Reviews of Smokey's Café
S. R.Love their latte and coffee collections. They mostly do gourmet tart dishes and the parties and heavenly. Good place for study group meet up but the seats are almost always taken.
M. W.New walls and seating. Same old same old. Don't expect a full cup of coffee. You'll be topping it up with milk and sticking it in the microwave.
J. C.Great inexpensive coffee. Small selection of hot food but plenty of prepared sandwiches and salads. And pastries muffins and treats to have with your hot beverage including vegan bars.
S.Good spot for students to hang out, plenty of seating. They have tea/coffee etc and they do soft drinks, sweets and crisps.
S. G.Smokey's is the NUIG on-campus café, and it's really great. Café-aspect aside, it's such a warm, comfortable atmosphere to hang out in between classes, or whenever.
The hot chocolate, despite the ongoing competition put forth from the XL shop below, is second to none, and they've got really cool veggie options.
Only reason I docked a star was for the prices. It's all tasty as hell, and it is a truly great atmosphere, but it's far from cheap.
