vibe and service. Great for grabbing a light bite to eat. Highly recommend.
K. B.

Definitely my favourite coffee shop in town. Friendly staff, consistently great coffee and the perfect atmosphere for sitting and reading a book.
R. S.
Barista offered me a towel when I got caught in a downpour. Great coffee.
A. L.
My go-to cafe for working/studying. Super chill atmosphere and delicious coffee every time.
M. O.
Great coffee, good pastries. Downstairs seats are designed for tiny people, but upstairs ain't bad.
A. W.

In addition the most sympathetic (and lovely!) staff. Thanks
L. B.
Cosy place to enjoy a freshly brewed Coffee! Go sit upstairs!!
L. H.
Lovely little shop
E. B.
Nice coffee, great little shop. The only nitpick is some of the dairy-free milks aren't the barista-specific kind and don't work well in coffee.
S. M.
Friendly staff, relaxed vibe, beautiful coffee 😊
B. P.
Very good coffee roasted by Full Circle. Baristas all seem to know what they are doing, and are nice.
Pre-packaged sandwiches and salads if you need real food. Delicious fresh pastries and treats too.
A. S.
It's cute cafe. Nice place to hang out with friends
T. H.

Busy & popular cafe at lunch hour!
Earl gray small cup - expensive €2.50!!! 😅
N. S.
Some of the best coffee and loveliest staff. The atmosphere is great, great for grabbing a coffee and reading upstairs.
R. W.
Great place and staff are really friendly. The coffee is flavourful and satisfying in a way Starbucks is not.
N. M.
Great coffee
K. M.
The ambiance is good and all but the coffee is tiny and expensive. If it tasted like it should be more expensive than Starbucks for a smaller size, then fine, but it doesn't
D. M.
Great coffee.tried croissants on recommendation of barista.she was right.nicest ive had.cool place to sit and chill too.
T. S.
Stopped in early morning for coffee and a snack before heading out of Dublin. Flat white was so good, wish we could come back!

I was bummed out about being moved to a new office for work but then I found a place called Shoelane Coffee around the corner. Unbearably good coffee, delightful staff, and holy jaysus the pastries. Google needs a 6th star for places like this
F. S.
Lovely coffee & cake, especially fab that they are dog friendly here!! ❤🐶
T. C. N.
Great coffee before getting a bus on the quays. Lovely staff too, and check out the toilets - original decorating 😀

Really nice atmosphere, great coffee
A. C.
Great coffee and lovely pastries! Cosy interior would recommend!
T. S.
Very nice coffee in a nice and cozy setting. I am not really sure why all the coffee is served in take away cups, it seems like a big waste to me.
A. T.
Cosy place to get a good and very affordable coffee. If you're a looking for a coffee, go there instead of the the Starbucks around the corner
S. d. L.
Lovely independent coffee store, support it instead of going to Starbucks or Costa.
S. C.
A lovely place to stop for coffee to or from Tara Street Station.

(Translated) The second floor is a quiet atmosphere for everyone to work/study. The first floor is a pleasant atmosphere.
There is a London cafe guide at the window on the first floor, so if you are planning a trip to London, you can get a small bonus. (I got a lot of help^^!)
The latte is delicious and really delicious, and I asked if I would add honey to the iced latte.

(Translated) I searched online while waiting for the bus. The fragrant coffee scent that scents softly when you enter the store.
Not only coffee but also cakes and small sweets looked very delicious!
It has a calm atmosphere and has a second floor. The toilet on the mezzanine floor is also beautiful.
The taste is of course delicious and satisfying! The clerk is also friendly.

コーヒーだけでなくケーキやちょっとしたお菓子もとても美味しそうでした!
落ち着いた雰囲気で、2階があります。中2階にあるトイレも綺麗です。

(Translated) Good coffee, nice place. Very well attended. They have a variety of sweet, at least in the morning. It is not cheap, but the truth is that the coffee is very good. Two with milk (one of them almond) were € 6.90. The preparation is cured a lot, with a good cream. That if you have to like it loaded, since it is quite strong. As a curiosity, they have a world map where the origin of the coffee puts you. And they also have an analog instagram follower counter, which updates in real time if you start following them. If you want water, there are glasses and a jug to serve you.

Buen cafe, sitio bonito.
