Stayed here with my partner for our date night in Killarney, and the experience was wonderful! We were greeted with a very warm welcome and shown our room, which was incredibly comfortable.The hostess was very helpful and we booked in for the breakfast the next morning. I had already read reviews about her famous cherry scones and they really lived up to the reputation! Breakfast was very nice, and there was plenty of it! The fresh brewed coffee was excellent too! 11/10, would definitely recommend and will be coming back for sure!

Second time staying here we stayed here for 2 nights this October Bank Holiday weekend ideal location free parking and central to killarney less than 5 minute walk to the town. Greta the host is very welcoming and friendly she couldn't do enough for us. Myself and my boyfriend stayed in room 1 with a lovely mountain view nice spacious room has everything free WiFi, TV, tea and coffee and ensuite with shower. Breakfast both mornings were lovely there's continental and she has a menu with hot food options such as full or mini irish, scrambled, poached eggs and homemade waffles with maple syrup food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We did a hike on our first day and Greta wrapped up homemade cherry scones for our hike we were delighted and ideal for the journey. We will definitely be back again.

Place is really nice! Its close to the train station which is great. Our room was really good with amazing view of mountains. We really enjoyed this! Everything is clean and so nice. We were fortunate to finish our walk of the Beara Way and part of the Kerry Way at Algret House. Greta warmly greeted us upon arrival, and showed us to our spacious and comfortable room. A little off the main road, we were glad to stay at Algret House which is ideally situated for accessing downtown while also providing peace and quiet at nighttime. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic.

Greta is awesome! She is sweet and fun. The beds are good. Rooms are super clean. And the breakfast is over the top! Great service with a smile. She makes sure you are served well. She made homemade scones for breakfast that were to die for! Really enjoyed! Would definitely stay there again. The only drawn back would be, you could hear noise from other room. But in a full B&B, could be expected. Definitely worth it.

My sisters and I spent 3 days at Algret House in August, 2015. We loved every moment with Ms. Greta! The rooms are just right; very clean with comfy beds, enough walking space, plenty of bedding/blankets, and enough storage for luggage. The breakfasts were my favorite during our 11 trip to Ireland! (Ms. Greta also serves Barry's Tea, my favorite Irish tea!) My husband and I will be returning guests this summer because of the excellent experience we enjoyed at Algret House! We look forward to seeing you Greta!

Great location! The Algret House is on a quiet street yet only a 5 minute walk to the center of town. The room was cozy and clean and I slept great! Greta was so helpful with my travels and also made some incredible scones. The breakfast that her husband Gordon cooked was the best I had during my entire vacation. I highly recommend this B&B!

We had a great time at Algret House. Greta was very kind and gave us great tips on our tour of the Ring of Kerry, and Alfred cooked a fantastic breakfast. The house is just 5 min away from the city center, very clean and tidy.

The host was incredible. We had rented a mobile wifi broadcaster for our phones to connect to and it didn't work. When the host saw us struggling she gave us a road map of Ireland. We used it for the remainder of the trip to navigate the country and make it to all of our destinations. This is a great place to stay, close (within a brief walk) to the heart of downtown. The proprietor is a very positive, helpful, wonderful soul! The breakfast was quite enjoyable, and the rooms were incredibly clean. We stayed for two nights.

Such a warm welcome, spotlessly clean with great food. It's also a 5 minute walk from the centre, which makes it near enough but lovely and quiet for a good nights sleep. Would definitely recommend this place, it's great.
