As always, last Sunday was so enjoyable, a great place for a bite of breakfast on a Sunday morning. Lunchtime offerings also great, especially the chowder. Food and staff are top class. Owner always takes the time for a quick chat, nice personal touch. Don't bypass this place!!!

This is our 2nd time in this lovely cafe, First time we got a table outside enjoying the lovely gorey weather with coffee and their amazing crumble. 2nd time today ! still sitting on this table. We walked in, welcomed by a lovely smile from Amy, and got to our table. both my wife and I are on a special diet... she eat healthy and I eat everything ! so its safe to say that we ask alot of questions about food and that was ok for the staff, they were friendly helpful and made our order they way we want it. We ordered 2 burgers ,1 wings and goat cheese salad. and it was amazing, especially the wings .. I can't recommend this place enough, for the food and the location but mostly the staff. for people who carry their work with them everywhere it's a nice place to set and work too

Has a good selection of choices from sandwiches to daily specials. It was busy the day I visited midweek lunchtime. It has quaint decoration. You order at the till & the food is then brought to you. We both had specials, seafood chowder which was hearty & plenty of fish, Duck salad the same & full of flavour. Coffee was a little on the strong side & I am a coffee fan! Deserts & cakes looked great but we didn't try. Cute bookshop at the back of the cafe.

On a trip from Dublin to Waterford, we decided to stop here for a coffee. On return from the ladies, I stopped for a browse in the bookshop. Imagine my surprise when I picked up a copy of my late dad's book. Made all the more special because when I moved house many years ago, I mislaid the original copy I had! It's been out of print for a long time now so this find made my day! A lovely place for a browse. Thanks Book Cafe!

Very, very nice place to relax, have a coffee /tea and read a book. There is a book shop at the back of the restaurant with an eclectic and big collection of second hand books. While I was there I was very tempted by the brekkies being served. They looked and smelled gorgeous and all were freshly cooked. Very busy little place. I'll be back for a breakfast soon. Recommended.

The best breakfast I've found in Ireland - and I've been looking, believe me! All of the staff are friendly and cheerful even though they are often rushed off their feet. The atmosphere is great as well - with shelves full of old books at the back of the cafe. Highly recommended!

This cafe we happened upon today, was a real find. The coffee was superb, the hot and cold sandwiches were excellent. The service was amongst the best we have ever had, and we were a party of seven, including young children. Highly recommended, high standards all round.

I had never been to Gorey before and made a mistake on the address of where the food was to be delivered to. The is a beautiful eclectic second hand book store/cafe. The walls are lined with books that you can choose from and purchase, with 2 additional rooms at the back which are wall to wall literature. Pavlova and a tea was extremely reasonable at 6 euro for both. The tea came in a pot with enough for 4 cups, and the Pavlova was enough for 2 people realistically. Would come back to Gorey just for this cafe. Pleasantly busy and I can see why.

I love that every table and chair is diffirent. It's very cosy and beautifull. Looking from outside you might think it's just a tiny little room, but once you're in you will see thats not the case. Lovely coffee, beautifull cakes, a book to read. And those chandeliers... Makes you feel very homey.

Lovely atmosphere and nice staff. It was a glorious sunny day with temperature in the mid 20's so everyone was in tip top form. Menu was solid as opposed to spectacular - I had the cod which was a safe bet. I would go back again for the service and the facilities - bathroom was pristine - and the food is very reliable.

My only . criticism is that it's hard to read the menu behind the counter as it's permanently busy and you're in everyone's way; menus on the table would be better. I just went for a scone in the end but would have liked . something different. If I could have sat and the table and looked at the menu it would have been better
