This is one extra extra special house, with two of the most kind, gentle and attentive owners. We loved it so much, we asked to extended our stay!! It's a hidden gem, so close to everything, but yet a total peaceful haven. It's like stepping back in time once you go through the big front door. The house is steeped in history and has been so lovingly restored. Our room was so bright (the gorgeous October sunlight flooded the room) spacious, and so cozy, with the comfiest bed and the best powerful rainfall shower. Ian and Orla are a wonderful couple who treat you like old friends, and are so attentive, yet give you total privacy. Breakfast was wonderful each morning. We really loved our stay here, it is a very special place.

Beautiful room & beautiful house. Orla & Ian did a fabulous job curating the art & creating a lovely, relaxing space. The rooms are gorgeous (better than the photos), bed is luxurious, delicious food, & lovely hosts. We’re already counting down til our next stay and have been recommending to all of our friends.

Beautiful B&B. Lovely warm welcome from Orla. Complimentary glass of wine in the drawing room with the stove lit on arrival perfect!! Room was huge and spotlessly clean. Beautiful bathroom with good strength shower. Fresh milk to go with your tea & coffee. All Covid requirements met. Breakfast delivered to your room, fresh fruit salad, full irish, with Clonakilty pudding and sausages. A perfect setting. Would highly recommend this B&B. Faultless!!!!

Had an absolutely fantastic stay at Lissanisky House. Beautiful, comfortable room, fantastic shower and bath, and a wonderful breakfast with a view of the mountains. Great location too for exploring mountains east or Lough Derg west. Nenagh is just down the road too. 10/10 would recommend, looking forward to going back.

Lissanisky is just beautiful. The house has some amazing features. Everywhere is spotless and they have taken great measures with Covid. The rooms are a delight and so comfortable. A drink on arrival and shortbread biscuits , an espresso machine in your room plus tea, milk and water. Orla and Ian are great hosts. This is a must to visit.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Lissanisky House for a night on our way to Kerry. We wish we could have stayed longer! This period house has been restored with clear love and care by owners Orla and Ian with no expense spared. The attention to detail and quality in each room is exceptional.
Just like the house, breakfast was served with the same attention to detail and quality. I especially appreciated the delicious cake in our room on arrival and the offer of coffee/tea in the drawing room on arrival.
Thanks Orla and Ian for a wonderful start to our holiday and we look forward to coming again!

From the moment Orla welcomed you at the door you could feel the everyday stress draining from your body. Lissanisky House is a beautifully maintained house that dates back to the 1700s. It has been restored to a very high standard. The bedroom was in keeping with d house and honestly was one of the best night's sleep we had in a while. Our breakfast was delivered to our room and was delicious. All covid regulations were strictly adhered to. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back again. Thank you Orla

What a great find situated about 10 mins drive from nenagh. So nice to see the house restored with the such attention to detail (check out the light switches). We stayed in the O'Meara room with a four poster bed, two large windows overlooking the silvermines, bathroom with great rainforest shower, bath and a little corridor. Bed was like a cloud. Breakfast on both mornings was delicious - great choice and a nice touch to have in room on very pretty delph. Thought has been put into everything in the house. Looking forward to going back!
everything in room and the service

Myself and my fiance stayed here recently with Orla and Ian while looking at wedding venues in the area. The house and the hospitality are genuinely as impressive as any of the places we've been to see. On arrival after a long day of driving we were greeted by Ian who offered us a glass of wine. The rooms are beautiful, retaining a lot of the original features of the house with very modern comforts such as powerful hot showers. The beds were super comfortable and there was even a hypoallergenic option for bed linen. The breakfast was delicious with a ton of options. Best yet it was served in bed (due to covid but lovely touch) Orla's homemade shortbread was delicious too. Couldn't recommend Lissanisky house more! Of note we stayed just as the house was reopened to guests so renovation is ongoing but was in no way disruptive to our stay.

My girlfriend Roisin stayed here recently while working in the area and said it was stunning and the owners were absolutely lovely. She doesn't use Google so asked me to leave this review. She will be back, hopefully with me next time

I stayed here due to work from May 6th-9th.
Well, what can I say about this place? Absolutely beautiful property with bags of character. You will feel that you have stepped onto the pages of a Jane Austen novel. The property has fantastic views of the silvermines. The hosts are incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Thry have masks on at all time and everything is spotless. The bed, soooo comfy it is bordering on the ridiculous. Ensuite shower is gorgeous, plenty of tea, coffee, fresh milk etc. The breakfasts would genuinely have me as excited as a child on Xmas morning waiting for his presents to arrive. Bags of choice.
Overall, great place to stay. So nice and relaxing. Easy to find with good signage and ample parking.
It's a must stay when all this craziness is over with!!!!

We spent our final night on our week long Ireland "staycation" here and we couldn't have finished on a higher note. The house and room décor are exceptional and one can tell how much thought and love Orla and Ian must have poured into it. I'd summarize it as "exceptionally detail oriented", starting with the self baked, hand labeled (and very tasty) shortbread, the additional sanitizer bottles and wipes in the bathroom, two different bath bombs and invitation for a glass of wine in the study. The breakfast presentation and serving was very enjoyable too (lovely tableware), breakfast in the room while watching the sheep graze on the opposing field just has special feel to it. All other checkboxes were definitely also ticked off, excellent bathrooms (real succulents, no plastic!), top notch mattress, linen and pillows, lovely view etc. Before I ramble too much, definitely stay here, you are getting higher end hotel junior suite accommodation for half the price, plus no hotel I ever stayed in had this much character. P.S. Thanks for contacting us and sending us the charger we forgot!

Where to start ? I fell on love with this beautiful house the minute I stepped through the door , the hosts were just so attentive and the absolute luxury of the rooms, I actually suggested to Orla that she adopt me so that I could stay forever thank you both so much
