A must go to in Ballyvaughan. The food was delicious as were the fresh cakes. My mum went as far to say that the tomato soup was the best she'd ever had, and I'm sure she's had plenty to sample too. The fresh bread paired with it really struck home. I should say it wasn't cheap, but we left completely satisfied and for me, that's worth the money for fresh, homemade food. The staff were also nice, and although we sat indoors, the outdoor area is lovely too. The bathrooms were also very well looked after too. Great for a family meal after a lovely drive or walk.

Really good food, we sat in the garden for our lunch Inside is lovely too. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean. We had to wait outside for 15 minutes for our table but there is a lovely area where you can sit. The staff were really friendly. It is a really popular place. We loved it.

Gorgeous food and a magical place to settle for a break. The garden at the back is very special and the location brings a sense of wildness and nostalgia to its doorstep. The tea was tasty yet beautifully subtle, and the staff attentive and polite. Highly recommended.

Had delicious beef stroganoff for lunch, it was melt in the mouth and bursting with flavour. Tea (tea leaves not bags) and cake afterwards which left us licking our lips. We were seated in a lovely conservatory and enjoyed identifying the plants. Great service, friendly, helpful staff.

We had a beautiful lunch here. We both opted for the toastie ham and cheese with mustard. It did have a more elegant name I cant recall. Ham was delicious really fresh and thick not the packaged wafer stuff. We had the pink lemonade had a touch of grapefruit through it was good. Coffee was well made. Its a really nice setting and the cakes looked delicious but we were too full... Afternoon teas would be great here so you get the combo. The setting is beautiful. It has a cutsie cottage feel. It warm and inviting. Great deffo be back next time we are in Clare.

So glad we ate here rather than a number of other locations visited today. The soup, mushroom and mixed pepper, not a blend I'd have thought of but truly tasty. The scone and cakes (coffee and walnut/carrot) were light, airy and very edible. Good coffee as well. Lovely garden to sit in briefly and "smell" if not the roses, the other flowers and plants.

We first visited this gem of a tea room whilst touring the west coast -several years ago. It was a very wet and blustery day and I recall the comfort and warmth of the welcome - the food was stunning! How lovely then to return on a gloriously sunny afternoon and to see the colourful garden in full splendour. The catering and service remain top notch - absolutely perfect!

In 2001 we found it for the first time, we returned in the years (also when it was closed). It is simply fascinating place, inside for food and cakes and outside for garden and atmosphere. To stop bere is to find beauty, simplicity and taste.

It's hard to travel around the Burren without fitting in a visit to the Tea Rooms. Both the meals and deserts are fantastic! Sitting in the conservatory lets you convince yourself that there is a summer in Ireland!

We tasted 2 famous very light cakes (blueberry meringue tart and a kind of cinnamon and walnut sponge cake + hazelnuts) with a very fragrant tea and a capuchino with real milk! The place is amazing with a very cute flower garden with Burren stones as tables and a very pleasant veranda with garden furniture and flowers everywhere. If you arrive before midday you will only be served tea, coffee and cakes... it is only afterward that you can have lunch. Be careful, places are expensive, it’s a very popular place. A little expensive though €17

(Translated) We thought about going in there, as it is close to the road and is very much geared towards tourism. After thinking about it, we went in to form our own opinion. Tea was okay in terms of price and taste. Cake was very expensive and a little small. The homemade lemonade tasted good and was very nicely presented. Toilets were very clean and the staff was nice. (Original) Haben uns überlegt dort reinzugehen, da es dicht an der Straße liegt und sehr auf Tourismus gepolt ist. Nach überlegen sind wir reingegangen um uns eine eigene Meinung zu bilden. Tee war preislich und geschmacklich in Ordnung. Kuchen war sehr teuer und etwas klein. Die selbstgemachte Limonade war geschmacklich gut und sehr schön angerichtet. Toiletten waren sehr sauber und das Personal war nett.
