Reviews of Linnalla Irish Ice Cream
Really hard to find locally produced ice cream. All the supermarkets sell is mass produced stuff from the multi-nationals.
No comparison with the wonderful quality home produced ice cream available here.
Worth driving there to taste this great ice 🍨
Lovely spot along the Flaggy Shore walk with delicious & unique ice cream choices & lovely views. Great for kids too, with a playground out front, and for dogs, with water bowls.
A family business serving the most delightful home made ice cream. Located by the sea with fabulous walking trails at their door step
Great ice cream stop, we opted to skip scones & tea that day, very pleased we did!
Sat outside and enjoyed the sun and clouds
Best ice cream in the area! Always fresh and delicious. Natural and organic ingredients.
This ice cream was fresh and delicious and perfectly located if you are doing the Flaggy shore loop. I just had ice cream but the other desserts and snacks looked delicious.
Nice ice cream, enjoyable setting to eat it. There's a big, friendly, fluffy dog that wants to play fetch too. It ignored literally everything except the tennis ball.
Best ice cream! Thank you so much Sinéad O'Dea and Rachel Daly for looking after us so well. Sending much love your way from Charlotte and me xx ❤️
This is a really well-run little cafe which serves gorgeous homemade ice-cream in cones, milkshakes, sundaes etc. There are picnic tables at the back of the cafe with the most amazing view of Galway bay, as well as a little playground for kids. If I could award more than 5 stars, I would!
Food selection is very basic but you can get a tea/coffee and a sweet treat served by a friendly member of staff in a clean environment. Enclosed playground for little people and the view on its own deserves 5 stars
Nice place to finish flaggy shore walk :) Only one and original place like this one in co.clare or maybe in the world :)
Nice ice cream and area. Ice cream is expensive and the staff weren't very friendly.
Delicious, homemade ice cream. Right on their farm
Europe's most westerly ice cream parlour is a special place with fabulous views and amazing ice cream, coffee and cakes.
There's plenty of seating both inside and out and a car park out front.
The Cafe also doubles as a Tourist information centre. There are clean and tidy toilets.
It was great just to sit and watch the sea and look for seals and porpoises, which decided to go somewhere else today.
Lovely ice cream. There is seating outside. Prices are a bit high. But worth the visit
Found this place by accident and pulled in. Very nice place, good for kids because it has a little playground too and ice cream was delicious 🙂
Tasty ice-cream but small portion sizes and a bit pricey. The cafe was very basic but the lady was quite friendly, although not necessarily kid friendly. The nearby Flaggy Shore walk and the views of the wild Atlantic and the Burren are worth the visit alone. Beautiful place.
The best ice cream parlour around! Serving the famous ice cream with scenic views of the Burren mountains and the scenic, with Galway in the farther view, this is an amazing place to be in. Relax and fully enjoy your time in the peninsula!
Amazing ice cream
we were driving through the Burren two weeks ago, very nice break from the drive from Connemara to the cliffs. the ice cream is good but something about a little shop across the road from the dairy that produces the milk used to make it made it taste even better! absolutely worth a stop if you are nearby.
Very very tasty ice cream.
Lovely ice cream shop. I love going for a walk at the flag shore with an ice cream at Linalla's at the end. The ice cream is very very tasty, owners are super friendly. Couldn't recommend it more!
Love the view, venue is clean and well maintained. Well worth the drive for an ice cream
Delicious home made ice creams to punctuate your walk on the Flaggy Shore.
They make their own ice cream, including their own base from milk from their own cows. Some of the best textured strawberry ice cream I've had, and I've had a lot. Also: Beautiful setting.
Good ice creams (award winning, twice, in 2012), but even better scones. Shame the full range is limited, additionally, only to sweet treats like crepes, brownies and cakes. Another strange ommission is decaff coffee. I know we're a long way from Seattle, but surely that's not so racy for Clare these days. Anyway, it's good, honest and well done, with pleasant service. And quite stunning views. Plus two charming dogs: one huge, loloping and daft; the other, small, cute and brainy as a chess champion.
Great ice-cream! The cafe was nicely decorated and the selection was nicely varied and reasonably priced. Disappointed to find the 5€ note given in change was torn very nearly in half and taped together. I do hope this was a mistake but I struggle to see how.
You can taste milk when you eat their ice creams. They claim it is farm fresh and it probably is.
This was, without a doubt, the best ice cream I have ever had. We stumbled across Linalla Irish Ice Cream while exploring Finavarra in northern Co. Clare and it was worth the trip.. all the way from the States.
Lovely ice cream in fab location
Best ice cream you can get
Worth the visit for the setting alone, spectacular views out over the bay .
Very helpful staff, outdoor seating and the Icecream was delicious 😛
Beautiful cafe in a heavenly place.
Wonder treat at the flaggy shore
It was quite possibly the best ice cream I've ever had, and it was definitely worth the drive!!!!
I don't really love ice cream but I loved this place.
Lovely tea ice cream and views
Lovely ice cream, beautiful views. Can't beat it on a sunny day.
Worth the drive, beautiful scenery on the way. Ice cream was lovely, definitely going to go back!
Pretty pricy for what you get not the best ice cream I’ve ever had but not the worst either
Top quality ice cream, view over Galway Bay, safe play area outside.... hard to fault it!! 😋
Excellent quality.
Enjoyed with my wife at a table sitting
utside in the beautiful sunny day.
A1
We randomly came across this on the map and it was a huge highlight!! The location is picture perfect right on the coast and the ice cream is amazing!
Good offering but the lack of competition has led to poor staff attitude.
Lovely little spot. Delicious ice cream, great seating outside and a playground for the kids
Delicious ice cream!
Fantastic ice-cream, complete with a small playground.
Lovely place, good coffee and great views in all directions. We'll be back.
Lovely people, good ice cream and coffee. Great place with an amazing view
Lovely ice cream a bit pricey
Fantastic ice cream
Worth a detour. The cafe has photos of the cows on the walls - provenance doesn't get better than that!
What superb icecream you make. A wonderful experience. Thank you
Great ice cream. Lovely spot
Amazing Icecream, well worth going out of your way for!
Really tasty ice cream and friendly stuff
Wonderful view, chill ambiance, and tasty homemade icecream
Beautiful ice cream and coffee. Great views
I love ice cream and the tea and cake
wonderful, wonderful. a 3 star is a shame for a torn bill. This isn't Dublin lass!!
Really gorgeous ice cream
Excellent quality, as always!
Ice cream is made on site and a dairy is from the cows right across the street
Great view, family run and great icecream
Great little stop!
Lovely
A beautiful place to visit on a sunny day

Great ice cream.
Great flavours and friendly service
Little bit of luxury when out for a walk in the wilds
Recommend the honeycomb ice cream.
It's a grand place but could do with a revamp
Had the honeycomb! Loved it.
Just magic

Beautiful, simply beautiful
lovely little place
Great
Nice stop on routh
Amazing spot
Accidental find! We wanted to take a break and followed the signs on the side of the road. It's a nice place to take a break! The ice cream was tasty and there is something for every budget. We had the ice cream sundae for €8. Delicious!
Good little stop on the way, good ice cream & milkshake. Took a bit to get down but it was worth it. Unique scene/view and you can walk a nice path along the water. Entrepreneur by girl who I think ran the place? & a good dog!
The ice cream there is really tasty, but at €2.5 a scoop it's not exactly cheap either
Excellent ice cream and a magnificent view. Recommended!
