Maynooth is a beautiful town, so I love to visited and stop for a coffee here. Looking great inside and have few tables outside also. Staff is nice. I like the shop design, that is telling you must be a good place, and it is indeed. From the bike parked outside to the decorations inside, love everything. Congratulations.

We were looking for somewhere handy for lunch today while in Maynooth and decided to drop into the Glenroyal Hotel, mainly for convenience of parking to be honest! I cannot recommend Shoda highly enough, a rustic, market style layout, which was spacious and comfortable. A family of 4, we were met by the friendliest of staff, Covid vaccines confirmed in seconds and then shown to our table. We ordered our food at the counter, again the staff were most welcoming and helpful, and it was delivered in no time. (Absolutely delicious, freshest cut sandwiches included.) All very reasonably priced, a most enjoyable hour spent all in all in very pleasant surroundings. We will be back for sure, well done to all👍

Beautiful Saturday morning so let’s eat out .. Shoda is great .. In a v good location and easy parking. Menu’s are varied (I imagine they support the usual dietary codes; vegan choices, gluten-free and vegetarianism) for us it was a good fry up and toast. But in fairness the menu was not so expensive and offered plenty of choices. Watch out for the very expensive kids breakfast pancakes €6 for pancakes: two of them (yes two pancakes) and a Nutella pot ..

One of our party ordered Croque Monsieur, it looked very impressive when it came to the table (it was the last thing to be served, the waitress had to be reminded it had not been served), the middle of the Croque Monsieur was cold and the Bechamel sauce was cold, unpleasant and was left. When the waitress cleared the table she was told, nó comment or acknowledgement was forthcoming.

Very pleasant surprise finding Shoda. Friendly staff and quick clearing tables. Food is very good, it is also expensive. Children's menu has good choices. The children meal includes dessert which should be called "tiny taste of dessert" as was minuscule. Would be better to omit "Includes dessert " from menu board. Nice little food market to browse and purchase Irish products. Definitely worth a visit.

Myself and friends have breakfast here every week, service and food is always impeccable. In particular Kasia and Maya (sorry if misspelt??)are incredible, they will offer to drop my coffee down to the table, are always super helpful if asking questions about the menu, will always give suggestions if you're unsure what to order... Etc. Jack is also always extremely friendly and full of energy and enthusiasm at 8am! Yes the food is great too, love the french toast and the porridge. But we keep going there for the people!

Had lunch here today at approximately 2.15pm. I really wanted a nice fresh sandwich but was told they had stopped making them. I did find that odd but as we were pushed for time I didn't enter into a conversation over it and decided on a chicken salad platter.It was really good. I then had a flat white with some carrot cake which was great too.I do like this place I must say.

Lovely cafe in the heart of Maynooth. It was very busy for a Wednesday. Loads of space and food was beautiful. Great selection of seating areas. They serve anything from sandwiches , soup and hot meals and salads. Definitely worth a visit.

Firstly there is no table service. Also I'd advise booking a table. Doubly so if there's a large group. It gets busy. Parking is also tricky as there is a health/ gym centre, a hotel, and a stopping centre. Plus at the weekend's you will get coaches making everything busier. Food is great though. Sandwich soup or dinners are available. Staff are very accommodating.

Nice bright space with friendly staff. Good coffee and cake choice. Lunch caters for all types. Little pricey but is a very popular meeting place from mums' groups, informal meetings to walking groups and solo customers. My only complaint is the noise level. The music is not necessary to the ambience and may be the cause for raised voices. Also, and this is my personal bear bug, the constant banging by the barrista at the coffee machine is unnecessary and is a noise pollutant. But that seems to be everywhere outside of mainland Europe. There is also a range of Irish food and design products for sale.

Cafe is too small a word for this lovely place. There's plenty of room. The decor is quirky. The food is plentiful and fairly priced. The only small negative is the price of the kids juice box.

Very good food and not too expensive. Located not too far from the maynooth main street. Plenty of seating in booths or free standing tables. A club sandwich costs about 10 euro and coffee is about 3 euro. Good ambiance.

Shoda is a pleasant little coffee house beside the Glenroyal hotel. The atmosphere is airy and welcoming if slightly lacking in individuality. Breakfasts are very good with a range of fruit porridge and healthy options in addition to some cooked offerings that were generous in portion size but attractive and not the routine greasy full Irish. Prices were reasonable and better value than some competitors in the village. I would recommend to a visitor. The only minor negatives were the opening at 8am rather than 7.30am which makes it awkward if you have a morning meeting at 8.30. Or looking for something before getting a train to hit 9am in Dublin. To my taste the interior was a little too predictable in design to make it a 'must go to' place.

This is a lovely part of the Glenroysl hotel. It is a comfortable, airy area with a good buzz and friendly athmosphere. There is a nice range to choose from for food and snacks etc, but it is not a full blown restaurant. Shoda can be accessed directly from the outside or through the hotel lobby. Have been here a number of time and it has never disappointed.

Its really hit and miss this place. The food is not bad but depending on who is behind the counter the service is very hit and miss. Nice selection of salads and cakes. It's big so getting a table is never an issue. If they could just sort the staff out then I would rate it higher.

The staff are attentive, friendly and polite, and the venue is airy, comfortable and beautifully presented. Situated close to the main entrance of the Glenroyal Hotel, adjacent to the Glenroyal Shopping Centre, with convenient parking, it is perfect for post-workout refuelling (there's a leisure centre in the hotel), a nourishing breakfast, a leisurely lunch or afternoon tea. Vegetarians and carnivores are well-catered for. It's just become my favourite new venue in Maynooth!
