Very very good food. It’s quite relaxing in their outdoor seating area too. I had the scallops to start and it had a “melt in your mouth” texture, perfectly caramelized to give its natural umami a boost and they were well-presented. The mussels tasted fresh as well and paired with their white wine and its tomato-based sauce, it was excellent. The roast salmon’s skin was lovely and crispy, the fish was moist and savoury and the sides the came with it were seasoned well. My only issue with Spark’s is we waited a bit long to have our orders taken even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time. Overall, I’m happy with Spark’s and I would go back again.

They have very nice food and drinks. Outdoor seating with heaters and in a little sectioned off area which means it is very peaceful. I love going there and have gone there so many times. If its possible it gets better every time. I suggest you go there at least once and maybe you will fall in love with it as much as I did.

One of the best place to eat in Smithfield! If you are around the city center which is just 10 minutes walk, is absolutely worth it to come over and have either breakfast / lunch or dinner over this little gem! Super excited, can't wait to come back over! Staff super friendly and professional.

Sparks is certainly a great place to eat in Smithfield. We were waiting at least 10 minutes to take our order, which wasn't the best first impression. The environment itself is pleasant and the staff throughout were sufficiently attentive. The scallops and mussels were very tasty, and portions were just right. There was a nice caramelisation on the scallops and they were sufficiently cooked so as not to be rubbery. The salmon dish, too, is very well presented and really hits the mark. On the surf and turf dish, I'd recommend that the chef reconfigures how the plate of food is presented. At present, it presents as a disconnected plate as if the ingredients were placed there randomly from a buffet. Also, better to have the asparagus not as baby asparagus, but as the thicker asparagus - and definitely seasoned (and preferably roasted). The fillet mignon was asked to be medium, but came medium-rare to (in parts) rare. It also wasn't as tender as a fillet mignon is supposed to be. Currently, the baby asparagus is soggy, bland, unseasoned, and there without purpose - almost as if there simply to complete the look for presentation alone. When we asked for the bill, we were given the wrong bill. Again, attention-to-detail matters! That's a small thing, but when you factor that in with how long it took our orders to be taken, you begin to see a theme develop. That said, I'd certainly recommend Sparks Bistro as a great place in Smithfield for tasty food at very reasonable prices. I hope to visit again very soon.

Very cosy, warm place with super friendly staff and originally creative menu. We came for brunch to have Bellini, Club Sandwich and BLT waffle sandwich. Totally worth it. Prices very good for the area. Totally recommended !

Currently operating takeout during lockdown, so haven't had a chance to dine in yet. The pizzas are great quality and good value for the very affordable prices. The staff are friendly and good to see they've got an extension built that will hopefully allow for some covered outdoor seating when the restrictions ease up.

Had an amazing evening here for our anniversary. The food was outstanding. I had the mussels to start and my partner had the prawns and chorizo. For mains we both had pasta and I can't recommend the tagliatelle siciliano enough. Only thing better than the food was the service. Very friendly and attentive and really went above and beyond. Will definitely be back.

Good breakfast on the north side of Dublin. Sparks is next to the Lighthouse in Smithfield market area. We went for breakfast and enjoyed the chilled out atmosphere and good fresh food. It isn't life changing food but hot, fresh, and decently priced for Dublin. Good service and quick. Clean and comfortable. Not a very big place. Definitely liked it better than The Third Space which is almost right across from it in the square. Better service and food at Sparks.

Filtered on Google maps by "Top Rated" to find this place and it didn't let us down. They accommodated our group of 8, hospitality was excellent and food was absolutely perfect. Great place to get brunch after a morning Jameson tour.

Was going to a concert at the 3 Arena and stopped off (Smithfield Luas stop is 50 yards away). Shown to seat quickly and menu presented. Very good selection. I went with the Prawn and Chorizo for Starter and the Steak for main course. Prawns were plump and full of flavour and the steak was cooked to perfection. The staff were great and they were attentive but not too attentive. I left full and satisfied, hopped on the Luas and was in the 3 Arena 17 minutes later. Will be back !

Sparks Bistro is my favourite restaurant in whole Dublin. I found there the best garlic mussels in Dublin. Delicious food, great and friendly service! There is a bonus: the menu changes, at least, once a month so you can expect new things to try. But don't be sad if a dish you liked before is not on the menu, they will cook it if requested. Also, they are open to cook a completely different dish to meet your dietary needs (gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.). All food ingredients are fresh and great quality so it would even be suitable for keto/paleo eaters. Don't forget to try their coffee, it's serious stuff! I just can not recommend this restaurant enough! I just love the food there, reason I go there frequently!
