This is a lovely cafe located in the Dublin mountain.
I’ve been there so many times and I keep bringing more and more friends over.
They have amazing food, delicious coffee and the atmosphere is great.
The staff are very efficient and friendly, and the price is very affordable.
I always stop by before going on a hike around the Wicklow/Dublin mountains.
Also a great place for a Date. Highly recommend- visit, but be prepared to fall in love with the place.

I mean, simply WOW. it's a place that sells sheds but uniquely a cafe with delicious breakfast and probably the best scones I've had! Get out of the city and try this spot, you won't be dissapointed!

Gorgeous place!
Firstly - we were welcomed very nice on the parking as one person constantly helps arranging the cars and maintaining the order.
Secondly - the place looks very lovely and they serve variety of food and coffee/sweet drinks. Their service was again great!
We came here after a long walk, craving for some lunch and coffee and we left that place very pleased. Sandwiches , soup and desserts were very tasty.
Please stop by if you have a chance and treat yourself with some nice coffee, sandwich, cake or all together.
Good work everyone at Timbertrove Cafe!

Great cafe right in the heart of mountains. We loved the setting and the individual sheds to have a cuppa and fantastic baked goods. Very friendly staff and great quality food. Put this on your list, you won't be disappointed!

Wow, what a great spot. We went here today after a walk up (and geocaching) to the Hell Fire Club. Their outdoor seating is excellent, you can sit in little sheds and enjoy some fantastic sweet or savory treats. Their coffee and Chai Lattes are great and we also had a raspberry and white chocolate scone each. Very reasonable price and excellent service and food. Will be back.

I love cafés that serve really good, unpretentious food at reasonable prices. Add in great service and I'll be returning often. This is Timbertrove in a nutshell. The ham and cheese croissant is excellent, and the scones are the best I've had. Very nice coffee. Go for a walk up to the Hellfire Club after (two minutes away). Love this place.
J.
Beautiful Warm and Cozy atmosphere very safe and sheltered. Lovely tables and environment. Great Bins as recycling and Compostable Cups. Very Environmentally friendly. Great Timbertrove and Friendly Staff. Great Sandwich for €5.95 with lots of stuff In it. The Chicken Cajun is also a great option to consider. Lovely and high quality ingredients Will be returning

I have rated this great place before Covid19. I went this weekend & was thrilled to find they had created all kinds of great places outdoors to have a coffee, yummy huge scones, great for sharing, and sandwiches. It is a gorgeous stop on a drive to the mountains. The staff are very efficient and friendly.
J. M. C.
Tucked away in the Dublin mountains, but yet only a 10 minute drive from Tallaght, the Timbertrove Cafe is a a little treat. Perfect to stop off in for a coffee or a snack after a trek around the Hellfire Club. Relaxed, family friendly, with warm and welcoming staff. It never cools, so be prepared to queue if you're sitting in at peak hours. If you can grab a seat next to the window you'll have a view of Dublin city to go with your cuppa. Highly recommend this place to anyone.
L. Y.
Tried here for coffee today due to high ratings on Google and I was not disappointed! Gorgeous setting and building, lovely staff and a 10/10 large oat latte. Extra marks awarded for the eco-friendly cups and lids.

Wow loved this place as I don't live very far away beautiful spot for the odd bit of lunch really peaceful
D. K.
Brilliant coffee shop cafe located at the foothills of the mountains. Beautiful views out towards the Irish sea on a clear day. Very reasonable priced too. My only gripe would be avoid the ham and cheese toastie unless you like stale re toasted bread with the smallest slice of ham and just as small slice of cheese. The fresh baked muffins are delicious my fav been the pear and almond. The other door huts and tables are great and if it's raining or too cold the barn is nice and roomy.
B. M.
Great place to go with friends or family. The menu is very complete, food is served pretty fast and is absolutely yummy. The surroundings are stunning.
S. O.
Lovely café and shop. Plenty of covid precautions in place, felt very comfortable there. Food was delicious, I had the Timbertrove ham special and really enjoyed. Everyone else enjoyed their food to. Would be great if there was a bit more variety in the kids specials. Staff were friendly and efficient. Some nice items for sale in the shop. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Hopefully will get to try one of the cakes next time.
G. H.
Great food and cosy as well as a fab view
M. D. K.
Great selection of lunches here. In our cabin the bin was almost full with cups. Could do with a sanitising wipedown of the tables. Fabulous wooden garden items.
A. C.
Adorable little cafe with a surprisingly large selection of food and drinks. Adorable aesthetic with a lovely view of the Dublin Mountains. Phenomonal for a weekend day trip
V. B.
Good takeaway coffee and pastry. There are sitting places outside the cafe in several of their own custom sheds.
s. f.
Very pleasant atmosphere, birthday treat so had pancakes, bacon and maple syrup. Blueberry scone was devoured and coffee's delicious. Good value and restrictions adhered to, one toilet but very clean and hot water. Will be back
J. B.
Excellent for gluten free! Beautiful surroundings in the Dublin mountains with plenty of parking. I was able to get a lovely gluten free sandwich and brownie, food was excellent quality and in a beautiful setting. The Covid protocols were also really good and I felt totally comfortable here. We'll be new regulars!
J. B.
Lovely food & not that expensive. Didn't get a welcoming feeling off the place. Nice stop off spot
m. t.
A gem, I especially recommend the rhubarb crumble. All the food on the menu is delicious. A great find.
M. D.
Delicious, homemade food. Outdoor dining in garden sheds, so you don't get wet.
S. F.
Lovely place for a quiet coffee in you own private shed..... so cute 😍
D. S.
Tasty food, good service and a lovely setting.
J. S.
Always good food. I am not a coffee drinker but my wife is not a fan
Z.
Lovely cafe in a beautiful setting, overlooking the Dublin Mountains. The full Irish is very good; nice coffee and scones. They also do lots of other home baked cakes etc. The staff are friendly, the food is good and it's a really nice atmosphere
K. R.
Nice place, but we expect true homemade lemoniade no Juice and water. Cake was really good.
U. J.
Scones are delicious. Staff very friendly. Nice place for a break away from city bustle.. Can be very busy at times with queues for takeaway service at peak times.
G. O. C.
Great food and fast service beutiful setting
D. S.
Absolutely amazing food atmosphere and staff. Thank you for the divine pancakes!!
M. D.
Cool place. Totally different great coffee. Love it. 👍👍
M. M.
This used to be a special spot nowadays it’s got very commercial and customer service isn’t the same. Food is nice and reasonably priced. Car parking too is good
J. Ż.
Outdoor / take away only for the time being. However the cakes we had were really worth the sin.
L. K.
Finders licking good place, nice staff too!
F. B.
An Oasis in a pandemic desert - really enjoyed a birthday coffee and muffin - simple pleasures are the best - location , parking, service and safety excellent - thank you.

I really love this cafe and have done for so many years. Food is lovely and same as their coffee. Only problem was the lady serving you was extremely rude. This isn't usually the case were staff are rude up there. I do think this lady is new.
d. m.
This is a great place for a coffee and scone after a walk to the Hellfire club or a stroll through Masseys wood. Great range of hot and cold food that's very tasty. The staff are friendly and welcoming. When the cafe is busy there will be a queue , but it's worth waiting for. When out walking I love to pop in for lunch or just a coffee and mixed fruit scone.
J. D.
I love this place. Great spot to stop off for coffee and a cake when cycling or hiking or walking my brothers dog :)
They do a good range of reasonably priced snack and lunches and really good gluten free bread.
Great view over Dublin also
N. E.
Nice stop before taking a drive through the Wicklow mountains.
G. M.
Have lived on the doorstep of this place all my life and only visited for the first time today.......lovely little spot on the mountain ....breakfast was different.........not a lot on it but was really tasty and it was not your generic breakfast you get in most places......the large breakfast basically had 2 sausages bacon beans and 1 egg and toast.......no pudding no mushrooms but it wasn't an issue it was lovely as it was........highly recommended......get up early it gets busy
T. O.
Food, service ,prices and atmosphere great. Good bet all round
I. H.
Lovely lunch here today with great friends 😀 nestled in our Dublin mountains ⛰.
G. L.
Best scones in Ireland. Great coffee too!! Breakfast finishes early and it gets busy so could do with more seats. But ill keep coming back for the coffee and scones.... oh great view too!!
S. L.
Delighted to have found this little treasure. Odd combination of cute cafe and woodwork shop works well, picked up a beautiful rhubarb tart and a few plants for the garden!
r. s.
Lovely hot chocolate and cake
A. H.
Lovely café in the Dublin mountains. A nice little retreat with gorgeous views and fantastic food and drink. Also a nice place to recover after hiking inherently hellfire club on a cold day.
Overall, a great place to visit if you're in the area, or even for its own right
F. S.
Enjoyed the coffee in the outdoor covered seating.
a. h.
Fabulous great place for lunch
J. O.
Really nice cafe in a great location. Just a short stroll from both the Hellfire club and Massey's wood walks, you can get some really nice good and a good selection of sweet treats. Decent coffee and a great view if you get a window seat
S. B.
We went here a lot and always enjoyed the food, sandwiches, panini 's etc. They must have changed their supplier as the paninis we ordered today were just line a French stick cut in two.
The chicken filling in mine was good but the vegetarian one was very lean on vegetables mostly spinish. Our 3 year old grandson had soup and sandwich. The bread was so hard I had to cut off the crusts, perhaps use a soft type bread for kids meal, soup was delicious.
Has this place changed ownership
R. L. F.
We've been visiting here for years! So cosy, great service, wholesome food!
E. S.
Nice spot for coffee and treats... Scones and coffee are 👌. Be careful to get in the right queue when it's busy. To the left in the cafe is to stay and eat inside... To the right of take away only. The prices are different.
D. C.
Nice place but stay away from the bacon and sausage roll, it's disgusting!
J. K.
Great cafe to visit after a forest or mountain walk. The sandwiches are legendary
A. H.
Great food, vegan options too, Staff very efficient in these challenging times
K. O.
Everytime I go the staff are so friendly. Deliciously wholesome food and great takeaway options too. Nice little outside play area for little ones after you've eaten. Really love the shop too.
J. W.
I do like this place but it's small & gets very crowded and can be a bit of a squash & a squeeze. Soups are home made & are delicious. Also serve a good cuppa coffee & toasties. Would recommend.
R. P.
We had a full vegan meal at Timbertrove last week. A delicious sweet potato soup, then a sandwich and a baked potato with salad and for dessert a wonderful red berries crumble with vegan ice cream. The place is also really cute and we will definitely go back.
N. D.
This place is worth the visit, I always bring friends here when they are visiting Ireland from abroad and then take them on a walk up to the Hellfire Club. The staff are very helpful, the chai late is delish and they hav a good menu. It's a little bit pricey imo, last week we had a hot choc, chai late n 1 rocky Road n it was €10,which to me is city centre prices but such a cute store and definitely worth a visit.
N. D.
This place is a gem. Take a walk in Masseys estate or the hellfire club then treat yourself to coffee and cake in the timbertrove. Staff are very warm and friendly. There is an amazing view of the Dublin mountains. Personally I love the berry scone its fantastic. You can keep your coffee chains, give me a rustic, charming, independent coffee shop any day. Visit the timbertrove, you won't be disappointed.
B. H.
Fantastic food and great service
F. G.
Cozy mountain cafe, with nice views. Great place to go after a walk to the Hillfire Club. The food is simple and nice. It also has a cute little shop with things for the home and garden.
C. D.
My favourite place to go with my husband and kids. My mam and dad love the place too. The views are amazing and the food and coffee are 2nd to none.
T. H.
I love the location because there is a fabulous panoramic view of the Dublin mountains from the back of the cafe, and the food is delicious very competitively priced and good service with a great atmosphere.
A. H.
Brilliant cafe to relax and have the most delicious banoffee pie in Ireland. As of my opinion 😋😋😋
A. M.
Fantastic food and coffee
S. R.
I must say saturday was the first time I was in this place,i was surprised that it was a fairly spacious place, the staff in the wood section where very helpful so was the personnel in the shop where I got some advise re material to use for making gates, i also purchased hinges at a very good price, I'll be back to buy the material for the gates.
P. W.
Lots of sheds, wood stores and other wooden goodies outside and in the showroom. Good coffee, hot chocolate, gingerbread men and scones. Soup and sandwiches also available. It's a popular spot.
P. P.
Fantastic place and very relaxing family atmosphere. They are making garden sheds to order. There is an open display area to explore their projects
K. D.

B. W.
Coffee and food very good. Traffic getting in and out manic at 1.15. People coming in couldn't let people out so nothing was moving until a couple of intelligent people started getting cars to back up, etc.
J. L.
Good coffee and great service. Nice selection of cakes and cookies.
D. c.
Great little hidden gem, strolling around the shop with all those great plaques. Great views over Dublin and delicious cake.

Nice coffee shop, food is mainly sandwiches served on awful bread (if you can't cut the bread with the knife they give you, that's a problem)
