Me and my husband ordered flat whites, however, those were not flat whites, but rather lattes: no taste of coffee detected as there was too much milk (we had non-dairy alternatives) and the volume was simply too big for a flat white. A flat white is supposed to be around 160ml, but the 250 cups that we got were full to the brim. The primary flavour I expect to taste in a flat white is coffee, not milk. Ended up throwing almost the full cup away, with Costa coffees not being cheap at all this turned out to be quite a wasteful experience. My husband said that he did get a good cup of coffee in this venue back in the day, so it looked like it was barista dependent. Would be great to bring everybody to the same level of coffee making to avoid customer disappointment and negative comments.

It is my four year old's favourite spot for a treat after a hard day at preschool so we frequent it quite a bit. It is a lovely, comfortable atmosphere attached to the bookshop and on the river. It is, however, not my favourite tasting coffee, although he loves their babychinno
