I absolutely love The Happy Pear! I always visit when I'm in Dublin - it is the perfect spot for dubious food that is actually healthy too! First class! This os certainly the prize after walking the coastal path from Bray to Greystones which I also recommend!
R. R.
The place is nice, the food was very good (lasagna and Buddha bowl in my case)… but the guy serving wasn't wearing his mask properly and talking right over the food. Your clients' health should be a priority. It was disappointing to see that they make their consumers wear a mask while their personnel cannot follow such a basic direction.

Popped in here the other day to buy some organic cabbage to make sauerkraut. Bought some fresh tempeh as well and a few apples all delicious. I was given a gift of spelt sourdough bread which was excellent. They wanted to convert me as I told them I made my own sourdough. I will be back to eat at their restaurant.

Nice interior with good food. I ordered sour dough toast & a mocha, both were very nice. Found it quite expensive for what it was & selection was limited as it was just the breakfast menu. Desserts all looked excellent though & good selection of beverages.
R. B.
Nice food options, the hot chocolate was grand. Staffs were very welcoming and friendly.

Good quality vegan food and very tasty!portion sizes a bit on the small side.Salads delightful. Both deserts very nice, especially the brownie. Quite busy Saturday afternoon, bit messy upstairs, tables not cleared of dishes, so went outside, freezing cold. Dirty plates again and bird💩 everywhere on the table. We would go again to try more food and see how it goes.

I loved this place! I came here for work actually, to interview the owners, and they are such good and lovely people with a great idea and good intention behind. Their food is amazing. I had the chance to try various breads, sauces, jams and all was so good and tasty. Loved it. And a great coffee too! Definitely a place to visit and enjoy!

The best food so close to the beautiful Wicklow. The fancy porridge is the best way yo start your day and honestly, any soup in here will make your belly sing. I simply love it here. And the fact that you can buy suspended coffees here is the cherry on the icing.

So much Deliciousness in one place or was hard to choose... I'll definitely be coming back. I went with my family and friends and there was not one complaint. Be prepared to go hungry as portions are big. Food is healthy, wholesome and delicious. The outside area is lovely and vibey on a sunny day.

Had to visit after following the twins forever. Did not disappoint. Lovely food and friendly staff. Worth a visit for sure
J. B.
I love this place and the atmosphere. Staff and owners are very helpful and friendly. Vegan meal is always fresh and tasty. Everybody find something for eat, even meat eaters can't complain. I visit them min once a month. Highly recommend. They have also fresh veg, fruits and amazing bread in their shop offer.
G. F. V.
Many vegan options. Buddha bowl is a must try !!
Hope to come back again.

Absolutely beautiful place to eat. The food is amazing. The staff are so friendly and look like they love their job. But why wouldn't they when they have Steve and Dave as employers. The outdoor dining at the back is a little sun trap and I thought today I was in Spain. Hated leaving to go home. Well done lads, pity there aren't more shops and restaurants like yours around the country.
M. G.
I've been wanting to visit this place for a while now as I'm a UK fan of the owners' YouTube videos. I had a lovely pumpkin and coconut soup, but I found the bean burger too dry - it lacked fresh salad and sauce. The carrot cake was very good and I brought home a couple of scones which were still great warmed up the next day 😊
D. B.
Delicious food and friendly staff. I got the Buddha bowl which has a great mix of everything. Highly recommend.
c. o. r.
Aight listen im generally not the healthy type dairy free isnt in my vocabulary, but this soup is bussin bussin genuinely the nicest soup i can remember the service was exceptional friendly professional and the protion sizes were extremely generous and the price was ridiculously low for the quality and quantity of the food would highly recommend even if your girlfriend doesnt drag you here
L. H.
We saw them on somebody feed Phil so we had to make this our first stop in Ireland. Everything we had was wonderful!
A. G.
Amazing choice of food, lovely helpful staff and great location. It is almost too difficult to decode what to have. The shop is also great for buying things to take home! A must visit if in the area.
I. O.
I’m not a huge fun of vegan food, but it was awesome! Highly recommend! ♥️ The place was packed, although the service was fast and we got munchies while we were in the que :)
M. C. T.
Fresh, tasty and one of the best vegan places to eat in Ireland. I just love this place so much, specially their matcha late and fresh pastries and Buddha bowls.
P. B.
LOVE ❤️ this place. Fantastic atmosphere, the coffee and scones are to die for. As are the sourdough cinnamon rolls and the Chia seed puddings, in Fact I've never had anything I didn't like here.
J. Q.
Very cool place to chill out & enjoy some real healthy food.Staff are super friendly, busy on the day with a seemingly constant queue ordering food.Large courtyard area for al fresco dinning but too cold & windy on our visit - summer is so fleeting.
Love the tap inside the door for filling your water bottle!
The shop is packed with organic & healthy goodies, overall great place to visit - pricey but portions are big & filling.
Didn't leave with a six pack,no miracle food at The Pear.
N. T.
This place gets absolutely packed, and for good reason. Fantastic range of vegan hot meals, salads, sandwiches and desserts. Everything tastes fresh and nourishing, and you can tell it's made with a lot of love. Delighted to see they don't charge extra for dairy free milk either. Will definitely be making the trek out to Greystones more often to pay them a visit 🌱
V. H. G.
My favorite place to eat!! Everything taste delicious and the staff is very nice and kind. Even if you are not vegan, you will love it!
I highly recommend all their products and food.
B. M.
Food consistently good, with helpful, friendly staff. Picked up a sourdough loaf - a few types available, and the staff member was able to give the percentages of the types of flour in each bread. Also salted caramel tart, fudgey? brownie and rice krispie chocolate square - all good. And a decent americano 👍.
V.
Good place for vegan and vegetarian grub. We were here with kids. Paid €30 for lunch for 3. Queue was huge on Saturday so be prepared. Coffee is locally roasted. It was so so but I keep my coffee to a high standard. Food was tasty and truly healthy. There was no problem with mixing and matching the food. Staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, would recommend to a friend.
A. E.
Really lovely place right off the train stop in Greystones. Apparently it's world famed though I don't really know anything about it. I had a lovely beetroot latte and my friend enjoyed a bountiful porridge. Basic porridge is free as a public service. Good on them for helping the homeless.
Limited sidewalk seating with more generous options on the cosy second floor.
Prices are reasonable given its location, quality and notoriety.
Highly recommended!
C. T.
The food here is excellent, everything is vegetarian and vegan. I had the lasagne and out was delicious. There always seems to be queues here, it's a popular place, they do move pretty quick however. Sometimes if you don't get there early the lasagne can be gone. Staff were very friendly and there is loads of seating.
J. L. S.
The queue is large and well worth it, they serve tea and cereal bar for the people waiting in line. Restaurant is very nice, has a great decoration with messages about the conscious consumption, healthy life and nature. recommended!
S. B.
The vegan lasagne was a tasty treat
Does not contain dairy or any meat
Sat out the back had a lovely wee seat
Was a beautiful hot day I could feel the heat
Foods that tasty I think the chefs a cheat
The cookies and cakes were oh so sweet
Health consciousness diners this is fit for a athlete
You'll not get a fright when you see the receipt
Absolutely top notch scoff it's 💯 elite
Will be back again in a heartbeat ♥

I love it here! We travelled down especially from Dublin. A lovely coastal train ride. We had coffee and cake at the cafe and later on, had lunch. The food was delightful. The atmosphere is busy, friendly, warm and rather magical. Greystones is well worth exploring too. A grand day out!
r. c.
Lovely courtyard out back to have your coffee, cakes etc. Helpful staff. Also happy to pick up some free cooking apples. I do love a tart.
D. O.
This place is great, we went for coffee and breakfast in the morning, delicious coffee, food. The place makes you feel like you are on vacation. Staff members are really friendly, easy going guys! Really recommend that place to anyone who wants to find relaxing place and enjoy food!
U. Y.
I took veg country soup, a bread and an avocado. This cost me 6 Euro. Well, I did not find the soup tasty, bread was too crisp. Overall I did not enjoy the food as it was too plain for me. But what I liked the most is that they were serving fruits to the people who were waiting in queue to order the food as it was a little crowdy summer Sunday in Greystones. They were brilliant host though. Looking forward to try some other food variety.
T. F.
Loved everything! Porridge was absolutely amazing! You guys are doing everything right
N. T.
Did the Bray to Greystones walk and walked a bit further to head to this ever popular establishment. The queue was very long when we joined!
The deli counter and till were quite cramped and hard to navigate with large queues. The ordering menu was a bit confusing and i would have ordered the lasagna had i known they were serving it!
The decor is quite kitsch which I wasn’t a huge fan of. The food was very colourful (I got the burrito bowl which is pictured) but lacking something in flavour. Maybe a good hot sauce to tie things together.
The sticky gingerbread cake was very good with the flavour being just on the verge of being a bit bitter, giving it a treacle like quality.
The waitstaff were very friendly and bubbly and i actually felt great after eating the food here. It’s just that I felt it’s something you can make at home. Maybe that’s the whole idea but it sort of went over my head.
Would go back to try something a bit more comforting if i was in the area.
l. r.
Definitely one of my favourites restaurants in Ireland!!
The food is amazing, really good coffee and the carrot cake is just my favourite!!
The staff is really helpful and the place es really comfy!!
I’m not vegetarian but I’d be if I had everyday this food! :)
F.
Food was fab. There’s more seating available than there looks from the outside. The sticky ginger loaf is incredible! I definitely recommend!
M. K.
I love to go there with my family ❤️ my daughter loves porridge and I can't chose my favourite meal - I love everything there.
Lovely staff working there. Everything is always so clean and nice.
J. G.
The food was good, I had hoped it would be amazing but I did find I was still missing the meat a little. Service wasn't that good either because it is pretty much self service but still there were lots of tables which appeared to be kind of half cleaned.
D. W.
Love the place. Great food, vegan friendly, awesome coffee. Keep it up!
J. D.
Love this place, the food, the atmosphere is wonderful.
A. P.
Great food! The best vegan place! Gets very busy during the weekends so you must go early if you want to find a place to sit.

I had a lovely time in the Happy Pear today.
I was meeting my daughter for lunch. She brought her two dogs. A staff member walked them, and gave them water bowls, while we got our meal in the garden.
R. G.
Happy food, happy drink, happy pear...get yourself down there.
J. C.
Belly hugging buddha bowl bliss! Will be back 🥰
D. D.
Had the festive sandwich and a medley of salads, all amazing. Can't wait to return

Amazing food and people. Really enjoyed in every bite.

FLAVOUR, FLAVOUR AND FLAVOUR.
The kids were excited. My friends has been here many times. The queue. The smells. What a wonderful experience.
In the little town of Greystones live The Happy Pear. Small town but with a big/great soul. There is great things happening in there: ice cream parlours, food trucks, amazing pubs, crepes and great wine/deli shops.
But we came here to see the Pears. And what a great success it was.
Small menu but deliver BIG FLAVOURS. We manage to have a lasagna and a Buddha bowl. All tastings great. Dahl with a kick. Everything tasted fresh. No wonder as they are very busy all the time.
Don't get put off by the queue, it goes quickly.
Before we went we also try the coffee. As expected it was delicious and really well made. Babyccinos for the kiddos and off we went to the beach.
I have the suspicion that this guys (The Pears) made this town. But I also think that they not keeping all the glory and other people is shipping in.
Go, try, get plenty of the good vibe.
M. K.
Very nice cafe. Nice latte and granola bowl. Great quality ingredients as I'm fussy when it comes to quality. Will come again

Although I am not vegan or anywhere close to it, I really like the place and their food!
Worth trying it sometimes and enjoy the flavorful dishes.
s. l.
I love this place. I’ve been twice on two separate trips and it’s ace! Great healthy food, fantastic staff and a really wonderful atmosphere. Wish I lived closer!
9.
We went for breakfast and had the fancy porridge which is delicious. The coffee was great too. We sat upstairs which is light, airy and pleasant.
The queuing for food is a little cramped but worth the wait!
Greystones is beautiful.....

Finally made it to The Happy Pear in the snow a few weeks ago. The place is full of character & charm. Food is amazing. Small but good selection of options. I chose the Butternut Squash & Feta Lasagne & a healthy Bounty for after! Both delish! Plenty of seating inside and out. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Was well worth the trip.
S. V.
Lovely spot - cozy decorations and superb healthy/ vegeterian food options. There is always a bit of a queue for the food downstairs but it goes fairly quickly and there is so many seats available upstairs too. Would recommend doing the Bray to Greystones walk and stopping here as your reward.
S. M.
Lovely coffee, must take a sip while walking in the street of Greystones. Wait a while if you are planning to order some veg or vegan dishes but it's worth to wait. Lot of organic stuffs to buy.
G. J.
Delicious food. I had to buy from the shop as I was short on time and there was a large queue for the restaurant.
P. S.
Must be the best and tastiest cafe in Dublin / Wicklow area! If you are in Greystones and you didn't stop for a cup of coffee and a slice of veggie lasagna you missed out big time!
S. H.
Best experience ever !! Free water available. Delicious coffee with great emphasis on impact and care for the environment. I also loved the range of sauces and dips. Staff so friendly and even the wild birds joined us outside. Can't recommend it more. Well done counting seconds till I m visiting again.
A. C.
Excellent and tasty food from a meat lover’s perspective. Don’t be intimidated by the queue, there’re lots of seats out back and up the stairs. As a water guzzler, also appreciate the filtered Wicklow tap water you can help yourself to while queuing! The queuing to order system could be improved since it’s quite a squeeze in that area.
C. M.
lovely place with amazing vegan food! a little pricey for the food they make. less than a half an avocado added as extra was 2€. i though it’s a bit too much. but except that, i really enjoyed my food. + found it really nice that upstairs they have beautiful paintings and quotes which were very thoughtful. ❤️ will be back!
S. C.
Delicious food and restaurant!
I love stopping by after the cliffs walk, definitely a great way to end the hike.
t. o.
The food is great. No indoor dining at the moment. I was missing the buzz and atmosphere from earlier days.
A. T. S.
A stunning place for a great vegan meal. Happened to try this restaurant after all the hype by various friends and colleagues. I should admit that it’s not just hype, it’s the fact that Happy Pear is a must try place for Vegans.
And not just vegans, anyone with an interest to taste great delicacies should pay a visit here. I personally tried the sourdough focaccia and carrot cake (both vegan obviously) and they were fantastic!
R.
Called in here after walking Greystones beach. Always very busy. Really chilled cafe. The veggie lasagne was amazing and the carrot and ginger soup. Had salted caramel cake too!
A. C.
I’ve been craving to try this place for a while! First attempt was last summer but the queue was so long and we were in a big group so we gave up (unfortunately).. Since then I’ve been following the instragram page which is very good to get some ideas for cooking and finally I got the chance to go to Greystones again! OMG! I can’t recommend this place enough! I had the lasagna and it was so tasty! The pistachio cake was also delicious! Can’t wait to go back! We queued for about 15 minutes and we didn’t have much trouble to find a table for me and my friend! But I won’t be afraid next time to wait even if it has a long queue because it is totally worth!!
E. S.
Incredible place, I really wanted to know this cafe and it has fulfilled my expectations, and of course thank you David for signing your last book and good people I tell you that everything I could try was very good, delicious with that mmmmmm, everything fresh, flavored with delicious good vibes of healthy, wonderful attention, friendly and with a smile, they will have amazed me with the amount of things I asked for, healthy food and above all it nourishes you, good care and with a smile included I don't say more and no it is expensive, they will surely repeat
T. D.
It's a special little place in Greystones.
Staff are always willing to help. Some very specialized bits and pieces. They also help Druids Hotel with soke of their food and menu. Can't be bad at all.
Try their own bounty type bars. Not cheap, but definitely an experience.
E. S.
Amazing service and amazing, wholesome food! What more could you ask from a Cafe in Greystones? This plant based restaurant is so good it will please vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores alike. Extremely kid friendly. My favorites include the Buddha bowl and vegan croissant!
C. R.
A great spot for a guilt free lunch. Friendly staff and great coffee. Like most vegan places it is a little expensive.
A. O.
I had a takeaway coffee and it was delicious. Also, bought a sour dough loaf to take home. It was on car seat beside me and I don't know how I resisted eating it all! The smell was divine and it tasted as good. Ever better if was reasonably priced.
S. P.
The food is always very good and the staff are nice and friendly.. a definite must try if you haven't already.
P. D.
A lovely organic place, encourages less use of plastic which is a much needed for the hour. Great place and smiling owner. Great variety of healthy breakfast and amazing sandwiches.
A. Š.
Very nice place. Amazing food. 🥰
B. G.
Ok . Nice food but 12.50 for some chicken and rice and veg in a cardboard box ? All organic I know but still. The entrance to the building made it difficult to socially distance properly.
V. _.
Good food, good service, just need to have a better queueing system for food and drinks collection.
l.
Everything very reasonably priced. Food was great. I had lasagna, Twix, latte. Friendly staff. Upstairs cute to sit at. And outside. Staff very friendly.
M.
The best vegan food going. Great vibes, great staff and fantastic food. I just wish they had a spot like this in the city centre.
A. K.
Actually the guy, who is wearing the mask wrong way and "talking right over the food", is the one of founders of this place 🥲
But food is great 😊
P. W.
Really tasty vegetarian food. The daal was amazing. Long queues but worth the wait.
J. S.
I’ve been following Dave & Steve aka The Happy Pear for a while by now. Met them first on a retreat in Italy and now visited them in Ireland where it all started. Fantastic guys & amazing food. It’s a no frills vegan institution... just as it should be! 🙏🏻
M. C.
Had an awesome experience yesterday. Fantastic atmosphere, easy going and friendly...Michelin Star Service / Food......Owner / Customer interaction second to none....Highly reccomend a visit if you haven't been..Well done & thank you for a great experience!!! All @ Happy Pear

Could eat there everyday! Lively and lovely staff!
Highly recommended!
S. M.
Very cute restaurant in a very nice location. The seating areas are very nice and make it a great place to meet up with friends or even sit and do some work. My favorite thing to get is the carrot cake.
D. N.
Super food, super staff, super healthy. The energy flows from all parts of this place. Recipe books are fantastic, simple and make it easy to produce tasty wholesome meals at home. On Line too.
A. H.
Even if there's a queue....it's worth it! Staff go around with samples, water and sunscreen in the summer. The food is sooooo good!!!
B. P.
Beautiful Food, friendly fast service and lives up to the Hype, would Highly recommend
A. S.
I was here years ago when the lads first set it up. The only thing thats changed is the popularity. Good place to pick up California style veggie food but the queues are chronic now so would rate it higher but for that
L. K.
Found this place by accident during our hike from Greystones to Bray Head. Just wanted to grab some coffee to go. Went in and when I saw the plate with poridge I instantly knew that I have to have one :) The Fancy poridge tasted excellent and together with great coffee and nice interior this place was a very pleasant surprise during our trip.
J.
Delicious food! Carrot cake was so good.
C. G.
Wow wow wow... This place did not dissapoint! Incredible place, inspiring, relaxing and so welcoming
J. B.
Delicious fresh salads eaten outside in the sunshine. Lots of children (and dogs) eating their vegetables 🙂
A. S.
Great place, We ordered the Buddha Bowl and Madras Curry and both were nice. Nice place to enjoy a warm day with outdoor dining.
I. F.
Great quality food and coffee. Friendly and helpful staff
a. m.
Fabulous food, staff very helpful.
A. K.
The food and presentation of the cafe and store is very pretty. However the staff were not chatty, every time I asked a questionbteh staff turned around, chatting amongst themselves. Undoubtably a busy successful place with great outdoor seating out back. Where staff chatted with locals as a visitor I felt snubbed. Especially as thirsty after climbing a nearby hill I asked for tap water. Everyone wore multicolored pretty clothes. A sharp contrast to Dublins more gritty city centre.
Overall the food was really good, great even. The lasting memory was ordering a #mocha and the guy behind the counter expressly pronouncing it differently. The Happy Pair are certainly happy as long as you pronounce Mocha the way they do.
N. J.
Delicious food, lovely restaurant and café. Good value for money
B. S.
Lovely food and friendly staff.
Great sheltered eating area at the back for rainy days.
Dog friendly.
M. h.
Very good vegan/ veg food and excellent service, good price for the amount of food received to take away
l. d.
Got a take away. The guy serving was no way helpful. Wasn't interested in explaining my choice of food. It was 12euro.
m. m.
Very warm ambience, great food and atmosphere
M. R.
Great food, very friendly staff and just the right mix of things. A great destination after a walk on the coast.
T. W.
Amazing selection of awesome plant based food and super friendly staff. 🌱😁🍐

Lovely meal, the best coffee and a wonderful place to chilling.
S. S.
Has to be my all-time fav place to eat ..foods simply stunning ..and everytime I go to Bray in Co Wicklow ,I walk the coastal path to greystones to earn my lunch ...
M. P.
Lovely wholesome food with a positive atmosphere. ,☺️👍
P.
We had lunch in the happy pear. Lovely place nice atmosphere. Had a mixed box which was delicious and then coffee and pastries. Coffee was good pastries were awful. Dry and hard. Wouldnt buy a pastry here again but would return for food.
A. L. H. M.
Food is georgeus, very good option for vegetarians.
K. W.
We go there quiet often. Great selection of vegetarian and vegan food. Very positive vibe around.
W. K.
Everything you ever needed in one cute little shop. Fruit and veg top organic quality and a lovely back garden for you to enjoy lunch
F. C.
I went for a quick bite, coffee & cake. Coffee wasn't as good as I expected but still better than most, and the salted caramel with dark chocolate cake was good too.
A. L.
Lovely coffee.. I didn't have time for good. Pity really
A. Z.
Love this place! Fóod is always delicious and such a lovely atmosphere! ❤️👍
F. H.
Great food, great venue, and great staff, what's not to enjoy, and be nourished.
A. M.
Food is fabulous and guilt free, its so healthy. Cute cafe & Greystones is lovely also.
M. J.
Great place for vegetarians and vegans, big portions, good value.
A. B.
A bit overrated. But the bread is great and the service always joyful.
N. M.
If you visit Greystones do not forget to stop by this place! Especially loved their backyard terrace away from the street rush.
E. E.
Loved the food and the place looks very vintage chick. Highly recommend while visiting Greystones
L. S.
Built myself up for this.. thought it was going to be amazing.. it was just average.. falafel was awful and the other food we got was like baby food.. lacked flavour and seasoning
R. P.
We visited last Sunday and there was seating in and out if you preferred. Coffee and cakes were the order of the day and were as delicious as always. Keep going lads through tough and good times.
J. K. (.
Brilliant, as usual :)
Lovely vegetarian food, nice atmosphere, turmeric latte. Just right amount of seats. Also shopping after, for organic food.
Only minus: we were there at 4pm and already bread was sold out and not a full choice of cakes. However, I had “sticky gingerbread” and I asked them to heat it up and it was delicious. Pure bliss.
L. K.
Great healthy spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch, cake, coffee etc. Really imaginative and tasty menu with lots of fresh produce... Not too far from the dart station if you are coming by train!
M. L.
Nice coffee shop to sit in, though extremely busy. Expect to patiently queue for up to 20 minutes for your coffee. Offering multiple 'milk' types may be good from a customer choice perspective but it slows the whole process.
Vegan sweets on offer were very sweet, and limited gluten free options which was surprising.
Americano was okay, cappuccino ditto. Just don't go if you are in a rush.
A. N.
absolutely love this place and everything they stand for. Food is delicious and they are passionate about sustainability which is great. Lovely atmosphere in the cafe with lots of cute little decor. Shop also has a great range of lovely healthy products. Always a bit of a queue but well worth it!
S.
Love the Happy Pear! Amazing food, bread, focaccia more please and the staff & ambiance are very friendly! 👏😷🏖⛵️
B. M. D.
Wonderful vegan food at great value price. Don't visit Greystones without calling in.
K. D.
We only ordered coffee but it was tasty. The location was inviting, both inside and out.
P. J.
We had a welcomed tasty vegetarian lunch after walk from Bray to Greystones. We followed lunch with lovely homemade Cookies and Dark chocolate bar with fresh mint tea and coffee. Delightful visit!
W. S.
Excellent food for good price. Type of bistro place
E. S.
Local business for twin chefs focusing on vegan food. Great coffee and take away snacks as well as veg and deli foodstuffs great local feel
I. K.
Nice coffee and their bounty bar was scrummy. Made some other purchases in the shop. Expensive.
D. M.
This place has a great reputation, and it is upheld by the good food it serves consistently.
S. K.
Delicious homemade healthy food, staff were really helpful and friendly and great portion size too!
L. R.
Loveliest vegan food ever. It's not good in spite of being vegan, its just SO GOOD. Fresh, organic ingredients, happy and fast service. Definitely recommend this ace to anyone who is even thinking of maybe trying it. You will be pleasantly surprised! Even the desserts and tea are delicious! Can't wait to come back again.
A. N.
Amazing vegetarian restaurant. Food is fabulous. Amazing place
N. R.
Have been following these for ages but as i live on UK never been until a trip to Greystones... had to go. Did not dissapoint one bit.
M. B.
Amazing food
S. C.
Love this place, vegan burger was delish and lovely atmosphere with queues out the door!
A. B.
Definitely my favorite restaurant of all time! The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is delicious! Every time I've gone they have had some sort of lasagna and every single time it has been DELICIOUS! The ginger beer is lovely. 20/10 would definitely recommend to a friend.
C. G.
Great eatery, always great fresh food served daily, the staff are great crack
O. C.
Breakfast here was fantastic. Had the delicious 'fancy porridge' with fresh orange juice. So filling
R. W.
Great place, wonderful food.
L. H.
Had a lovely late lunch last Thursday after doing the Bray to Greystones walk. Not too busy. Staff were friendly. Have eaten there a few times and never disappointed.
F. D.
Super good place - food is absolutely amazing, healthy and delicious! The place has such a positive energy and it has beautiful space both indoor and in the backyard for seating and enjoying. Recommended!
S. A.
Happy Pear is always a great place to eat. I had the daily Buddha bowl and it was delicious. It's great to see the owners taking care of their customers too😊 Suck a lovely place
O. B.
Delicious plant based food, friendly and helpful staff! Definitely recommend!
K. D.
Beatiful place with yummi and healthy food. Great customer services
L. S.
The food is amazing and there's a huge variety to choose from, both sweet and savory wise. The only thing that is not ideal is service: you don't have table service, which is fine, but at least it would be nice to have menus available at the tables. Also, when we went to the counter to take our food, we struggled to catch the staff's attention because they were chatting all the time. It's a pity because it's really unconfortable for people with reduced mobility or if you have a baby
G. K.
Very nice indoor and outdoor space, if you're lucky with the weather! I found the main dishes a bit overpriced also considering that you were paying extra for the side salads and I wasn't generally impressed to be honest. Although, there's a big selection and the desert (vegan red velvet cupcake) was honestly amazing! Lastly, we had to wait for like 20min in line for the food, which I didn't mind, so be prepared for that.

When in Greystones, visiting The Happy Pear is a must. Phenomenal food, amazing coffee and the staff is unbelievably friendly. The Happy Pear is a North Star in Ireland guiding us to a cruelty free and truly peaceful planet. Thank you for the space you have created here and for sharing it with the public. Came here from Canada and will definitely be coming back. 🙏💖🍐🥦🌿

Food always fantastic, staff bubbly, friendly and helpful.
R. S.
Absolutely fabulous! Excellent menu with a selection of meat, vegetarian and vegan
Options. It’s also got lots of seating inside and outside. Excellent location, I’ll be going again!
D. O.
first time visiting, i expected it wouldn't live up to the hype. I was amazed how good quality the food was and how reasonably priced it was. nice seating area upstairs. Reminds me of good vegetarian cafes in London for which Ireland is lacking. id go regularly to Happy Pear if it wasnt so far away. Greystones is worth a visit anyway, nice beach.
C. T.
Delicious food, great choice of foods and friendly staff
B. P.
Food is delicious, and amazing vegan flavors
S. K.
The perfect place for a bite after the Bray to Greystones trail walk. I am not a vegan, vegetarian, and I don't either follow a plant based diet. But this place might easily anybody to eat more veggies. All their items are incredibly tasty and colorful which makes the food even more appetizing.
Both twins, Steve and Dave, give a special touch to this place with their friendly and nice presence.
J. T.
Very good atmosphere, lovely inside the building and couldn’t fault the food. A touch in the expensive side for what you get which means 4 stars rather than 5. The small shop adjacent is also nice if not a touch expensive also. Would recommend
D. c.
Sister brought me here -:D I'm not vegan but i can assure the food is amazingly tasty. Affordable, friendly staff and a good play to sit and have a meal
S. T.
Not a vegetarian but this place had the most tasty vegetarian and vegan food I’ve ever paid for. Absolutely delicious options- so flavoursome and the sweet treats were lovely too! Fantastic customer service too.

So my friend had been raving about this place. I finally got the occasion to go and see for myself. The place is very cute and has a lot of character and just this makes it an enjoyable experience. We considered the outside seated area for 3 seconds before making our way upstairs. Plenty of tables, the décor is simple and really fits the old building. There was not much choice foodwise but most, if not all, people in the queue ordered lasagne and a side salad. With alternatives such as vegan curry and to my dismay vegan seafood chowder (???) the 2 made with -yuk- saturated fat loaded coconut oil, I also ordered vegetarian lasagne and a salad side - the one with less sauce on it (I'm afraid probably more coconut oil). That made for a very generous portion. Tastewise the food was very good and fresh. The lasagne, unfortunately as usual in Ireland, was quite heavy with sauce but had a nice quantity of vegetables in it, even though unusual for lasagne like broccoli. It was made with real cheese. The salad was well seasoned, a rarity in Ireland, with roasted chickpeas and vegetarian bacon pieces, which tasted a bit too meaty for me but I was assured this is a meat-free restaurant. The bill is always a shock in restaurants lately, priced at €12 per head, without any drinks, it is way overpriced for vegetarian food. If the price is not an issue for you then definitely a place to be tried.
G. K.
Amazing variety of food. Friendly staff and the food was so tasty, I've been a veggie over 15 years and I've never had food like it in Ireland😍

It was an honour to meet the lovely happy pear in Greystones today, I am a big fan🤗. We took a whole long walk from Bray to Greystones with hungry stomachs creating space for their lovely food. Will definitely go back soon, highly recommend
And I have one of their books, love it🤗.
A. B.
This place is just the business after a long walk from Bray. Lovely people watching spot. The staff are really lovely and friendly and the food is just delicious. I had the salted caramel slice and it was fantastic. And they we're really lovely towards our dog which was just fantastic. Will be going back here.
A. C.
Heaven for Vegan and Vegetarian people in Ireland. Especially who love bakery food. I enjoyed all bakery items fully. Since I was late, the only option was buddha bowl, which I won't recommend too much.
B. M.
Best vegetarian meal I've had in a restaurant ever in my life! And the portions are huuge! It's great for a non-meat eater like me. I always struggle in restaurants because the portions are just not enough for me! Happy Pear is a true gem! Be sure to try their hot chocolate! Tastes great with oat drink!
J. O.
Overnight oats are awesome 😎 great coffee also and fantastic atmosphere amongst staff
A. A.
I love it here, incredible food and the best hot chocolates (it happened to be vegan). Incredible for all vegans, healthy people and people who love delicious food. It's so friendly with great energy and happy vibes.
J. G.
fresh, colourful and tasty vegan food. simply amazing. Prices are normal (i thought it would be more expensive due to the fact that this restaurant is very famous in ireland). Love the vibes and the good mood in the restaurant. Very friendly and positive staff!
S. U.
Very nice sourdough cinnamon rolls
A. S.
Yeah it's good but not everything is like that, some food looks like it has been sitting for too long, really expect it to be as good as the price suggests (top food/top money)
H. M.
It was a very exciting experience, I love following the cafes gorgeous photos and news on Instagram, so to finally visit was great! The Happy Pear lived up to every expectation and defiantly worth the journey from London! 😊👍 I ordered a great spread of the different breakfast foods to share around the family and it was delicious! Top marks for the porridge with all the toppings! 😋😋😋
K. D.
Nice spot, great selection of foods. But of a queue for coffee but speaks to the quality of the place
S. S.
Recent reallocation of space optimises the area. The food as always is beautiful, full of colours and textures. Always a delightful feast at the Happy Pear.
One recommendation I would make, is to close the doors, as the breeze throughout can be a little chilly.
S. D.
Lovely delicious food, best vegan food I ate. Greystones shop full of fresh veg and fruits, and super yummy meals 😋
Now also on the airport departures which is fantastic. Fresh and super tasty. Absolutely love it 😍
N. S.
This place was a breath of fresh air! I've been gladly eating hearty Irish meals all week, and my body was craving fresh organic meals. They luxuriously give the greens with every bite, and the portions are hearty. I walked away filled and happy-- true to their name. I recommend trying their Sally's Seedy Cookies, a wonderful dessert after a great meal.
M. R.
Great vegan friendly place with food so great that even meat eaters will like! Poems, quotes and art on the walls with wooden furniture and nice cushions. Gets very busy but don't be put off by the queues, the service is fast and there's plenty of seating inside and out!
A. M.
Delicious food and great service.
Only disadvantage would be the long queues to place orders. However it definitely worth the wait!
M. D.
Awwwwh it was so lovely to be here in the happy pear. I've been wanting to go for ages. The food was delicious remembering that this restaurant is vegan. We had vegan carrot cake it was absolutely delicious.. Look forward to going back... There's a shop next door to the restaurant.. Sell lots of good healthy food..... Price for food was reasonable also....
S. P.
Great little cafe with great views nestled just inside the garden of Ireland. The food is amazing, the views are spectacular and the staff are all very friendly. They are also very knowledgeable about the local area and gave me sound directions
J. 1.
Great food, when you have several allergies it's a good choice! I got something gluten/egg/milk free. And it was delicious, and I was full. Happens not very often. The shop is also very nice!
D. O.
Absolutely delicious food here in Greystones. Vegetarian at its finest. Lovely staff. Lines can get long but move quickly. Tip: if you just want a tea, coffee or something quick, go to the counter in the shop to the left of the food counter where there's no queue.
S. F.
Tasty food, amazing cake! Proud to be Vegan!
V. J.
It's a lovely place with amazing staff and great atmosphere. Ireland certainly needs more places like this, with a focus on healthy lifestyle. The seats could be more comfortable and I'm not too fond of their coffee. Hot chocolate is delicious and I love most of their cakes and cookies.
B. B.
Lovely food, great store!
q.
Very tasty food
D. C.
First of all, great staff, very kind people. Food is just beautiful. Had the Mediterranean Lasagne one day and the Pinto bean burger the other, full of flavours, perfect seasoning.
Had also a carrot cake and I'll be definitely going back for more.
N. H.
My favorite place to eat in Ireland. This spot is life changing. There is always a line but it is completely worth the wait.
In addition to the food being health, all veggie, and delicious, the owners are there and friendly serving you fruits and energy bars while you wait in line.
Also, the coffee bar here is awesome!
L. K.
Very friendly staff. Lovely outdoor space. Quite pricey though for what it is. €4.50 for what was a very small (and stingey) serving of granola.
M. R.
There is no other word ro describe the food here. Its is just amazing.
J. I.
Great dishes and very popular (crowded). Came to the Happy Pear at the strong recommendation of another and was more than delighted. No "fine dining" here, whatever that is, just delicious dishes, and while I am not a Vegetarian, all the dishes served here could possibly make me one!
Well, maybe...
L. K.
Great spot for lunch after doing the Bray to Greystones walk. The menu is diverse and always very tasty, stay is always very friendly and accommodating too which is nice. It's great that there's a little shop as well to grab some healthy essentials before heading back home
C. B.
Loved the 2 soups we has as well as the delicious potatoes! My favorite thing to do when traveling is to find the healthy and delicious places to eat and I sure found both at The Happy Pear!
C. M.
This place is a goldmine. Everyone is happy to queue out the door as they feed customers with samples of their food. They are marketing geniuses. Coffee is amazing.. the food is gorgeous and vegetarian.. you can see everyone is happy to work there..would highly recommend..and would love to go back..
M. T.
Great food. Love going here in the summer because I can sit outside with my dog after a long walk and get something healthy and, more importantly, delicious to eat. Plus they have a water bowl for the canine! Sometimes very busy but there is good reason!!
P. P.
Was a bit disappointed by the place. Didn't live up to its hype, the pastries were average (not saying this because they were vegan - I'm a vegan and I love cake) and the drinks not particularly flavorful (hot chocolate was watery). By no means a bad experience, but not one I would repeat.
S. J.
Nice food for veggie vegans, a bit pricey but not too unreasonable. Very busy but plenty of seating. Only downside was the amount of starlings and their mess as they prey Hitchcockesss on unsuspecting diners in the back garden.
D. K.
I just love the place. Amazing food, the staff is always polite and willing to help.
The place is cozy and nice decorated.
The food is everything a health person could ever want.
V. -. F. a. T.
Great food and great ingredients, for vegans and vegetarians. Food is fresh, well cooked and portions are big. Prices are ok. There's a grocery shop downstairs, but prices are too high. Great place even if you're not vegan or vegetarian. Always crowded, but the wait is worth
M. R.
Great quality food, particularly like the "Fancy Porridge" 👍
C. V.
A great little store and cafe, delicious food, and lovely space. The little loft upstairs is adorable and a pleasant environment to sit, but if you come around lunch time it may be hard to find seating. Even when crowded, the shop still has a pleasant environment to it.
C. K.
The Staff are amazing! Such an energised and happy environment. Eager to help and answer questions and quality of produce is outstanding! My first trip to Ireland and Happy Pear as on my top list of places to visit. Glad we made the time to go. Their dark hot chocolate!!!!!!💗💗💗💗💗💗 miss it so much! The people who live in the same street as Happy Pear are lucky to be so close to it!
M. d. F. M.
If you are in Greystones or nearby you cant not pay a visit to the famous restaurant Happy Pear! The decor is fabulous, love the genius details, the food is great and the shop is full of very healthy options. Highly recommended!
A. D.
Constantly at the top of their game. Vegan options galore, and a friendly set of staff to top it all off.
Pros:
- Delicious vegan food (even my parents loved it!)
- Helpful and friendly service
- Shop/market next door
- Clean toilets
Cons:
- It's all the way out in Greystones
- It's a bit pricey for vegan food, but it is delicious.
D. C.
A long time favorite spot, just don't make it there very much. Had the favourite 'Fancy Porridge' with the kids, packed full of fruit and natural sweetness, all-around deliciousness. Gorgeous Latte and tried the vegan croissants, which were substantial and wholesome. Felt sustained enough to take a rare dip and swim in the Irish sea nearby. Knew the guys when they were starting off, so great to see how successful the whole operation has become. Cafe was unusually quiet maybe because they were opening their new shop and cafe in Clondalkin. Picked up their new bars on the way out which the kids really enjoyed. Great cafe, great books and super online profile and information.
S. S.
If you are traveling to Ireland... one must visit Greystones and this place the happy pear is a mussttt... its vibrant. Their food , their staff, the vibes of this place is beyond magical. Pick any dish, each is divinely delicious. Their coffees .. oh damn! I love their flat white personally.
R. M.
I love the happy pear. Every experience I have had here has been a good one. Amazing food and staff. They are always ready for a chat and to help you out. At the weekend when it's busy the twins often walk the queue to hand out samples.
M. R.
Disappointed after all the hype. First time there on Saturday. Soup was only ok and they didn't give me any bread with it, when I asked for some I was told they were out however there were boules for sale in the shop. Seating, everyone is on top of one another and plates weren't being cleared away, we had to clear our own table.
N. Z.
Great place, tasty food!!
K. O.
Worth the queue. Lovely buddah bowl, dahl and veggie lasagne. Decent coffee. Delicious carrot cake. Very reasonably priced (€12 mains, €2 salads, €4 soup). The only negative is when the separate coffee station is unmanned (like it was today) you have to join the back of the very long food queue just to get coffee.
S. T.
Stopped off at Happy Pear for delicious al fresco breakfast - sitting outside in the blazing morning sunshine, bright Mexican style Adobe colours - teal blue, kingfisher blue & zesty orange - divine granola pot with natural Greek yoghurt & figs, washed down with a thirst quenching Ginger Root Shot- sublime, pure bliss 🍃🙏🏿🦋🍃
Q. V.
The vibe here is great! The products are amazing! I especially enjoyed the Sally's Seed Cookies! The prices are just at the right spot! I highly recommend the lasagna !
M. W.
Just had lunch here. It's great to see a place with vegetarian and vegan menu. The food was very good. Plenty of seating at least midweek, upstairs in rear garden and pavement at front.
L. W.
Delicious and nutritious food. Pity about the hiked prices. Very expensive. But portion sizes are good and the flavours are great. The baby cino is fantastic for kids.
M. O.
The food was healthy and tasty, but significantly overpriced. €35 for 3 lunches with no drinks is not good value for money. Place is nice and friendly though and there does not seem to be any lack of people willing to pay their prices as the place was busy
A. W.
The best of vegetarian and vegan. Yoga vibes.
F. W.
Thoroughly deserving of all the praise that has been heaped upon it, the Happy Pear fulfilled all our requirements, and then some.
The food was delicious, nutritious and well presented.
The single origin coffee was also exquisite and the baristas were on top of their game.
We actually made the pilgrimage from Spain especially.
We'll no doubt be back again as soon as the opportunity arises.
Long live the vegan way.
c. k.
the iron GRIP on middle aged white women this place has is obscene. €2 for a small can of plain water!!!
L. D. N.
This is the perfect spot for health concious people, where you can enjoy healthy, filling meals and treats, in a colourful atmosphere rich in positive vibes. The staff is super friendly. The selection of options is large and the coffee awsome. They also have a store that sells organic veg and prepared meals. Family friendly. Couldn't get any better!
K. G.
Very mixed feelings about this. The cafe is brilliant. Great food lovely people. The shop describes itself in the cookbooks as a greengrocer and I was really looking forward to visiting having avidly read the books.
The shop is a total disappointment. In the books the the twins claim to care about the environment and local produce and to be against packaged meals.
The shop contains almost no local produce. Instead it is all organic shipped in from abroad. NO IRISH POTATOES! In Ireland! Just ones from Holland! Unbelievable!
Majority of shop consisting of ready made food! Plastic tubs of stuff galore! Tons of ready meals!
My illusions were totally shattered. No genuine commitment to the environment or local suppliers.
Fruit and vegetables all with air miles. Enough plastic tubs of stuff to fill an ocean.
Seriously don't go if you have read and love the books. It will break your heart.
A. P.
Wonderful food and such friendly happy staff
F. S.
Just amazing, this is the perfect spot in Greystones: super friendly staff, extraordinary food quality and not expensive. We often cook recipes from The Happy Pear at home and we have never been disappointed, check out their books or website! They offer vegetarian and vegan food, here you will learn how tasty veggies can be!
A. P.
Very tasty vegan options
J. F.
This place is sometimes great sometimes not so great. I had a wonderful dinner here, but sometimes you might find many vegetarian dishes, and only one vegan main dish. Soups I had here are not great, and also the chilli has a weird taste.
S. C.
Great place for delicious vegetarian food after doing the Bray to Greystones cliff walk! Quite busy on the weekend with a line out the door but there's no table service so it moves fairly quickly. Also fun to browse the organic produce/health food shop. I heard they are opening up their new flagship in Dublin, will this location remain open?
J. L.
Delicious vegan and vegetarian food at a great price. The staff are friendly and the outdoor seating area was lovely on a sunny day. It can get busy at peak times so prepare to wait.
G. M.
My wife and I are vegetarian and we love this place. We also have both their cookbooks and have tried out a few of the recipes in them. They turn out to be great even though we are usually missing some of the ingredients and have to make do with whatever we do have!
L. M.
Very different good food. All vegan though. Expect huge queues every weekend. In summer it could be 20-30 mins! Great coffee and they serve a few local beers
J. R.
Quick lunch, very tasty
J. P.
Fantastic place for Vegetarians and Vegans. However if you have a dietary need (Gluten Free) or allergy (nuts...) beware of chance of cross contamination.
R. C.
Enjoyed the food and location. but very busy and the sales model of same sale method between shorter coffee break than for lunch, due to the location and layout of the place is not something i would recommend. unless i was there on a particularly busy day.
L. Z.
Amazing food! Embarassing how vegan food can be that delicious! Loving the style of the place as well, colorful and well decorated! Recommended!!
A. K.
The staff are always so happy! And that happiness definitely ends up in the quality of their coffees and food. They even have suncream available for the odd day you need it :) Highly recommended.
T. P.
Very good vegan burger and lasagna, the place is crowded, but worth the wait!
A. d. J.
Love this place! The food is delicious, big garden and spaces to sit. The cakes are lovely and they have a little shop where you can buy all kinds of veggie and vegan foods.
C. J.
What a lovely place to eat nd great service
C. C.
Best breakfast ever, love this place
S. B.
Vegetarian and vegan food. The food was nice but a limited menu. Seating at the front of the restaurant and in the courtyard behind it. There is also seating upstairs. With rain and chilly weather we had to sit upstairs. As parents of a kid with special needs this is a little troublesome. He made it upstairs with some help when he needed to use the toilet (didn't see one downstairs). No disabled toilet so a little cramped when we were in there. Appart from that and the tight spacing between tables making it hard for our kid to manoeuvre around the restaurant it was tasty food. Also it was very busy and we had to que up on the street for about 20 minutes. We will return but maybe mid week would be quieter.
M. H.
An amazing treasure trove of quality fruit and veg, vegetarian and organic foods and ingredients, as well as a delicious selection of dishes to take out or eat in!
Lovely relaxed seating area upstairs.
Staff are super helpful and friendly!
M. H.
Wonderful and friendly service at The Happy Pear in Greystones Co Wicklow today
S. Z.
The food is okay. Coffee and chai is delicious. Fun atmosphere, but they made a mistake twice when charging me (Overcharged). It’s a bit chaotic when ordering
A. L.
Super friendly staff. Chai latte not great..... Choc brownie also not great.
F. M.
A busy little shop and quick eating place. Great for coffee and vegan foods with a few eating areas. Great after the cliff hike from Bray
m. p.
I love everything I try in this place! Food is health and so delicious at the same time! The deco upstairs is very cool and cosy with the fire place on. Let's not forget the super friendly staff! Well done, great place!
J. R.
Travelled from Kildare to visit this cafe. The vegan Twix was delish and it was very cosy upstairs with the wood burner, the owners were there and were engaging with customers. All staff looked like they enjoyed working there which says a lot! Coffee was nice, burned my tongue but I got over it! We will be back
C. W.
Yummy. Highly recommended. Great healthy food with all the ingredients next door! Can get very busy so be prepared to wait as it is has a very small service area.
A. A.
The most delicious vegetarian food I've ever had, probably my favorite restaurant while visiting Ireland! The setting is stellar, and it was so pleasant to sit and eat the amazing food
C. Q.
Food was amazing, and staff are just so lovely, i was so excited to visit and it was everything and more than I could have wished for.
D. R.
Delicious food, great coffee and gorgeous desserts. This place has a great friendly vibe with a quick and friendly service. There is plenty of seating upstairs and out the back. It is definitely worth the visit if you are in the area.
J. E.
Very nice location and very tasty food
N. R.
I love the way that you have educated all types of people, on the benefits of healthy food, from school kids to builders. Your food is not only good for you, but also fantastically tasty.
The queues out of the door, no matter the time of year or the weather is testament to the message you are bringing. I think it's time for another book.
O. F.
Hippy vegan done right! Falafel and roast beet wrap was tasty, colourful and stuffed with fillings. A delicious turmeric oat milk latte accompanied a molasses gingercake. Nice ambiance, nice staff.
A. J.
I came with full confidence in this place for it's amazing vegan and veg food, and left feeling like the bang-for-your-buck was quite low. One small square of lasagne (approx 6 bites) sets you back 9,50eur and comes with no sides! Sides are all extra. My meal was 19,50 in total :( I only got two sides and wished I got a third since I felt hungry after my meal. In addition, the kombucha was overly sweet compared to any normal kombucha brand. The thing that brings my review up to 3 stars is the coffee - delicious! I'd love to come back again, but dear owners, just because you've hit jackpot with your business does not mean you should charge insanely high prices! Please adjust. Kindly :)
A. D.
Love the staff and the food. Its nice to know the owners are always around for clients
H. V.
Nice cozy place. Kind staff and very nice food.
G. O. C.
Fantastic Vegan dishes served up by very friendly staff .
C. N.
Not a vegan but didn't feel I was missing out. Food delicious. Had the Moussaka and bought the recipe book so I can recreate at home. Enjoy following u on Instagram so much so that I came from Malahide to enjoy my first vegan meal. I wasn't disappointed. Staff so friendly and helpfu. Even spoke to your Mam.l Continued success x
E. (.
For a place so famous, its a big let down to come.
M. A. d. S.
Healthy and trendy place! Family and organic friendly place! I love happy pear and all their food culture. Also, I did the happy heart course with the famous twins Dave and Stephen! Highly recommended!😀
J. D.
Great place for a healthy lunch
P. S.
Another one off my want to visit and eat. , Wonderful cafe and great to see mama running around buzzing looking after everyone. ..Wonderful food and great coffee and cake 😍❣
D. F.
The food here is beyond tasty & I love that they offer free fruit for children.
However the service delivery needs a rethink. Queues snaking through the people trying to enjoy their meals at the outside tables & a carvery style set up which moves really slow when busy.
Our food was merely tepid by the time we managed to pay and find a table.
I also seemed to be served by the ditziest barista in Dublin- she 'forgot' she was making my coffees and floated off to restock glasses instead. After 5mins of waiting another staff noticed, apologised and made my coffees.
I wouldn't be rushing back here, tasty food or not.
M. S.
Travelled all the way from South Africa to visit this restaurant. It certainly lived up to the hype - great service, fantastic food! Would recommend this place to everyone
A. M.
I love everything about The Happy Pear! Their food is so yummy and the best part is that it is healthy!!!!!! You will not leave hungry for sure because the portion is so generous. This is the perfect way to end your Bray to Greystones cliff walk😁 Get yourself a delicious treat afterwards as well!
S. D.
Nice, a lot smaller than I thought from their Instagram account. Great service and nice healthy treats
A. G. D.
Staff unorganised for ordering, having to deal with 2/3 people to get what you want. Visited on a lovely sunny day and sat outside at the back. While the area is nice the bird problem isn't and needs to be addressed.
D. C.
Great little place perfect for a quick bite to eat. So delicious we got food to take away.
S. F.
Loved the food. However, I Went here because I thought it was all vegan was very surprised to find out it wasn't an only vegan cafe.
j. m.
Great food and dog friendly
M. D. S. X.
Lovely vibe, good vegan and vegetarian food in the cafe, fresh organic veggies, nice community spirit. One of my favourite places in greater Dublin!!
R. B.
My favourite spot in Ireland I have to say. In a sunny day it's worth the travelling to Greystones just to savour it. Bear in mind it can busy at times but you can grab a take away salad and a coffee in their little shop and bring to the beach... They are fantastic!
E. J. E.
Amazingly healthy veggie place with the happiest, loveliest owners. Even when queues are long it's totally worth the wait as the food is incredible and the brothers will giveaway free tastings to the people waiting.
R. A.
Lovely vegetarian food by celebrity "pear". Good hearty organic meal options. However it's cafe/canteeny set up rather than a restaurant. Has a reputation of a must visit vegetarian cafe in Ireland.
V. L. P.
This place is heaven! I'm Italian and their veggie lasagna is the best I've ever eaten!
Everything is fresh and extremely good ;)
You're doing great guys!
7. m.
Just a great place. A variety of vegan/vegeterian options all well prepared and beautifully served plus the nicest staff you can imagine. All this at remarkably good prices. Just go.
B. Ş.
Great vegan place with a super cool interior design also their garden is awesome. I recommend you to eat lasagne and drink coffee! Ps. Granolas in the market are not that much good.
A. T. (.
The Happy Pear is amazing. They have a health food shop and a café with seating all in the same building. At the café the food is awesome and has a lot of flavour and variety. I had the chickpea salad at the café and it was delicious. I also bought the two cookbooks so I could make even more delicious food.
K. W.
I love all the food is amazing because I want to sign in?

C. B.
Lovely food but a bit messy with queues all over the place. Had to walk outside to get back in to get a seat with my food! We where also charged for an extra meal because of the confusion. Was rectified upon leaving. Food is lovely
C. K.
Trendy, but great, super tasty, healthy lunch spot, ideal on sunny day - but come early as there’s always a queue, even in the rain!
NB. Upstairs / outdoor seating only.
H. F.
Friends brought us out for lunch at the Happy Pear to inject some healthy eats into our Dublin weekend. The food was fresh, flavourful, and fantastic. We basked in the afternoon sun, cosy by the roaring fire, in the comfortable upstairs and topped it off with a slice of courgette cake.
P. M.
My favorite vegetarian restaurant in Dublin. Lovely food, super friendly staff, freebies... What else can you ask for? You can't miss the seedy cookies
P. O. C.
I was a little disappointed with the food here.
Everything was ok, but nothing outstanding.
The sweets were a little sickly. Coffee was ok.
The salads were nice, tasty & fresh. The soup was hearty & wholesome.
A. C. V.
Iconic place, after following them on you tube. Doesn’t dissappoint. Great healthy food. Happy atmosphere. Feel good experiece!
Q. O.
Lovely place for a healthy and delicious meal. It was a very positive surprise at our arrival in Greystone. The portions are also very generous.
J. P.
The guys who run this place are fabulous. Great recipes lovely people what more could you want!
F. I.
Love it love it love it! Great food, great environment. Lots of to go options. And, not expensive. It can get a little busy at times. Drink the fluoride free water!
m. m.
I have never really followed recipe books before but I must say I've never cooked so many things from the one cookbook before...each one as fabulous as the next!!! I made Thai coconut, sweet potato and lemongrass soup yesterday. ..and it's amazing. ...from the yellow cookbook. Great book lads...thanks Monica Dineen..Tralee.
W. M.
Lovely food & friendly staff. Given the long queues and lack of table service, not great for lunch with kids.... which is also a positive if you're not with your kids :)
d.
Outdoor area rough and ready..
D. B.
Happy place! Delicious food!
C. G. S.
Fab spot!! Would highly recommend! ❤ The coffee alone= 5stars
N. L.
Friendly, fabulous, tasty, healthy and HAPPY....just a few words to describe my visit to The Happy Pear Cafe and Shop. Had a delicious lunch, dessert and their very own coffee, fabulous. To top it all off, met both Stephen and David who were personable, friendly, sincere, true to life........and HAPPY :-) can't wait to be back!

Beautiful cappucino, but why not seperate queue for coffee orders?. Stuck behind many salad plates. Disappointed as smoothie given in bottle. Liked decor and nice feel.

Just one word AMAZING. This place became my go to place whenever I visit Ireland. Staff is adorable and food delicious and perfect for a healthy not expensive lunch. Coffee delicious also.

Had a great smoothie there. I now make them at home I am hooked on them. Very good for you with nuts berries, veggies, all the fruits.

My favourite place to get food considering I've turned vegetarian. They have made my life less complex when i come over to Ireland to go to a place i can eat and nice and friendly.

Fantastic food very tasty I'm not vegan not even vegetarian but I loved it didn't miss the meat at all will be back when I'm back in the area lovely setting on the street great staff lovely all together keep up the good work brilliant

Beautiful & healthy food. This place is so good there are always queues out the door but it's worth the wait and there are usually some free samples handed out while you're waiting.
A. R.
Love this place. It's only getting better and better, and now they have a cookbook too. The delicious veg dishes are a must, but you also have to try the dark hot chocolate! Mmm.
R. M.
A nice spot for a takeaway coffee, queuing is poor though and they don't really take control/responsibility of the mass of people outside their shops.

Well what can I say about this place.
Firstly it's in the lovely town of Greystones and right beside South beach.
The food is really good, I had the vegan Shepherds pie and it was amazing.
Would go again as it is friendly and goos for kids too

The happy pear has become a household name as the twins who run it have syndicated their products out for distribution through supermarket chains. They have also been regulars appearing on Irish TV shows becoming minor celebrities in their own right. The original organic vegetable store and café has expanded on site and is always exceptionally busy. However they have managed to maintain its personal touch as they both still work on site offering more than just good food but also a positive example of healthy life style choices(no alcohol, no meat). It's just all so wholesome.

One of the best vegan cafes. Theres one in clondalkin and grey stones. Although there wasnt much options for someone with a nut allergy.
S. E.
Best organic food - beautiful atmosphere. We we there after hiking from Bray to Greystone. It was delicious and I can't wait to go again!
M. K.
This place never disappoints! Not only is their food delicious, but it's good for you too (at a reasonable price). Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly.
M. I.
Long queue to order the food. If the weather is nice you can enjoy a lovely backyard with tables to have the food. The shop is quite expensive
M. B. J.
Lovely food, lovely staff, well worth a visit

Great place, great atmosphere, amazing food and coffee, and everyone is super friendly... A good bunch of jokers 😊
L. T.
Nice atmosphere and good food.

What a happy pear of hypocrites! Calling themselves Vegan and making Profit on animals, supporting the egg and dairy industry? There pesto have dairy and egg(hens period). Milk cheese egg honey in most of their ingredients. Very limited pure plant based options. What a waste of an opportunity? If they only remove them ingredients they could be the most popular vegan restaurant in Ireland.
A. C.
Tasty, healthy food in a homey atmosphere. Limited veggie menu with a large array of baked goods, great coffee, and a small shop selling produce.
C. S.
Lovely food! Amazing coffee! Best atmosphere! Baby friendly.
C. K.
Enjoyed a Buddha bowl here after doing the Bray-Greystones walk! Gorgeous food, gorgeous atmosphere, lovely staff! Everything was perfect.
C. O. M.
Very tasty lunch and excellent value.
J. R.
A relaxed environment with an air of ambiance about it, a cool place to visit. Friendly staff, great food (coming from a serious meat eater!)... don't dress up for the occasion, the cater for all!!
Y. K.
Yummy porridge...great vibes what's not to love ♥️
A. P.
I love the place and customer sercice but there is no system at till, I think the serving area with the caffe bar is just too small to serve that amount of custumers. Because of that the waiting time is too long.
M. M.
Awesome. Just go there. Nuff said.
A. L.
The Buddha Bowl was delicious and filling, with a refreshing combination of flavors and textures. Sitting in the courtyard garden in the sun was a nice treat.
M. T. N.
It was just perfect ! Perfect food perfect price. Veg lasanha and potato, one Mexican bean bowl, orange juice and Kambucha, paid 25 in total. Definitely I will be back.
E. D.
The lads are genuinely nice people, very cool and open! Food is great if you are into it, place looks so cool and if you go for a swim with them early in the morning they may give you free porridge!
A. R.
I brought my wife here on out first date after doing the cliff walk from Bray to Greystones. Consistently gorgeous food with a great food shop, indoor and outdoor seating, organic wine and naughty but nice desserts
J. F.
The food was really good! Nice hidden gem we heard from someone in Bray on our way to hike to Greystone.
B. M.
We walked from Bray for the experience and we were not disappointed. 2 coffees and 2 desserts at €9.00 was less than half of the price we paid the previous week in Omeath.
O. P.
Very tasty food. Outdoor area is lovely and great to eat under Covid19 rules.
w. k.
An experience just to arrive to their premises. A wonderful place to eat. A feeling of being in on a secret. Been there on four occasions and each time it's the same satisfieng experience. Lovely staff too.Go there!
e. c.
Good atmosphere. Coffee, vegan burger, and cookie delicious. Buddha bowl good, but salads could have been a bit tastier.

Firstly, i admire flynns' job and i support them with all my heart to be very successful. They change irish attitude to healthy food and they are leaders in dublin of bringing better food to your body. Food is very tasty.
Their clondalking establishment is amazing.
However in gresystones shop/cafe i always leave perplexed with staff behaviour. This time i couldnt eat my food on normal plate because they were closing in 20 mins - why im forced to use once off plates and cuttlery landing in the bin 10 mins later?!?
Also all vegetables in shop with heavy air milage - in Ireland in july you cant get irish veggies???!? Apples from argentina!! Onions from holland!! Potatoes from abroad! Lettuce from south europe. And so much plastic with packaging!!! EVERY lettuce in seperate plastic bag. Amount of plastic packaging in the shop is frightening. Stop it guys before we cover greystones and our sea in the plastic and air transport pollution!
M. N.
Awful queuing system food cold before I got to table I was cold queuing outside food good but think shop and service area could change sides. 4 people in party we weren't relaxed. Such a shame
R. W.
Great restaurant for anyone with special dietary requirements. Nice choices available. I'm not vegetarian but still really enjoyed it.
m. d.
Lovely coffee and ginger cake
J. M.
Live this place NOT impressed with them bringing in alpacas to be petted. It's a vegan/veggie restaurant they should know better. If they sit on the fence any longer they'll get splinters in their arses
R. H.
A lovely place , with a lovely atmosphere , happy helpful staff , great healthy food . Coffee to die for beautifully presented and the ideal venue to go for a good ould fashioned chat with friends.
As they say...well be back !
S. C.
You just can't get vegan/vegetarian food as good as this anywhere else. Well worth the trip out to try it!
N. B.
Relaxed bohemian look to the place. Very friendly staff with lots of healthy and interesting offerings. Coffee very good.
Popular and trendy but for good reason.
n. H.
Very tasty food
S. V.
Very popular spot if you are into vegetarian food. Great value, friendly staff. Can get busy prepare to que due to popularity.
R. F.
Impressive range of vegetarian and vegan food available.
P. S.
Food is pretty tasty, good seating outdoors. A shame they charge separately for rice with the curries as it's a surprise charge on top of an already pricey meal
F. M.
Yummylicious Food & LOVELY Peeps!!! Will be back :-)
D. S.
Overrated place. Food was ok, a bit basic. Definitely over priced what you actually get. Friendly staff and very helpful
J.
Healthy and delicious food. One of the places that you just can't miss. The staff is super friendly and the options are superb.
A. D.
Fabulous food and love the composting and recycling bins.
F. Z.
I was surprised how good the vegetarian food can be! And the staff was really nice! Every shop owner should come to visit this place and learn! It is full of positive energy!
A. M.
Great food and coffee. Really like the new expanded seating out the back. The area where food and coffee is purchased could be a bit bigger as it gets very crowded.
M. W.
What an eating experience a must go place wheather your vegan or not .vegan food is exciting delicious and for some reason theres great friendliness among the eaters.go to Greystones have some fun.
R. M.
Great food , healthy and lovely flavours .Staff are always so helpful and friendly, great atmosphere and excellent coffee. Highly recommended
S. B.
Long Que, ran out of food that we wanted to eat. Staff slow at serving food and person on till was to slow. Food that we did get was only ok. I've been before and the food was great, bit of a let down this time.
C. H.
Finally made it to The Happy Pear.Gorgeous healthy food worth queuing 20 mins for. Weather an added bonus as we dined in outdoors. Will return soon again
A. B.
What an institution. Long queue at peak times. Worth it. Yummy and healthy food ! Go for it. Often combined with cliff walk from Bray to Greystones. Celebrity brothers own it.
K. A.
The place is the cutest, the staff is always friendly, the food is delicious, desserts are from heaven, owners are lovely and it's so close to beautiful Greystones beach! 😍
C. M.
The food as usual is really tasty and healthy, however the price is deceptively high considering it is pre-prepared, understandable with fresh and healthy ingredients but still it felt a little cheeky!
A. c.
Very friendly and helpful. Delicious falafel pita 👌
S. C. V.
If you decide to walk 7km which is a lovely cliff walk from Bray to Greystones, this is the perfect place to gain your strength back with their variety of tasty organic foods.
R. D. B.
The place has very tasty food, but it's all vegetarian. Staff is very helpful and you can also find very tasty options in the shop that is adjacent to it, having the same name.
M. W.
It's my favourite place:) love everything: healthy, tasty food, the best coffee, super nice service (they will keep you warm if you wait in line ). Highly recommend it!:)
A. L. S.
Amazing food and very welcoming staff. Not enough words to recommend this place, it was just divine!
M. L.
Amazing food and vegetarian options! The cappuccino is very good, could feel the tasty of my home country Brazil. :)
M. T.
Delicious food, SUPER friendly staff! Very light and bright meal!
L. O. D.
Love the concept. I bring my nieces and nephews to The Happy Pear from Wicklow Town alot. The twins are doing very well financially. I am extremely disappointed that while on The Late Late show they did not mention Greystones or Co.Wicklow to thank the local people that have helped to make them such a success they had an opportunity to promote the Garden of Ireland.
M. P.
Kind of hipster, cakes and coffee were good. But the service was really bad. Had to wait for over 15min in front of the register machine to order as they kind of ignored us on our table
A. A.
Lovely place, delicious soup!
E. C.
Beautiful selection of food here. Too many to name, highly recommend dropping in here especially after an appetising walk
R. D.
Very good i would recommend
