As myself and Muzz sat there munching our club sandwiches we overheard the conversation at the next table where the customer said to the waitress 'that was the best burger I've ever had, and I've had a lot of burgers'. I playfully said to her 'I wish I'd got the burger now' and she was apologetic! The club was possibly the best I'd ever had anyway. Made on sourdough bread, the chicken was tender and the brie and bacon made it a feast to behold. It even had a special ingredient in the mix, the waitress informed us the chef made it with love. Now there's something you don't get everywhere! The Happy Cup is a treasure.

Visited here with my hubby yesterday. We ordered a small breakfast and American style pancakes. Happy I didn't order the the big breakfast as there was plenty in the small one. The pancakes were the lightest, fluffiest pancakes ever. Just lovely.

Great café, with the friendliest, most welcoming staff anywhere. The food is fantastic, both in terms of variety and quality. The only thing I would change is to make it bigger, and I believe something is being done soon in that regard!

Great little coffee shop we had a soup&sandwich and tea it has a covered outside seating area, with heaters which was great in November, the food was delicious, staff very friendly, glad we stopped here for a break from our trip, if you every in Oldcastle please give it a try you won't be disappointed 😁

Love The Happy Cup Café 😊 Really great lunches (including gluten free options) and the coffee is so good. They make some special desserts from time, like macarons and granola & dark chocolate bars. The macarons are honestly the tastiest ones I've ever had! I wish they had the dessert specials in stock all the time 🤤 The staff are lovely too. My only little tiny criticism is that the café gets very busy sometimes, so you're not always guaranteed a seat. I always enjoy a trip here anyway 😊

I love this place! The best coffee for miles around. The food is great with lots of delicious breakfast and lunch options. However most impressive to my sweet tooth is the selection of sweet treats all freshly made on site. The macaroons are perfection.

Such a busy little cafe & easy to see why. Really good tasty food served with charm. The chicken caesar is a definite to try, we had a bit of a wait due to how busy it was but great tasting food can't be rushed.

We visit the Happy Cup on a regular basis and every time we go there we have an excellent coffee /tea plus a great selection of food . Really delicious . The staff are delightful- very helpful, friendly and professional. You are treated like you are a special friend - nothing is too much for them . The place is immaculately clean and always so busy .

After visiting the mounds of Sliabh na Caillí - Loughcrew, we can stop by Oldcastle and this cafe to get some energy. Its menu is simple but well prepared, the handmade cakes are delicious, the staff are friendly and attentive. In short, a great experience highly recommended.
