A hidden gem in Loughrea! A small but mighty menu that really focuses on perfectly toasted sandwiches packed full of top-quality ingredients. Lovely baked goods too. The pair that run the place are SO friendly and chatty too, it would raise your spirits to visit. Takeaway only but there are plenty of places around to go for a walk and enjoy

Called into Conor and Sarah in Slow Roast on our way back from a weekend in Galway. Well what a spot. They have a great menu and top quality sandwiches, iced coffees, and cookies ! The shop itself is cozy and parking only around the corner makes it easy to get to aswell ! We got the “Argha Musha” and “Hang & Cheese” and a lovely kinder cookie too ! Only problem is it’s a 3 hour drive from Wexford for more ! 😂 Best of luck on your venture guys and can’t wait to visit again !

The best toasties, amazing sweet treats and super friendly welcoming owners. I'm wondering why am I reviewing your shop and increasing your popularity, when what would benefit me would be to keep your place a well hidden secret, just for a few lucky costumers 😂😂😂 Only joking, you guys deserve all the success and crowds! I've tried all of the toasties many many times and the quality, the attention to detail and the consistently high standards in taste and presentation are second to none. I'll make a special mention to the Arragh Musha, because not everyone can nail it so well when it comes to vegetarian sandwiches. The Oreo croissants are absolutely fabulous and the perfect treat/breakfast/elevensies, the Kinder Bueno cookies are superb and the blondie was a really nice surprise. Last but not least, being welcomed by Sarah and Connor at Slow Roast is being greeted as if we were old friends, with smiles, a nice chat, suggestions of what to try when you're too hungry to decide. Seriously, if you haven't been to Slow Roast yet, you don't know what you're missing!

Was so worth the spin from Galway! We had the ham and cheese and the beef and both were amazing. We didn't try the treats so another reason to come back! No better way to enjoy the food then to park the car just a few mins away at the lake. Will be back again!

I have recommended Slow Roast to anyone who will listen. Brilliant service, lovely people. The coffee is spot on. The sandwiches though!! From the moment you walk in the smell is incredible. I have given up just trying to go on for a coffee because the moment you smell their house blend cheese, it's Toasty Time!! If you are in Loughrea do yourself a favour and sample any of it. My favourite is the classic Hang & Cheese but I've tried most now and they are all top drawer!

Finally tried Slow Roast for the first time. I got in when it was quiet and was talking to all three lovely staff members. So welcoming, and chatted away while waiting for my food. Sandwich was divine and they left the sweetest message on my coffee cup that I didn't see until I got home. I'm so delighted to see a new young business thriving in Loughrea and I'm so excited for their future and can't wait to see them going from strength to strength. The best gem in loughrea! Toasties that never disappoint. Proper beef and ham slow roasted and the smell of heaven when you walk in the door! Conor and Sarah are the two nicest people you can meet who always have time for a chat. The coffee is to die for and always that perfect temperature to enjoy straight away!

Great place for a takeaway lunch. Toasted sandwiches are unreal. I had the Aragh Musha. It was some bang for your buck, great value altogether. The coffee was also very nice and unfortunately I was too late for the cookies. The guys behind the till are very nice and always serve with a smile. Keep it great work guys, this place is something Loughrea was crying out for for a long time. I’ll be back to try other sandwiches and hopefully I'll get a cookie !

This is a real hidden gem, we visited here on Sat afternoon, a very unassuming little place , but from the moment you walk in the door , you know this is not going to be a “regular sandwich .. we found a line of people in front of us.. all happily waiting and chatting about which one, of the four choices of sandwiches they were going to choose.. from names like “Arrah musha!! “ my grandma used to use this phrase a lot” and hang n cheese” We order the hang n cheese.. and can see, this is all done from scratch.. This really was more than a sandwich ! Straight away it brought back memories of my childhood were my mother cooked proper ham for dinner no packaged stuff here!! The smells of slow cooked ham ! Was just divine! Served with some crisps just what we needed..for dessert we thought let’s have a cookie 🍪 another joy as it’s not an ordinary cookie!!! You simply have to try!! From start to finish this was enough to fill us for the rest of the day ! Staff were also very friendly .. “Conor and Sarah so friendly and enthusiastic “ Over All A unique experience from a small unassuming premises .. and fantastic value for money ..

Exceptional experience. The 'Hang and cheese' was mouthwateringly tender, the filling was neither too little, nor too much. Needless to say the toastie kept me filled right up until dinner!
