Reviews of Knockdrinna Cafe
Stopped by unexpectedly and was so impressed! Just homemade soups, breads, desserts, coffees! So delicious and our waitress was so nice! About 15-20min from Kilkenny, we found it by going through a small town on our way to Mount Juliet Equestrian. Definitely worth the stop!!!
P.S. even if you’re full, take some desserts to go! Absolutely wonderful carrot cake and biscotti caramel cake- YUM!!!
100% recommended café stop. Unreal sandwich, coffee and pie + sweet options. The customer service is the cherry on top that makes this place a must-visit for anyone traveling through Kilkenny! You know it's good when it's a staple for local cyclists! Our group had a couple of their vegetarian quiches of the day with side salads and the recently added Roast Beef Ciabatta. Previously we had gotten cappuccinos and lattes with the occasional oat milk shot.
The quiches were baked to perfection with a crust like no other I've ever tasted and the beef sandwich was garnished with an unbelievable homemade pesto and a movingly generous portion of meat. Maybe a little bit too much onion in the broccoli salad but overall 5 star plates. Wish I had space to justify grabbing any one of the gourmet sausage rolls (of which they have 3 types!!). Cappuccinos and Lattes were a perfect way to wake up in the nearby B&B which is also a treat and recommend a stay in.
5/5.
Was on the way to Mount Juliet to meet friends, we were early and had an hour to kill. I suggested we stop somewhere and came across Knockdrinna Cafe. Boy were we glad. It is a little hidden gem, food was gorgeous. Breads and produce in the shop looked very inviting. The treats were devine. Service was great and friendly. Excellent. Thank you.
Absolutely loved this place. The ambience was great and the food very tasty. A wonderful menu. A very wide range to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thankyou for a lovely experience.

Dropped in to get something to take home for lunch. Absolutely yummy. The outdoor dining area looks very inviting. Staff welcoming.
Great place, great food and great people. I am not Irish, but every time that I go to this cafe i feel home. I recommend it 100%!
Was recommended this place by Roisín at Jerpoint Glass. The food is fresh, hot and tasty. We had the vegan toastie with salad and meze platter and were stuffed. Coffee was delicious and piping hot. Fantastic service and price. Would absolutely visit again if in the area.
Lovely place, we had a delicious brunch, made with home made products.
The hostess Helen was very friendly and welcoming, we would 10/10 visit again.
We had toasted sandwiches beautifully presented & served with a smile. Very reasonable prices too.
Delicious food! Couldn’t recommend them enough. The quiche and side salads were so delicious.
Wonderful breakfast with my husband today. I took the vegan option - great combination of flavours. My husband said about his Irish breakfast “the best I’ve ever had. Really good produce and freshly cooked”. We bought pies to take home for lunch and they were delicious.
Really nice. Highly recommended 👌

Lovely local cafe with delicious coffee and food.
Excellent service and food. Vegetarian options were restaurant quality. The broccoli salad is unique and delicious 😋
Adorable little spot and the food was delicious, minimal selection at 1.30 pm and service was a bit slow. Worth the wait, but not ideal in a rush.

On the way to Dublin, looking for something to have breakfast through Google maps, we found this small cafe in a small town, where a very nice lady served us. Everything is homemade, I recommend the scones with homemade cream, jam and butter. Opens at 10:00.
A pub with authentic Irish flavor. The owner and the customers we met were very friendly.
