Gorgeous café, cute and hidden away. Afternoon tea was delicious~ I asked for them to write a birthday note for my sister and they prepared this adorable and delicious cake! Thank you so much

True hidden gem of Dublin. There are only few tables inside but you can sit in a yard. Brunch menu is fresh and super tasty. I very much recommend the scrambled eggs
V. M.
Very cozy place, the stuff is really nice ☺️. We had french toast, carrots and walnuts pancakes and granola yogurt. Highly recommend the pancakes and the granola, it was so good!!

One of my most favourite places in Dublin - don't tell anyone, it's a secret!! But seriously, Ray and his team have created an idyllic haven of calm in a busy city, full of friendly staff and gorgeous food (not just the cakes, but the savoury stuff too!).
And if you get a chance, try Ray's amazing Baking Class - 3 hours of fun, and you go home with lots of gorgeous goodies to share (or not!). I love that you can peruse The Last Bookshop on Camden St before wandering out the back of the shop to the Cake Café and enjoy the best of both worlds - book and baking!

Cafe is hidden between a small alley and the old bookshop. It has a great outdoor seating and a comfortable place inside. All dishes we had there were very tasty and felt very much homemade. The selection of cakes is small but they all look great. Our visit was topped by a visit of tiny dog called Bernie from the next door book shop. I don't know how I have never heard of this place but this is a true hidden gem.

We had a really good experience, the staff was really nice and was able to accommodate us even when it was pouring rain. Really good cakes and nice coffee. We will need to go back to try the sandwiches, they looked really good.
L. M.
Food is homemade and very tasty. Don't recommend to go at 12.00 since it is when the cafe is at its busiest and service might be a bit chaotic. Other than that, its a nice little hidden gem which you enter through a bookshop. Very trendy looking. Their French toast special is an absolute must. Coffee is pretty decent too.
A. B.
Cake Cafe was amazing. It has what so many cafes in Dublin lack; a unique twist with its dishes. Sitting outside felt Covid-safe and staff were sensible with masks. Great coffee. Great food. Great brunch. Will be back!
A. H.
We had the granola and the poached eggs with pea guac and both were excellent. Really tasty and fresh. We came back for cake on the same day. The cakes were great too. The only downside is that the place is pretty busy (understandably) so it’s a bit of a wait. But the servers were lovely too.

Amazing gastronomic experience combined with good coffee. We recommend this place. Quality is above the quantity .

TRY THE CHORIZO!
The cake cafe is somewhere that if you didn't know was there, you might never find it. hen you do, your entire day is a little be brighter.
You can get to the cake cafe either by going THROUGH the last bookshop directly on Camden (which is worth a visit in of itself, just to see the resident doggo, Bertie) OR you can take the side road and get there that way as well.
When you enter the courtyard, you will be captivated by the "my secret garden" atmosphere and instantly feel at ease.
You have your choice of either outside tables or inside. Both are lovely, but you have the chance of getting to pet a wonderful dog! This pet friendly place is no strangers to dogs, and provides water for the weary woolly traveling companion that you may find with their human entourage. Clearly, outdoor is the only option.
One day down and situated, the friendly staff will give you a menu, one which includes mimosas, your choice of coffee, or some wine if you're in the mood.
The menu is short but sweet, and gives you a pretty great variety to go through. I asked the waitress what her favourite was, which led to me getting the smashed Avocado on toast. As the meat glutten that I am, I couldn't pass up the chorizo, so I had that added on! BOY WAS THAT THE BEST IDEA EVER.
The food came out pretty quickly, and prepared to perfection. The toast was perfectly cooked, the ingredients were fresh, and the avocado was perfect.
The chorizo was a great addition to add a bit of spice to it, which to me, rounded out the dish perfectly. I'll never not get their chorizo again. IT WAS THAT GOOD.
The flat white was fine as well. To be harsh, I wouldn't say it's the best coffee I've had in Dublin, but it was prepared beautifully, the coffee wasn't burnt, and the coffee to milk ratio for my flat white was on point! So overall, it was great! I'm incredibly snobby and critical when it comes to coffee, so my "fine" is likely very very good for "normal humans".
Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this place. Stunningly perfect food, coupled with great customer service, great atmosphere, great coffee and overall great experience.
My dog and I will definitely be coming here more, and would absolutely recommend this place to others!
M. B.
Nice cafe hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's really pleasant to sit and relax in the artistic courtyard on a sunny day. We enjoyed coffee and cake, both good, only complaint was the size of the coffee cups, a little small. The staff are very friendly.
M. O.
We asked the Cake Cafe for a three tier, chocolate Belgian cake for our wedding in August 2021 and we were delighted with set up, decoration and taste! Many commented it was the nicest wedding cake they ever had! Thanks to Ray and all the team for helping to make the day so special :-) Michelle and Macdara
M. W.
With the current COVID restrictions, we decided we are going to treat ourselves once a week. So our first decision was to order Afternoon Tea from the Cake Cafe. It was an excellent choice. Nice freshly made sandwiches and cakes. Two different teas. To start, prosecco with a strawberry syrup. Overall we were very happy with what we got. Our daughter in particular loved the chocolate brownies. Thanks to the team for a lovely selection of food that brightened up our Saturday afternoon
S. C.
Gorgeous outside area with lots of plants surrounding. Delish food and equally good coffee. Staff very attentive and accommodating to any allergies. The dog resident really adds to charm also!
M. B.
Lovely brunch with interesting tea and coffee options, including a spiced tea and the Bicerin! Lovely eggs in toasted bread with butter and awesome pancakes. Absolutely recommended, but you could have to wait to be seated.

Updated: dropped in for a coffee with partner and child in stroller so sat outside. Coffees first were great, decided to get the chorizo scramble but wanted to share. No issues and the dish was served on two separate plates. A nice touch, and good service as it should be. It was delish. Then for the carrot cake again split and it came with two plates if we wanted to split. Really wanted to just highlight the good service. Hard to find these days. Great work guys.
We were there as the place opened and we had the full café to ourselves. Funny to say the atmosphere was good with no one there, but the music and the sounds of the staff working away getting ready for the day generated a warm cosy feeling.
Food was great, very tasty and large portions. Coffee was offered first thing as we perused the menu always nice to be attended to straight away.
Impressive café with excellent staff and great food and coffee. Can't complain do won't, I'd recommend obviously and we will be back

I've been hearing about this place for some time and today I decided to try it. Unfortunately I've been ignored by the 4 (might have been 5) staff. I've waited at the counter, and waited, and waited...while everyone walked around and joked. I've walked out and still no one said a thing. Even if everyone is busy, you tell the customer you will be with them in a minute (5, 10, 20) you don't ignore them.
Update:
When you manage to get a table the food is great! Second time down this week.
C. F.
Great little cafe that is in a very unique setting. Enter it through a bookshop. Lovely tea, coffee, brunch and cake options. There's a little dog that walks around too.
W. S. M.
The place is kinda hidden at the back of the shop, love the concept ! You're greeted with a green back garden and the café is very cosy. They have a great menu and they serve proper coffee, barista style... And the best part is : the cakes!
D. M.
My mother first brought me here as a teenager through the book store on Camden Street, a wonderful little experience. The food and service is fantastic. All ethically sourced.
L. D.
Really quirky little place- tucked away on a side street so you'd miss it if you didn't know it was there! The staff were really friendly food was delicious and the set up is really nice. I'd definitely go back
T. M.
I am very pleased with the aesthetics of the Cake. Thank you, and it tastes as lovely as it looks.
I give The Cake Cafe Gold Medal🏅 and a royal seal of approval (Queen of my own house 😝)
E. D.
Cakes are not a lie here :) good coffee and food, very beautiful place to enjoy the atmosphere, have a drink and read a book. The book store next door is my favourite thing ever :)
N. E.
Place is hidden gem behind the bookstore. Nice garden, amazing staff. My only problem was the taste of sponge cake. It smelled like eggs that I could not finish it, but jam/cream was nice.

Super cute coffee shop, a little oasis in the heart of the city. I love going through the book shop to get to the coutyard! Great food and coffee

I had randomly read reviews about this place long before I had planned my trip to Dublin, so I decided to have a cup of coffee there. It was worth it, the place is very cozy and the staff really helpful and friendly. My coffee was excellent, I loved it. It is a bit hard to discover it by yourself as a tourist.
A. F.
My family have ordered afternoon tea to be delivered 4 times in the last couple of months. They have been surprise gifts for my parents and other family members. Every one who has received this lovely treat has been absolutely delighted. It is an amazing experience, the quality and variety of good is wonderful so beautifully prepared and presented.
The staff are so prompt, courteous and helpful when dealing with queries.
The delivery staff are warm and friendly and there is a sense that all are striving to make this treat as perfect an experience as possible.
I would recommend the Cake Café completely
G. D.
The cakes and drinks were lovely. Very nice flavours, good coffee and delightful cocktails. Very unique little spot clean and bustling even on a cold october day. Outdoor seating and small indoor space. The only downside to the whole place is that service was slow even though we only ordered cakes which were already on the counters. Coffee took 30 mins to arrive but Maybe it was just a busy day. The staff were lovely
A. M.
Nice cozy cafe tucked out of the way. Great place to grab brunch, some sweets or just a cup of loose leaf tea. The outside seating has an area that's sheltered from the elements by a leafy overhang with an artsy wall
M. L.
Cosy and bright place, friendly staff. Gluten free carrot cake available as well. Coffee okay. Has a second hand book store beside it, so good for a browse as well.
Liked the aprons and stuff too.
A. C.
Ordered the valentines lunch for Valentine’s Day - all of the food was delicious! Great balance between sweet and savoury - 4 savoury and 4 sweet plus side salad. We loved the salad dressing! Great communication from the owners after I ordered online with a personal email to confirm estimated timings etc. The attention to detail on the themed biscuits and cupcakes was so lovely. Would order again and recommend for a special occasion!
V. V.
Super kind. They did their best to accommodate my dietary requirements, always with a smile. Thanks.
P. B.
Take one look at that plate of beans on toast and tell me you wouldn't lap it up like a cat with a saucer of cream. Great food, very friendly staff. Highly recommend The Cake Cafe!
R. K.
I have ordered two treat boxes from the Cake Cafe - the 'Love Lunch' in February and an Afternion Tea this month. We really enjoyed the food, taking our time to savour the different elements... I would 100% recommend their boxes for your next special occasion or the next time you just need something to look forward to.
L.
I know that delivery isn't the best way to get well presented food. But, my friend the birthday boy of the day was so happy to get his healthy lunch today with a tasty squeezed lemonade. So, thank you so much for your service, quick reply on instagram and great energy. I will give you a visit for sure. ;) Thanks again!
A. L.
We enjoyed a great coffee and a very delicious breakfast at this beautiful and hidden place. I can highly recommend this cafe!
H. c. o.
Thanks for the fantastic catering for our daughter and her friends communion on Saturday. The main course & breads were delicious and the cake was a masterpiece! Highly recommended for all your catering needs. 5 stars!
A. M.
Hidden at the back of the Daintree stationary store - this place is a hidden gem full of great baked treats and tea! The espresso and walnut cake is a particular treat.
D. C.
Thank you Cake Cafe for the delivery of Afternoon Tea you made for me recently. Ordering it online was made so simple to do and the order was delivered within the time you said it would be delivered. I couldn't praise your attention to customer care highly enough. But, best of all was the delicious selection of goodies that were in the Afternoon Tea order. We always love your products, so to have them delivered during this awful lockdown, was an special extra treat. I would absolutely recommend your bakery and especially the Afternoon Tea. It's a 10 out of 10 from me.
M. W.
Cakes are amaaaazing, great atmosphere and top service … a rare gem 🤌🏼
L.
Had a lovely walk-in brunch here in the garden. Food and coffee was delicious and service was great. Will definitely be returned ASAP!
A. d. C.
Hidden jewel within city center, surrounded by plants and wood. Awesome place for a brunch or coffee.
L. H.
Arranged the Afternoon Tea as a treat for my parents - they were delighted & very impressed with the presentation & selection of sweet & savoury items. The delivery was also prompt and the team were very helpful replying to emails. Would definitely recommend
M. W.
The fresh tea was a composition consistent of mint and a green tea, what should I say it was a very good tea and the combination with the raspberry sponge cake made my afternoon perfect
p. v.
I recently ordered the afternoon tea for myself and my girlfriend. We both really enjoyed it. Presentation was beautiful and flavours were delicious. I would highly recommend.
C. B.
A delicious surprise for my wife! When you can't go to Afternoon Tea, enjoy Afternoon Tea coming to you :-) The food was delicious, my wife assures me the tea was hard to beat, and the presentation was top notch. Highly recommended treat!
S. O.
Ordered a birthday cake for my mother's 70th to be delivered on her birthday since due to covid/lockdown we couldn't be together. she loved the surprise and the cake itself. The staff was amazing to deal with, answering all my questions and concerns and made some great suggestions on what would work and what wouldn't for the situation. Shout out to Jenny who I talked to on the phone who was professional and sweet (like her cakes :P )! 5star would recommend and my mum even asked where did we get the cake as she wants to order one for her friends birthday as surprise like we did for her!
R.
Thanks for being so accommodating with the dairy/gluten tweaks to your lovely afternoon tea. Highly recommend the home delivery of afternoon tea as a surprise for anyone who needs a lockdown boost! Great quality food and service.
B. “. L.
Super friendly staff and delicious food. The flat white was perfect!
p. s.
So good! My bf and I went there for a little bday celebration and had an amazing experience! The food is delicious and the staff is really nice and friendly. 10/10!

I used to live in Stoneybatter and I was a regular visitor of SLICE, the Northside "cousin" of Cake Café. Then one day I decided to pay a visit to the original one, so I've been to the Cake Café, in the pre-covid era. I wasn't disappointed, cosy place and delicious coffee and cakes.
Last week I wanted to surprise my partner for her birthday and got an afternoon tea at home from The Cake Café. Impeccable service, the delivery arrived on time together with some kind words and a smile: "Enjoy your afternoon tea!". I chose to include a cake stand and that was totally worth it! A feast for the eyes and the mouth. Highly recommended.
A. M. D.
I bought an afternoon tea for a friend and her family. She wasn’t able to post any pictures because it was demolished! Nothing better than to give a gift that someone enjoys. Thank you Cake Cafe.
S. O.
I ordered an afternoon tea to be delivered and it was excellent. Nice amount of food and really good quality. Cathy was very helpful and was happy to send me different teas from the standard ones that they send.
A. R.
Ahhhhh what a treat. I ordered afternoon tea for myself and my mam. Its was absolutely delicious. The attention to detail was incredible. Have already organised one for my birthday.
m. f.
Brilliant afternoon tea delivered at home, including prosecco cocktail!
It was really a lovely treat for a lockdown birthday, and they managed to make everything gluten free!
It's a shame the weather isn't so good for picnics anymore, because I want a picnic basket!
T. W.
Great brunch, very delicious cake and tastiest hot chocolate I've ever had. :-)
A. H.
Had sister's 30 there and was so yummy! The staff were so accommodating and we had a great day celebrating!
E. L.
We had a family wedding here and I can't thank the gang there enough. Extremely helpful, friendly and everything was too notch. Food was amazing as we had expected but amazing food only gets a place so far- the staff, the atmosphere, everything about the place cane together for a glorious location. I can't sing praises enough for this as a great place to grab lunch, get a cake made and now host a wedding. 17/10🥳
M. T.
Really hidden small place with good coffee and cakes. I bet it must be lovely in a nice day cause there's a small outdoor garden and tables outside.I visited in November and staff was constantly opening the doors and despite our complains they left doors open a lot and it was freezing inside. I wouldn't recommend food here- it's soaked in oil , my egg's whites weren't done and just wasn't tasty. We were a difficult group of 7, I get it, but staff wasn't too welcoming and every order was such a problem for them! So I have very mixed feeling, though I must admit cakes were excellent!
R. R.
I ordered an afternoon tea for my niece for her birthday and would like to say to Ray & team it was fabulous....In these crazy times when we can’t visit anyone this is a fantastic treat ...It was delivered at 12.30 perfect time was packaged perfectly and the cake stand was an excellent touch ...she was blown away with the selection..she sent me photos and I’m delighted .. was definitely value for money ...could not recommend this business high enough ...keep up the good work ...
R. M. G.
Lovely little place in the secluded streets of Dublin. Beautiful little courtyard for having a coffee or some lunch with friends or to sit alone and draw. Such a find!
O. S.
Quirky little cafe with a big menu and an amazing cake selection which changes daily! Very friendly staff and lovely outside seating area. Will absolutely be back again!
S. K.
Fantastic cakes, lovely coffees, great little hideaway which makes you feel like you aren't in the city anymore. The outside seating area is lovely, surrounded by lots of plants and even the toilets are well decorated and clean. The staff are lovely and helpful too.
T.
Lovely cafe with nice staff and tasty scrambled eggs.
S. D.
Small but lovely café located in a backyard. Great coffee, but also good tea options and Kombucha. Cake is very tasty. Perfect in the sunnier season when you can sit outside. Never disappoints.
M. S.
This is my favourite café in the city centre. Tradition dictates that you are taken there by a friend, because it is so hidden you would not spot it otherwise. The courtyard is a dream! There is lovely art on its walls. You can reach it by walking through an amazing second-hand bookshop where a crazy little dog called Bertie is going to try to follow you out. The food is simple and delicious, the staff as friendly as you could hope for ... I really can't find fault. Love the place :)
J. Y.
Amazing little hidden off Camden Street you access through the back door of an old bookshop. An experience by itself. The setting is very unusual with a lovely terrasse made up of colourful and artistically laid junk objects complemented with mature bamboos.
The tiny indoor is in the same spirit, a resurgence of Woodstock era that is immediately welcoming. I tasted the soup of the day which was really tasty and delicious and served with 2 generous home baked bread slices.
Really enjoyable experience. You really feel like you could start you day here with a breakfast and stretching up late into the afternoon.
This little gem deserves to remain secret and unspoiled.
A. G.
Cozy place, nice staff, ok cakes. It is good if you want to enjoy in a quiet and relaxing place hidden in the middle of city centre.
S. Y.
It’s such a gorgeous spot and a real shame that you can’t depend on it for lunch time. The coffee is nice but when it’s busy I don’t recommend it. I’ve left twice- today being the second day, try as I did to manage my own service. I went to the till and a staff member was telling the woman in front of me at the till to sit down as it was a table service and handed her a menu. I grabbed a menu also and made sure she saw me and sat at my table. No one came for 5 minutes so I went up to order. A staff member stopped me on my way and took my order. I sat down for a further 15 minutes and still nothing came. The girls who had been at their table since before me were only getting their orders taken by the girl who took mine. I gave it 5 more minutes then left. Had to grab a quick sandwich for my lunch.
T. A.
Cosy small cafe in hidden place. You should enter through bookshop in the main street. It looks like family business. They have very delicious homemade cake . It was huge piece , so be aware when you order. The staff are welcoming and helpful. They have additional out seating area.
p. o. d.
Picked up afternoon tea for my wife's 50th birthday today and would highly recommend The Cake Cafe. Thank you for a wonderful experience
r. s.
..great fun with Ray for a baking class...lots of tricks and recipes...can't wait to eat these treats... Hopefully will get a more challenging class next time..
L. T.
Service was fantastic and the food was yummy. Tucked away in a little alley and accessible via the old bookshop, what a gem!
G. N. R.
One of my favourite breakfast/brunches places in Dublin. I love the cozy locatiom, the staff is super nice and the food is delicious . I went there many times and tried both savoury and cakes. You can sit outside if you are lucky enough to find a sunny day. I suggest to try their chocolate fudge cake.
C. W.
Hidden gem. Great food and coffee.
H.
Deadly little cafe. Great service and great food. Vegan soy mushroom and hummus on toast is unreal 🐒
J. D.
The most delicious, well crafted cakes. Also lovely people to deal with. Would highly recommend
F. H.
Nestled away at the back of a book shop it off Camden street, some nice cake and quirky crockery
A. C.
Ordered a small chocate belgian cake for a birthday party. Single layered and enough to feed 10 people easy. Was nice and simple the only thing was we found the chocolate ganache covering the cake was too thick. Ordering and team were all easy to deal with.
K. V.
This is one of my favourite places in Dublin, everything is perfect. The coffee is really good, the food is amazing, the place is beautiful and cosy, the service is great. Whenever I'm around the area, The Cake Cafe is my number one option.
N. C.
Really pretty, hidden away cafe, worth seeking out. The homemade lemonade is delicious as are the beans on toast with sausage. The smoked chicken is really good also, the homemade bread is great. Great selection of tea also.
J. F.
It is a cute coffee place but quality of food is not amazing.
L. M.
Ordered a vegan chocolate cake to be delivered for my boyfriends birthday and it was delivered early which suited even better. Service was very friendly. The cake was really tasty too, only complaint is that it was far too dry. There was no layer of ganache in the middle and a thin layer on top. I ended up going home and whipping up my own ganache just to eat it which was disappointing.
J. K.
Such a cute place! Lovely service and food!
S. R.
I find it hard to repeat the "best hidden gem in Dublin" line when it's got so many reviews, but it is a really fantastic cafe. Small, quaint, and quiet enough as long as you're not there at lunch time. Absolutely delicious fresh food too!
E. G.
Very cute hidden place, delicious homemade scone, friendly staff and a super nice setting with a terrace to enjoy the sun when irish summer comes up. The perfect setting for a lazy breakfast or brunch. I just hope it won't get too famous as seats are limited and the place is charming because it's... hidden. ;)
R. F.
Great little breakfast/brunch spot. Hidden away but great find. Awesome ambience
F. M.
This place is an oasis of charm hidden on the other side of a paper shop.
The food is gorgeous, if a tiny bit pricey (but everything is made from scratch so it makes sense).
The service can be a little haphazard, which makes going in at lunchtime occasionally tricky.
Otherwise it's fab and the beans on toast are amazing.
v. a.
Loved Cake Cafe since it opened now many years ago - it's a little hide away in funky courtyard, it's friendly and welcoming. But I was a bit disappointed in recent visits, because coffee came nearly cold and standards of cleanliness a bit slipped down.
J. H.
Simply amazing little cake shop hidden away in what initially appears to be an alley. The service is shockingly friendly and happy - they truly love what they do - which is highly lacking throughout most of Europe. If in Dublin, go out of your way to stop by for a slice of heaven. Highly suggest trying a scone... I had to walk away with all they had left for the day!
A. B.
Been around a while. Hidden away. Lovely sunny sitting out areas with shade options too. Best in summer. Inside 2 sitter tables are close together. Not great for large groups as it's a small space. Tasty lunch n brunch options e.g. soup, sandwich, hot pot. Where it excels is with cakes. Slice in Stoneybatter is sister cafe. Colourful baking book available. 😁
B. M.
Lovely place to have a quick breakfast, meal, snack, or simply have a cup of coffee whileenjoying thier variety of cakes and pasteries. The baking smell will hit you with delight as you walk in to their place. It is hard to find without google maps or a local guide, but totally worth the search.
A. K.
Ordered takeaway smoked chicken sandwich and coffee...both tasted really good...service friendly...
B. H.
Is quaint the right word? Tucked away just off Camden St this is a gorgeous little bakery / cafe that focuses on quality home-cooking. The outdoor seating area is awesome, bamboo, sheltered area, mis-matched crockery (on purpose), and delicious smells wafting out from the kitchen. I'm a big fan of the breakfast menu -- love the baked beans. Even if I end up heaping loads of extra salt on.
C. O. H.
I just love this place, a hidden gem in the heart of the city. Love the mish mash of cups and saucers, the yummy treats and the nice outdoor area for sunny days. I only wish it was a bit bigger, but being so small is part of its charm. You have to visit just to see their bathroom (I'll say no more until you try it out :0)
A. O.
Quirky and secluded, Cake cafe is one of the few places in Dublin to bake from scratch... and they do it well.
It tends to be quite full so I would not go there if I was in a hurry but then, why would you hurry tea and cakes?
I. F.
An adorable and succinct, cafe offer not just the expected cake, but also a slew of daily specials comprising full meals. With a list of "canonical cafe" coffee/tea drinks available. Free, mildly decent Wifi. Seemingly, intentionally a little hard to find.
S. C.
Afternoon Tea at Home! Lovely experience, prompt delivery. We enjoyed it very much!
Thank you :)
T. F.
A hidden gem just off Camden Street in Dublin. Vegetarian and vegan options available on the menu. Beautiful courtyard urban garden with enough space for a baby stroller.
D. F.
Great little place. Excellent food and voice and great atmosphere. The homemade beans on toast are divine. It's small so avoid the lunchtime rush or you may not get a table.
P. R.
A little hidden gem at the moment as the outside seating is still in use. Good food, excellent staff and it's little oasis of calm which is very welcome
J. M.
Ordered a birthday cake in the Cake Cafe in April 2021 and can't speak highly enough of the cake and customer service. We will be back!
L. A.
This have been my favorite coffee shop for many years
S. O.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. A cafe that serves quality cakes and coffee hidden away behind a paper shop. The garden is nice and quiet and the staff are great. Often forgotten about as it's off the street but well worth remembering.
P. L.
Great spot for a specialty coffee! The food is very good and fresh made.
P.
Wonderful little find at the back of a book shop. I had a delicious soy chai latte here. The café has a quirky atmosphere and the staff is really friendly!
E. B.
This place is a cute little cake that does simple cakes well. Off beat little space behind a wedding shop.
The lemon Polenta cake is great. The service is a bit gruff.
g. s.
Very special and different place with a relaxed atmosphere, a hidden gem. Great food, home made cakes, and lovely service. don't miss the toilettes, it's spectacular!
E. B.
Arrived just before closing to grab a brownie, and a pear slice -- they were really good. The whole cafe has a nice ambience, even when they're closing up shop!
G. F.
Two entrances into the little cafe one on Camden Street two on pleasant Lane all overall a very good standard of food food beverages and very hygienic as well staff very very friendly too
J. G.
Why 3/3 in all categories? The Cafe is in weird place, weird street on weird yard with weird seatings and stuff... This all works together to make you say "WOW" once you enter! The service is like you mom after not seeing you for a long time, the food compared to other sweets feels like switching from Dacia to Bentley and the prices are just right... #dublinmustgo
R. B.
This place is a hidden gem! Lovely sandwiches, coffee, and very friendly staff! They offered surrounding restaurant recommendations and were super friendly!!! Highly recommend this place!
M. S.
Cake café is a very cute small café with great food, cake and tea. Very tucked away in a backyard, nice space outside if the weather is nice and very relaxing atmosphere.
M. Ö.
Hidden gem. Good cakes but quite small portion and not much to choose from. Nice out door seats and friendly staff
J. K.
Fantastic place for a cup of tea, coffee, and a bite to eat. Don't let the fact that it's tucked away stop you from making a stop for an afternoon tea, or just a scone and coffee.
D. R.
Absolutely delighted I found this little hidden treasure..sat outside and was so cosy..lovely toast and coffee..straight through to a little bookshop after..heaven..can't wait to go back again!!
G. Ó. M.
Great selection on th Brunch menu and happy with everything we ordered. Quite a bit of a wait for the order and food to arrive once seated.
L. M.
Nice atmosphere and ambience for brunch. Bacon was way way too smoked, inedible had to give to the cafe dog.

ON FIRST VISITING THE CAKE CAFE I LOVED THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE YOU CAN ENTER BY THE STATIONARY SHOP ENTRANCE ON CAMDEN STREET OR YOU CAN STEP INTO ITS SECRET MINI GARDEN AT GRANTHAM ST. LANE ITS A GIRLY FEMININE SPOT GOOD FOR COFFEES AND CAKES OR A GLASS OF WINE THE CAKE CAFE DOES A FAIR LITTLE MORE IN THE WAY OF SMALL LUNCHES WITH SOUPS AND SALADS HOWEVER THE PLACE NEEDS GOOD WEATHER ON ITS SIDE AS THE INDOOR.SECTION HAS ONLY A SHORT SUPPLY OF SEATING
J. A.
Girlfriend and I got brunch and coffee and were so impressed! Also one of the coolest vibes for a shop design I know in Dublin.

It has a lovely courtyard, very hipster, food is never a reason why I go there, only the outdoors seating area is worth going for.

Liked it a lot. Staff are very nice and the atmosphere is lovely. The food was a bit overpriced and the salad was sadly just spinach.

Lovely cafe with friendly staff in the most beautiful hidden location behind a The Last Bookshop.
I had the Potato Farl which was up there as one of the tastiest meals I’ve had!, all the different flavours worked so well together in a scrumptious taste explosion!
The cake slice I got for my 5 year old was a little overpriced at €4.80 but it seems that this is becoming the norm everywhere?

Great spot in Dublin
D. F.
Me llené. El capuccino riquísimo además.

(Translated) Nice little place for a tea break. A stone's throw from the center but a little hidden from the eyes of tourists, with a colorful outdoor space and an interior space, which even if smaller is still welcoming. Excellent typical cakes, especially the Carrot Cake, accompanied by classic teas or more particular herbal teas.

(Translated) Cute (very!) Small eatery in Dublin - there are fantastic homemade cakes and also "hand-made". In summer there are also outside seats. Without GoogleMaps I would not have found it - absolutely hidden in a backyard in an inconspicuous side street enswert Recommended the cake tasting plate, both in terms of quantity and in general 😉

(Translated) While in Dublin on a business trip, we agreed that we discovered this site, because that, looking at what Yelp recommended and ... often right! It is an adorable cafeteria that also serves food, some dishes on the menu and what they have that day as an off-the-plate dish.
We were going four people and each one asked for a different thing, each one richer. In my case I ordered a delicious sandwich with artisan bread that was scrumptious, although my tablemates also said they had got it right. Drinking ginger beer.
And with that name we couldn't leave without trying the cakes, so we asked for two to share and they were both delicious. I don't remember the final price, but without being cheap it wasn't crazy either.

(Translated) Good organic product, seemingly simple dishes but with the perfect mix, good service and a place with a bohemian / retro / exotic touch super cozy. Besides very good price, to be in Dublin.
We tried the cream of the day (zucchini and celery), exquisite toasts with whole-grain cereal bread (typical Irish) with poached tomatoes, feta cheese, canon and oil. My companions ordered toast also: with braised turkey, avocado, canons and a sauce very soft, and, on the other hand, with egg, pickles, canons and pepper mayonnaise sauce ... We drank the lemonade, very good. For dessert, incredible, lemon cake and another Belgian chocolate.
Magnificent experience
(Original)
