Room had an amazing view overlooking a river and town park. Staff were beautifully upbeat and helpful. I'd go back for the food alone, was beautiful 🙂

I'll start with how good the food was, everything we had was amazing the chef definitely know what's he/she is doing! The food definitely brings up my review of this stay, for a 3 star hotel I don't expect much from the rooms the decor could do with a well needed upgrade but the bed was very comfortable! So cant ask for more when staying in a hotel some 5 star hotels bed quality wasn't as good as the bed here! One thing that did put a damp spell to our stay was our first night the fire alarms went off for one hour at 3 am in which we had the baby with us and was terrified and couldn't get back asleep until 6am but all in all a very well lovely team of staff!

Was a little worried about what to expect for the price we paid for 2 adults and a child on a Saturday night. We were more than pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by a very presentable young man who was friendly, helpful and efficient. We were delighted with a huge room with a king-size and a single bed. You could fit 2 more beds into that room it was so big. Room 220. Overlooking a park, nice and quiet for families. Everything was perfectly clean, hats off to housekeeping. We hadn't booked a table for dinner but decided to see if they could fit us in without notice. A wonderful staff member named Evelina promptly sorted a table for us and looked after us so well all evening. I have to commend her for her efficiency and friendliness, it makes all the difference. We only had the mains as we had a big lunch earlier but it was absolutely gorgeous and we barely finished it. I would recommend the cocktails, I had the Pina Colada, great price too. We had a lovely walk around the town after. Lots of shops and things to see and do. The hotel is situated in a nice quieter area for families but still super close to the livelier bars. Breakfast was unbelievable for what we paid for our stay. Loads to choose from, fruit, yoghurt, hot food etc all served by the nicest staff you could hope for. We took a chance on this hotel and I'm glad we did. We'll definitely go back. Thanks Central Hotel for a lovely stay

The place was great. The rooms and decor was very y nice and the staff were very friendly, but..... there were some problems first of all the floor I was staying on had a very unusual smell I dont know what it was but it was not nice. On one of the days a 3 am a fire alarm went off and everyone had to go to the street and I didn't get much sleep after that. Apart from that good time. Reccomend it.👍👍😁

My wife & I stayed here for one night over the bank holiday weekend. For a 3 star hotel, it wasn’t too bad. The room was clean, smelled fresh, bathroom also. The staff we encountered were pleasant enough, although they took a long time to acknowledge you while waiting to be seated in the restaurant when there was nobody in it. The same at breakfast. We were waiting for about 10 mins to be seated. The food at dinner came out quite quickly & wasn’t too bad, the same with breakfast. You get what you pay here for but next time, we’d pay more for a better hotel

I thought it was a decent place to stay. By no means a 5 star (or 4 star) hotel. But the rooms were clean and bathrooms nice enough. I think it’s a matter of value, you get what you pay for. It was a moderately priced hotel and expectations should not be that of a 4-5 star hotel. Having said that I would definitely stay there if I needed a place in Tullamore. Breakfast was ok but probably could find better around town.

A nice Hotel not far from the town centre. The rooms are average and clean. Unfortunately no air conditioned rooms. The bathroom is sober and a shower curtain is not what I would expect and suggest to upgrade the bathroom. Breakfast does not offer a lot of choices and sometimes the bread was dry. The staff is very friendly and always helpful.

The Hotel n the room is nice clean n tidy but the Staff really let the place down. They don't seem the least bit interested in communicating with anyone in the Hotel. It's also a pity there's no tables n chairs outside the dining room in the nice warm weather.

Can't believe this place, absolutely blown away , little gem here folks, lovely clean room, balcony view out across the town park, the bed was unbelievable comfortable, thank god for late checkouts.... Was a struggle to leave it. The staff very friendly, polite , great service , the pints were beautiful, the Guinness .... Wow, just go try one... Overall great budget hotel. Fit our needs for our stay. We only needed a place to sleep and shower as we kept busy traveling the country. Being pretty much in the middle of the country gave us a great chance to be able to explore nearly anywhere (Galway, Dublin, Cork etc) and still be able to make it back without having to drive too much. Cons: No fridge, no AC and no microwave would be my only complaints, albeit them minor. The cooler weather made the no AC a non issue and we used one of the waste paper baskets as an ice bucket with ice from the bar so again, another non issue. The staff are exceptional. Any requests we had were met. Breakfast is an Irish full buffet style. Bread, fruits, yogurts pastries and more. We did not eat lunch or dinner but the bar and staff took care of us well.

Large room 212, big bathroom, very comfy bed, powerful shower and great bath with plenty of hot water, toiletries to hand and TV kettle and condiments in the room, great location, everything is in walking distance, and the hotel is situated away from the noise, haven't paid for breakfast to be included in stay price, but for what's available locally, I think I will test the crack and see what it's like. The choice is quite something for 8 euro, the menu although priced is all inclusive in with a buffet included too, absolute bargain, glad I checked out the crack. Will be my 1st choice on returning to the area.

Nice hotel, value for money. However, it is at large problem that the hotel couldn't track our belongings ( 1 set of hearing aids and 2 sets of earrings ) that we were foolish enough to forget on the desk in room 104 on the 16th of June 2016

There's cigarette burns on the carpets but it makes no difference to the room. Nice place. Parking can be an issue. A bit unorganized on checking in.

Good rival to the bridge house and the court hotel. Doesn't have iconic architecture like the other two do. They look built from the ground up as hotels. This looks like it was converted into a hotel. Not as premium looking. Still worth checking out the prices

I've stayed at this hotel a lot lately and it doesn't fail in any level. Bedrooms are lovely and warm and airy and above all they are spotlessly maintained. This is all thanks to Anna head of housekeeping and her team. Nothing is too much trouble for Anna. Reception area is faultless. The lovely Gary who dances to everybody attention. I know Gary will go a long way in his career. I wish him every good luck along the way he deserves it. In the breakfast area we were lucky to have Pina, Anna and Danielle to look after us. First thing on offer in the dining room was tea or coffee ? Now isn't that the best thing to get and wake up slowly. Buffet breakfast available juices cereals cold meats cheeses fruit etc. Also on offer is a full Irish breakfast which is second to none. Lovely whole meal bread and hot toast. The General Manager Sarah runs a very organised business. Other receptionists include Chiara Sarah Grace and back to where we started with the ever efficient Gary. Michael in the bar/restaurant is always there with a smile and excellent service. I'd recommend this hotel to anybody. Fantastic rates and really worth seeing it's really in the centre of town. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. I'll be back 🌹

On the whole everything was okay, large rooms, a bit dated and well used... Staff mostly friendly, cleanliness could be better, the price wasn't really justified for the location. Breakfast monotonous, but still sufficient. Coffee and tea was good. Elevator is available.

Overall very satisfied. The rooms are relatively clean and the breakfast is really good. At least for the price we paid for a two-person room (€63). However, the hotel is a bit "rocked down" (overall impression, carpet with stains, door handle to the bathroom is almost falling off,... bathroom is nice for that). The location of the room on the first floor was disturbing, as the loud and smelly exhaust air from the kitchen was nearby and it was therefore not really possible to open the windows. But for the price we paid we were really happy.

For this price, which is cheap for Ireland, the hotel and its offering are impressive. Very clean rooms and nice staff. An associated restaurant completes the offer. The hotel is very centrally located. If you go further down the street you will come across a call. With live music. Opposite there is also Lidl, a cheap supermarket where you can find your way straight away. Perfect for a day stop

Apparently had a “1 night room”. Noisy, slightly in need of cleaning (especially the carpet). Bathroom/toilet built quite sparingly. Opposite Lidl, therefore a lot of traffic on the street in front of the hotel. The distillery can be reached on foot in about 10-15 minutes.

Since Tullamore doesn't have much to offer, on the surface, Central was a bright spot. Spacious rooms with thick carpets that make you want to curl up on the floor, clean and with a great view of the Lidl parking lot. Very nice staff. I would choose it again, because there are also visual highlights in the Lidl parking lot every now and then ;-)
