Myself and my partner shared the prawns and the crab as our starters, which were amazing. We were too full to try dessert but what we saw on the table next to us looked delicious too. To top off the experience, all the staff were friendly and attentive. A wonderful last night in Galway for two travelling Aussies!
J. S.What a special, special place. Staff so very friendly, we left a message for a reservation and they called us a few times until they got us on the phone. So very thankful for that!!! Very nice relaxed atmosphere. We had fried oysters, raw oysters and scampi prawns with a polenta waffle. I grew up on a beach and was raised on fresh seafood. Chef Michael's dishes are above and beyond any expectation you may have. What an honor to experience your dishes. Truly delectable. I have no words but a big thank you to Oscar's for a very lovely evening for two newlyweds in love and on honeymoon.

The monkfish main was awesome and the better halfs hake dish was even better. Great service, definitely book ahead as everyone who walked in on the evening was turned away due to being fully booked.

N. W.Went for a celebratory event and was somewhat disappointed by the lack of choices and creativity shown. The mushroom soup was lacklusterc and having one of the prawns completely in the shell and unprepped in any way shows laziness.

C. D.While my experience may have been an anomaly, Oscar's did not live up to it's reputation. Our party made the mistake of ordering the same dish - we never do that! The scallops were gritty and that left the entire plate disappointing. The bleu cheese and pear potato au gratin was fantastic, however!

The room is bistro style, a little bit noisy but it is easy to sustain a conversation.
I would advise to place a reservation, we've seen the waiter refusing people as all the table were either occupied or booked
They have a special menu for happy hours, our table neighbour did this choice and their plates were very attractive.
