Found a little unknown treasure in Durrow - we were passing through and headed into Bowe’s cafe. Excellent atmosphere in a stunning setting in the garden. Enjoyed a delightful duck wrap and finished it off with a delicious slice of chocolate cake. Definitely recommend. Looking forward to go back , it is only a short distance from Kilkenny!

Lovely food, nice varied eclectic menu of lunch dishes. I had a Moroccan lamb option last day. Plenty of kids options. Friendly service. Lots of outdoor dining space out the back, deceptive how big it is compared to front entrance. Can get pretty busy, very popular spot at lunchtime.

Nice place, nice staff, ordered a sea food chowder for early lunch, disappointed to find it bulked out with reheated skin on soapy baby potatoes that did not taste good. Also the Chowder came with one slice of homemade brown bread (delicious BTW) with one piece of butter, I asked for a second slice and was charged an extra €2.50 when I declared it at check out. There seemed to be 3 fish varieties and was no shell fish in the chowder.

Lovely atmosphere, beautiful garden and fantastic menu. Main course was delicious, however poached egg was not runny. Some desert items were unavailable, which was not communicated until other members of the party were served. The apples in the crumble were unfortunately crunchy. While the staff were very polite, it was difficult to get their attention and order.

Don't be fooled by the two little chairs outside the front of this cafe. Especially if you have never been to Dorro before. It has a lovely setting out back with plenty of room with gravel paths and some grass areas.This is a little gem. The service is good the staff are friendly and helpful. The setting is relaxing. Just had tea but looking at portions of food being put to other tables they are good and look lovely.well worth a visit.

Really love this little place. Ive stopped here a few times passing through on route to kilkenny. They do a really nice breakfast but they've a lovely afternoon menu if your not in early. The cafe itself is lovely and really comfortable, staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is top class. I'll definitely be stopping in again on my next journey.

Excellent restaurant great value for money there were four of us and a child atheist bill just under €50 .I had a black pudding dish, it was like a roulade black pudding wrapped in cajun chicken and puff pastry with 2 house salads beetroot and cauliflower and roast butternut squash the best salads I have ever eating the texture and flavour were superb, my wife had goat's cheese and smoked salmon, she was very impressed, our friends super salad it was served on bed of large couscous salad, breast chicken, fatal,egg, and our other friend had pulled pork salad and said he said it was delicious Compliments to the staff and management, welldone on the kitchen team. This is our second visit and we will recommend it to all our friends

It was my first time being in Bowes 14/04/2019. Was greeted with a nice smile coming in the door. It seemed busy for a tuesday afternoon. Decided to sit outside, located at the back of the premises. The weather was beautiful and so was the garden. We were asked to order within 10mins and served foodwithin 20mins of sitting down. I had Soup of the day (Sweet Potato, coconut, chili) which came served with a crusty roll filled with chicken bacon and cheese. Priced at €9.50 was well worth the money and very filling. I also never tried a soup with those ingredients and was suprised how nice it tasted. My guests also got a Carbonara and a Smoked Salmon with Beetroot salad and sour dough bread. Both were very pleased with their dishes and said portions were very good and reasonably priced also. I really look forward to coming back here. Keep up with the good work

Great coffee shop! There's plenty of seating inside, and a wonderful walled garden out the back. But they food is also where Bowes pushes itself up on my must stop places, as it never disappoints! Found myself leaving the Motorway just to drive though Durrow to grab a coffee and a bite to eat, even when I knew I would be late... Life is too short!
